Story
When the Doctor and Donna visit London's Technology Museum for a glimpse into the future, things don't go to plan. The most brilliant IT brain in the country can't use her computer. More worrying, the exhibits are attacking the visitors, while outside, people seem to be losing control of the technology that runs their lives. Is it all down to simple human stupidity, or is something more sinister going on?

Time: the present. Place: Smalltown, USA. A town like any other. A sleepy world of white picket fences, front porch gliders and freshly mown lawns, a Pontiac or Chevrolet in every driveway. But the streets are empty, with not a sound to be heard, and no one to hear it if there was. It's into this strange world of shifting sands that the TARDIS propels the Doctor and Nardole, who think they're in 1950s suburbia until an apparent nuclear attack takes them into far darker territory, with a series of terrifying consequences.

Publisher's Summary
Adjoa Andoh reads a dynamic new story featuring the Ninth Doctor and Rose, as played on TV by Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper.
When the Doctor diverts an asteroid from its collision course with Earth, the TARDIS is invaded by an ancient menace: a Solonite. Racing to save her friend's life, Rose lands the TARDIS in Northumberland, Earth, in 1986, and they find shelter in an isolated farmhouse.
Teaming up with Peggy, a grieving artist, the travellers realise the terrible truth: the Solonite has accompanied them to Earth and is now at large. As the terrifying entity seeks to possess them, its fearful purpose becomes clear - and it involves the TARDIS....
Adjoa Andoh, who played Francine Jones in the BBC TV series, reads Niel Bushnell's electrifying original story, with accompanying sound design.

“Lots of planets have a North East”
Short and sweet, Bushnell’s ASHES OF ETERNITY feels like a classic 2-parter told in a new Who adventure style setin the early days of Rose & Eccleson’s partnership. Starts with a good plot hook in space, features a new inventive alien opponent I really enjoyed this adventure I bought on Audible.
On a personal note, great to see the good Doctor in Northumberland for the first time since… The Time Meddler(?)
