Story
Jason and his best friend, Michael, are finding out just how different things can be...and that magic isn’t as limited as previously thought. What will he do? The God Bradard now wants him to be his champion, but can he do it? He feels trapped. Can he keep Earth safe? Will the dungeon he found and the people he recruits be enough? Will adventure, love, and faith be enough to keep Jason going and to do what he doesn’t want to do: gain power and fight the Gods themselves?

Story
Alex was living the life. His life. He worked as a convenience store clerk to pay for his games and books. At 26 years old, he was living the high life of a loner. But a bullet hole in the head ended all that. There was only one problem: he wasn’t supposed to die that day. Everyone has a time and a day that they are meant to die. That was not supposed to be Alex’s day. So God gave him a choice.

Maxwell Morgan has always been a very practical guy. He started working at age 15 because his foster family was stretched thin. He joined the army right out of high school to earn money for college. Even after getting his first job after college, he kept working the three jobs that let him get there—National Guard infantryman, farmer, and blacksmith. About nine months into his new job in HR, Max’s boss arranged a team-building event. Max and his five female coworkers boarded the plane for Sheridan, Wyoming, and then things went sideways. Alex has come a long way in the fantasy world he now calls home. His sole skill has proven to be pretty overpowered, and he's built up some eyewatering stats during his grind of the dungeon. Not to mention he has two beautiful mages at his side. Now that the business with the Beastkin is over, they plan to head on back to the city, victorious. There's just the minor problem of getting back there, and once they do, perhaps Alex can finally return to the grind. If only things were so simple.

An inn is a place to rest, a place to talk and share stories, a place to find adventure, or a starting ground for quests and legends. It is in this world, at least. To Erin Solstice, an inn seems like a medieval relic from the past. But here she is, running from Goblins and trying to survive in a world full of monsters and magic. She’d be more excited about all of this if everything wasn’t trying to kill her. But an inn is what she’s found, and so that’s what she becomes; an innkeeper, who serves drinks to heroes and monsters. Mostly monsters. But it’s a living, right?

Publisher's Summary
Jason Morgan hates his life.
Three years ago, a car accident landed him in a wheelchair. After two experimental surgeries, he still can’t walk. Now broke and living as a ward of the state, Jason wants nothing more than to walk again and to get out of this hellhole of a hospital.
Enter Games For Life, a gaming company that runs a massive VRMMORPG system. They invite Jason to test their groundbreaking pod technology. In their gaming world, destiny, time, and reality are not what they seem. There, he can even walk again! What could possibly go wrong?
Maybe he should have read the fine print on the contract a little more closely. He just wanted to build a cabin in the woods, but apparently the gods of this game had other plans for him...and they are not what he expected. As he explores this new world, he'll discover whether or not it can offer what he's been waiting for all his life. But adventure waits for no one, especially when it comes looking for you.
This book contains a fantasy harem, strong language, and adult situations.

Had a lot of potential
Usually when it comes to book like this I am all over it except the pacing is absolutely terrible. Most of the book takes place on the first day and then the rest of the book is half of the second day. During the time he gets (spoiler) seven companions, about three super magic items, a trade deal that will give him over 1 million gold in a year, and about 20 mile radius of land that was given to him by the king. Not only is that a tease is a harem heavily but the character refuses to do anything with them. And they are all practically demanding to be with him and his excuse is that he doesn’t know which one to pick what it’s of years all of them are willing. The character also have a nervous break down because he’s getting too much stuff and all he wants to do was make a cabin. If they would’ve gave The MC more of a spine I would’ve given them the story if five out of five. But the character is week for a character.

b@@bs everywhere
This story had a good start until books became the main thing on the mc's mind. not real relatable for the female audience. Also, he talked so much about taking things slow and enjoying life, then he buys all of his skills at high level instead of enjoying the leveling? I'm stopping where he bought a high level cooking skill then ordered two weeks of pre-made food lol. usually I'd just go with it, but the whole premise seems to be about enjoying the skill life, but he buys everything . it just fell flat for me.

This story is a walking contradiction. The main character is a brain dead milk sap whit knight. He has the power to conceptualize inventions and not only does he own the patent but they just exist now…. Nothing in this story makes any sense. It’s a roller coaster of main character is a brain dead moron to him reinventing the fucking wheel.

A must listen. what happens next
What seams like a predictable story line expands in a linear progression. I wish some of this would happen for me but as described in the book. This world is not like that. I love survival and would love a cabin in the woods. The character goes from basic to stupidly overpowered in breakneck speed and then goes up another level. Cliff hanger. What happens next.

Could have been great but...
I made it to book 5 before giving up on this so I think I've given it a fair try.
This MC is f**king clueless.
He over reacts and jumps to the wrong conclusions at every turn, if he didn't have companions holding his hand then Jason would be struggling to breathe and the thing is, this is on purpose because his companions constantly let him know how stupid he is... I guess I was hoping he would get a grip by book 5! Nope.
This book series has some really good ideas and characters but the MC ruins it every time he opens his mouth.

I had to stop listening
I do not usually write reviews but I also don't usually stop a book. Good job this was in the Plus Catalogue otherwise it would have been a waste of money.
As some of the other review say, there is no challenge in the story, the main character gets wildly disproportionate rewards for doing nothing and is constantly told he is 'not like other players'. I guess he is not like other players..... he is not playing the game. I got 6 hours into the book and he was on his second or third day in the game world. So far he has just asks a couple of questions and has 'appreciated' all the well endowed women around him which is a horribly creepy listen.
Overall there is a strong 'and everybody clapped' and 'not like others' vibes.

don't waste your time
A very short tale in which the protagonist is given money and levels, achieving nothing on his own. The main focus is his building of a harem. Too many large breasted female characters besotted by their big-man-saviour. Pathetic!
