My First Ever Audible Review

what I experienced while listening to this incredible book was nothing short of a spiritual experience (especially chapters 13 & 14) HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I've been on this path of enlightenment for approximately 10 years and have always felt like I wasn't doing it "right". No author on this subject has ever explained that judging yourself is a form of self abandonment, how to stop judging yourself (for example: insisting you have to "do it right, perfect, etc" to be loved & approved of by others) and gives examples of what it sounds like when you're not loving yourself and how to heal your wounded self. I do think this book found me at this divine time & I am so grateful for Dr. Paul 🙏 get this one!!

I really loved this book!

The beginning of her book shares ,need to know, information regarding diet and how far away we have gotten from health eating. The remainder of her book gives deep insights into the nature of existence and what makes us all feel so lonely, hurt, anxious and depressed.

Excellent new diet thinking - food for thought

I liked the information I received in this approach to a healthy diet. It gave me that last little bit of info I needed to break free and understand why I used food to nurture my spirit. Dr. Margaret Paul came across as knowledgeable and confident in her healing practice. I would recommend this book.

Self-contradictory with complete lack of humility

The author states that one should listen to your intuition to determine what is best for one to eat. The author states that "science" has flip-flopped deciding that one thing is "bad for you" only to decide it is "good for you" a decade or so later. She states that because science doesn't really know what it's doing you should "listen to your gut" (meaning intuition). She then confidently states that science has "proved" that certain things are bad for you - margarine, wheat, sugar, etc. She doesn't seem to even understand that this is self-contradictory!

For a book that tells you to listen to "the Divine" and not one's "bruised ego," the author has quite the massive ego. Aside from the inability to understand how her argument is self-contradictory, this reads like the rantings of a self-assured anti-vaxxer who believes in science only when it agrees with her. You'll even hear the words "fake news" from this vaguely Trumpian grandma. The author's massive ego even leads her to record the book herself in a room with a bad echo as she stumbles over her own words.

Honestly, there is probably a lot of wisdom in this book. I like much of the argument and think there are some nuggets of brilliance. However, the author's obviously massive ego and self-contradictory advice are just too much to stomach.

Deserves a Second or Third Hearing

Don't listen to this at bed time. There is more information than necessary to get the the meat of the matter, but probably appropriate to justify all the substance. The bottom line is for you to decide, how close do you want to be to The Divine and how often. Sad to say, people, even myself, will still pick their poison. The importance is the concepts are available to you--Thanks to the doc who made this a labor of love--a purpose from Above. Thank you. Next time, I'll take notes.

I really wanted to like this

I heard the author on a podcast, and she sounded amazing. I was delighted to see her book included in the membership. Unfortunately she reads in such a boring, and stilted way that I had to skip over the early chapters and go straight to where I thought I could learn the most. I am stopping part way through chapter 6. I just can't take the way this is read, and I'm really disappointed.

Interesting

Interesting, worth a read, some great ideas. My only quibble is that she claims to not be promoting a particular diet while strongly promoting the diet she subscribes to and misrepresenting other diets.

Must read

Definitely an eye opener for me, I could really resonate with this book, I selected this title to help raise my vibrations through food but I never expected to get so much more out of it. A must read for each & everyone
