Publisher's Summary

I've been dreading this for a year.

Okay, that's a lie. I've been dreading this reunion since we graduated high school 10 years ago.

So why am I here, standing outside the door like the eternal wallflower I am?

I'd say it's because my younger sister browbeat me into it, but the truth is, I'm tired of being a nobody. Of never taking a risk with myself and my life.

And...well...maybe I'm also hoping to see him.

The tall, insanely gorgeous man walking my way now. Oliver Fritz is regarded as one of Boston's sexiest doctors. I know him as the former god of our school. The one every girl wanted, and every guy wanted to be.

The one as unhappy to be here as I am.

That's when he makes the proposal I've always dreamed of. Only, this one is fake. On bended knee, he places a ring on my finger and proposes we brave this reunion together, with me as his fake fiancée. But when our wild and steamy night ends in scandal, we're forced to make a deal.

He gives me what I need, and in return I stay his fake fiancée, so he doesn't lose face with the media who love him or his sick mother. Should be easy, right? Just a few months pretending to be engaged to one of Boston's most notorious billionaire bachelors. What could go wrong?

Turns out everything.

Doctor Scandalous is a super steamy, laugh out loud, full on romance that will hit you straight in the feels! It is a stand-alone in a brand new series about Boston's hottest billionaire doctors and the women they fall head over heels for!

Very Entertaining

The Fake Engagement storyline is familiar to a point, but the reasons for it are heartwarming and believable. The characters are believable and the little sister is adorable for a teen.

The male narrator was better, but both did a great job.

The only minor issues I have is that they seem to refer to another story prior to this one with the sister of the Dr. and her husband. Apparently she was kidnapped and rescued by the man that would become her husband. No idea where that story came from. Also, the use of British idioms, like “wanker”, by Boston characters is a little jarring.

Swoon and Spice!

To start I listened to this on audible and both narrators did a great job. It was certainly easy to listen to. I read the reviews and they are fabulous for this book, and I’ve seen so many pushes for this on Facebook, instagram, book clubs- I didn’t read it for a long time just because I add so many to my TBR and I didn’t … but I finally did and was totally pumped from all the suggestions/reviews. And honestly - it’s a great fake relationship trope - I really like that trope - I mean - who doesn’t fall in love with someone who treats you like a princess in front of other people?!? This book really didn’t disappoint in that - and there was so little drama - I loved that! I hate drama just to have drama … now don’t get me wrong - there are obstacles and there is a reason they are fake dating, but that’s fun drama - there isn’t a ton of angsty drama. Here is why I’m struggling with what would otherwise be a 5 star book - I cannot count how many times both of the main characters said - this has to come to an end, I’m scared of the end, I love the other but this has to end, what is going to happen when this ends, etc - I GET IT! It’s the entire point of the book … I didn’t need to hear the words 5 times in every chapter - I started rolling my eyes every time I heard it. I may be being petty but it drove me bonkers - for that I’d give it a 3.5-4 ⭐️ I would sort of like to read another, since that was my only issue, but I don’t want to waste my time if that is how all the books are 🤷‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

Cute Story

The story was cute, the only thing I didn't like was they were over thinking the situation... it was a simple solution and was stretched out and Amelia reasons were dumb to me lol

So loooong

SLOW burn, LONG story. I lost interest and was dismayed to find out there were 3-1/2 hours left! Not sure if I’ll finish, but if I do it’ll be another day!

Cute Story

I enjoyed the book but a few times I was rolling my eyes. Amelia was hot/cold. Oliver was awesome! I even like the little sister’s logic.
The male narrator as Amelia was irritating.

Sweet Story!!

This book was sassy, determined, and fun. The story had just enough fun, sexy, and comedy to keep me entertained. I will definitely try additional reads from this author.

Soooo good!!!

Oh man…. What a great book!! I think Oliver is my new book boyfriend!! 😍 Both him and Amelia faced heartbreak in the worst ways. They both have avoided relationships. Who knew going to a high school reunion could be the start of something amazing!!! Oliver comes to the rescue when Amelia comes to the reunion where all the mean girls are still mean.
Amelia’s had a hard life. Losing her parents when her sister was only 6. She ends up changing her whole entire life to take care of her sister. Life is hard and money is tight. It’s a $100 entrance fee to get into the reunion.
Oliver is dreading going into the reunion. His ex is in there. The girl he was with forever and who he was about to propose to when she told him she’d been hooking up with his good friend.
Oliver sees the chance to help them both and comes up with a plan for them to be a pretend couple….. However, they really do have an amazing connection. She goes home with him that night because she just can’t say no. But leaves very early the next morning. Turns out that the news of them is all over the tabloids about their engagement. Olivers mom had breast cancer and the whole family thinks they should just go along with the sham of him being engaged. Anything to keep the mom in good spirits!!
This is the story of two people learning to trust and love again. Not easy with the hurt they’ve been through. From something that started off as pretend turns into something with so much heart and feelings!!
The narrators were fantastic. Avery Reid I’ve heard before but Blake Lockhart was new to me. I so enjoyed him and will look for more of his work!!
Can’t wait for the other brothers stories!!!

Loved it

The audio gave the story more feeling. I loved reading the digital book but to have it on audio was even better. Some of the emotional scenes gave it a more relatable effect. Although she was stubborn when it came to Oliver and his money, I understood her from personal experience. IT was a great audio and story.
