Publisher's Summary

I was at the top of my game. I knew who I was and what direction my life was headed. I owned the most prestigious night clubs down the east coast yet I kept my identity a secret. I don’t like being in the lime light and my hometown was none of anyone’s business.

However, making people happy was. I did that with my clubs. Until the day tragedy struck my family. I had a choice to make and it wasn’t an easy one. At the end of the day, family always comes first. I went home to take care of my mom and the ranch. I didn’t plan on that little smart mouth Hope showing up with a laptop in hand.

Just out of a cheating relationship, the girl was hell bent on hating all men. Me included. Hating me wasn’t the only thing she came back home for. She needed a quiet place to write her next article. Her interest? The man that suddenly closed down all the upscale clubs on the east coast. I wanted to be anonymous for a reason.

I didn’t want the cameras and all the tabloids in mine or my family’s business. So, I don’t give her anything. Well, nothing she wants anyhow. I give her the cowboy, the man that I’ve once again become with the dirty mouth. Until she learns the truth and wants to run with it. I should have known that a second chance at love wouldn’t happen for me. All fairy tales have to end, right?

Gentry and Hope

A fun, witty, and charming journey to go on with Gentry and Hope. I absolutely enjoyed this book.
Stephen Dexter and Muffy Newtown are always fantastic. I loved listening to them.

dumbest business owner ever!

WTF? Who builds up a thriving business enterprise and then chooses to close the doors rather than selling the company for $$$$? What an irresponsible manager of funds and employees! Stupid boy.

Also, this is the second volume in the Cocky Hero lineup that has Alexa stopping at every single chapter. 😡

Short and sweet...2nd chance romance

Short 2nd chance story...girl left small town AZ after hs to follow her dreams of being a journalist. Cowboy stayed home for a while, until his father helped him fund a series of happening nightclubs up and down the East coast. Now, years later, his dad has died and cowboy has sold the clubs to return to the family ranch. Girl has returned as well, for some solitude while she tries to track down the elusive owner of the defunct clubs. Meanwhile, they rekindle their relationship...but she’s returning to Cali so it’s temporary.
Cute story of trust and finding what’s most important.

Really loved this one.

I laughed out loud, some of the jokes are corny but some were good. The ex boyfriend was a tool. But loved Gentry and Hope's banter. His mom was funny too. Got to love those country boys.. Loved it! Great listen.

Enchant

I laughed and laughed w/ some tears thrown in. The drama wasn’t overwhelming and during this COVID period it was yet refreshing. Great read.

Hated it

Storyline sucked. The best parts were the dirty jokes, the narration and the cameo from the baby mama goat.
The heroine- a brat and diva, couldn’t connect with her at all. Her need to shift careers was just stupid. She wanted to stop being an author so she could write articles for a paper/website. That seems backwards. It’s like a surgeon saying I like the money but I really want to work with patients more and be a candy striper.
Timeline- was hard to follow and only know about how long anything occurred bc of side comments. Nothing in the actions of the plot led u to believe how much time passed
Character connection- weak. This book moved too fast and I couldn’t connect any real emotion from any character and his or her relationship with another

Please ban this book from the hero club. It was horrific

Just soso

It started out well but then just kind of went no where. Towards the end they threw in a new plot line that really had no reason to be there.

Short and sweet

This story was short and sweet. I loved Hero Club stories. Please write more story like this one. I’m familiar with the readers, however, Muffy/Erin was not my favorite reader. That said, I like her on this one. Highly recommend!
