Publisher's Summary

Dr. Easton is part man, part myth. He’s a formidable surgeon. Highly respected in his field. He also happens to be an ex-collegiate quarterback with a classically handsome face.

Are you catching on yet?

He’s horrible. Beautiful. A walking Ralph Lauren ad. He’s also so off-limits he should come with a warning label: This way lies heartache. Not only is he an attending at the hospital where I’m training, he’s also my brother’s best friend. If you’ve lost count, that’s two reasons why I plan on putting this ridiculous crush behind me. Besides, it’s definitely not mutual. Dr. Easton has never once paid me special attention. No tempting smirks. Not even one subtle innuendo. To him, I’m just another resident - all but invisible.

Connor

For the last five years, I’ve mentored Natalie in the OR, stayed in line, and kept my hands to myself, but it’s been agonizing.

Natalie is trouble in scrubs. A walking temptation I’ve been forced to ignore. For so long, I’ve wanted her in silence. By the time fate finally throws me a bone, my patience has run out.

Natalie’s brother is leaving town, and he wants me to watch over her while he’s gone. He has no idea how I feel about her. Neither does she. But she will.

Haven’t you heard good things come to those who wait, Natalie? Well...I’ve done my waiting.

Meh

I really love R.S. Grey’s books but this one wasn’t all that great. The main character was annoying. Especially in the epilogue... I couldn’t even finish it, I was irritated at her for being ridiculous. CJ Bloom’s narration made her seem immature and naive. Hard to believe she’s suppose to be this top of her class doctor.
Overall, not her best book.

I Wanted to Like it

I really wanted to like this book. I really did but I could not get past the grown woman's irrational behavior. She's supposed to be some great surgeon which implies she went to medical school. Her lack of understanding of basic biology was irritating. The way she was fairly cruel to Connor. Her inability to be anything but selfish. All made for a very annoying heroine.

The narration was really good though. I forgot how much I liked Lee Samuels and CJ Bloom is always great.

Love R.S. Grey but...

This story was not as lovable as all of the other R.S. Grey books. If you are looking for something to listen to, any of the other books written by this author are better.

Doctor Dearest

Brother’s best friend. I liked the second half of the book more than the first but I also liked the career path both these characters are in.
It went back and forth a lot and that got a little old but it was still an enjoyable listen.
I really liked the ending and the narration was great for this book.

Cough, Cough... is there a DR in the house?

My first RS Gret audiobook was a delight! Even if I did consider going to the DR a few times... but alas, I'm married. I enjoyed this so much! Sexy and funny... just what the DR ordered!

Amazing as Always

As always, R.S. Grey wrote a book that let a smile on my face the entire time. With each new book she releases I decide that it’s my new favorite, and Doctor Dearest was no different. The narrators did a wonderful job bringing each of the characters to life. This is a wonderful book and anyone who loves romance and comedy, will definitely enjoy this book!

Strong doesn't have to mean stubborn!

I liked the story itself but the h was so annoyingly stubborn about everything that she came across as idiotic. She is a surgeon, not a gilted 16 year old. I really like RS Grey but she doesn't give her characters any maturity in some of her books. The HotShot Doc is worlds better!

What the hell?!

Conor and what's her name had no chemistry what so ever. on the basis of what exactly they communicate?
in addition, all their actions were part of passive aggressive/imature dynamics.
it just didn't work
by the way, Conor is a dushbag.

hate this book, could not even listen till the middle. gonna return.
