Story
When I arrive unannounced at my husband's studio in need of a shoulder to cry on after hearing that my best student, Alex, has died, I see a pair of wineglasses drying by the sink, and my deepest fear is confirmed: my husband is having an affair. Most women would fall to their knees in tears and throw him out of the house - but I just can't bring myself to do it. Instead, I go home and cook a healthy dinner for our children, walk the dog, and unload the dishwasher without complaint. I need this marriage to work to protect a terrible secret of my own....

Captivating mystery
This is a captivating, well narrated story that kept me interested to the very end. Leocadia is a traumatized teenager who is trying to get her life back together after stumbling onto her mothers murder. Almost a year later she still has retrograde amnesia but her memory is coming back in bits and pieces and she is starting to win her battle to stay off the drugs she used to escape her nightmares. Leo's friend, Henry has his own demons, and when they are witness to two murders while parting in a graveyard, things start to heat up. Combine this with creepy and ghostly happenings in an abandoned mansion the teens explore, and Leo's world is once again shaken to its core. The characters in this book were complex, interesting and well portrayed by the narrator; Leo is a flawed but appealing character, you can not help but sympathize with and care about her. Her two love interests are totally contrasting characters, one a clean, caring hunk and the other a flawed, angry, loner. Although I am not keen on love triangles, this one works very well in this book, adding tension, intrigue and interest to the plot. This was a fast paced enjoyable mystery with suspense, romance and a hint of ghosts. I received this audiobook at no cost in exchange for an honest review.

Nicely Twisted up Mystery with a Sweet Romance
Narration, Caitlin Kelly - Really Good. She has a terrific narration voice and handled a pretty large number of unique characters in this book.
This was a really terrific book.
You've no doubt read the blurb, so I won't rehash that. I will start by saying this is NOT a love triangle - yes, there are three characters that are involved, but Leocadia (Leo) wants Beckett, Beckett wants Leo but Henry wants Leo too, so he does all he can to try to sabotage Beckett and Leo. But - as I said...not a traditional triangle. Leo never wanted Henry and I don't feel like she ever led him to believe otherwise. She was team Beckett from the beginning.
Leo is a chocolate mess but we start the book when she is finally starting to come out of her funk. She's kinda dysfunctional at times, makes some really bad choices and she's the least cheerful cheerleader you'll ever meet.
She befriends Henry - so... Henry! I can't decide what Henry is. At times I thought he was a psycho and other times I felt a little sorry for him and maybe thought there was a sweet boy somewhere inside there. At the end of the book, I'm still trying to figure out if he was bad to the core or if he really was trying to be good.
Beckett is the school jock, but he seems to be sweet and in the end, one of my favorite characters in the book.
There's quite an elaborate mystery to this book as Leo tries to find her mother's killer. I kinda thought I had it figured out one minute and thought it was someone else the next. Overall I thought it was a well written, nicely twisted up mystery with a sweet romance.
Just really enjoyed this!

Lovin' It!
If you could sum up Don't Forget to Breathe in three words, what would they be?
Excellent. Edgy. Stimulating.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Don't Forget to Breathe?
One of the most memorable moments of the book is when Leo confronts Regina about Leo's father's alibi.
What about Caitlin Kelly’s performance did you like?
Cailtin's voice fits perfectly for Don't Forget to Breath. She has a distinct voice for each character and makes the book come alive with excitement.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Murder, and it's aftermath.
Any additional comments?
I love this book; after the tragic murder of her mother, Leo attempts to figure out what happened to her mother. It would be difficult for anyone to handle the murder of anyone in their family, but for a child or teen to deal with it... it would be much harder to deal with. Cathrina, the author, provides a good look at how one family struggles to deal with it.

Five stars, need I say more?
Don't Forget To Breathe, my first read from author Cathrina Constantine. I was given an Audible copy of this book and I'm voluntarily reading & reviewing it because every author's book needs reviews. An enjoyable book that sweeps you up & carries you away. I have to admit there were times I sped up the playback I wanted to get through it so fast. Caitlin Kelly's talented narration ads to the enjoyment. The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I look forward to reading more from this author! Edge of my seat!
An Amazing story that held me captive until the very end! This is a definite edge of your seat listen. The characters..well I loved to hate them. Ha ha Not all! Some were perfect either in their kindness or their nastiness. But the main character Leo…many times I wanted her to get her head out and move on! Granted this takes place in the high school era so ..you know hormones and mood fluctuations are running rampant. But she frustrated me with her interest in guys who are busy with other ladies.
What I loved about this most is the “who did it” that follows most of the story. I never figured it out and to me those are the BEST stories! Weaved perfectly!
I did listen to this on audio. Caitlin Kelly did a wonderful job narrating. She had a multitude of voices to do and she rocked it!

Very Enjoyable!
The cover of the book got my attention and after a quick glance at the storyline and the length of the audiobook, I thought I'd give it a try. I failed to consider it was a YA, which I am normally not a fan of, so that being said I started off being wary as soon as I realized, but the author was great at capturing my interest in the opening story. I felt each character was fully developed so no matter who Leocadia was spending time with, I was curious and enjoyed the anticipation of knowing something was going to happen to bring a thrill. The author did not fail to deliver. The narrator had a range of characters to do and she did great to deliver with a cadence that allowed me to listen, follow, and become absorbed in the story. I enjoyed Leo's character and even her name was cool. The storyline was really interesting with the mystery of her mother, and the haunting of the mansion, and then the drama of the teens telling lies and stretching the truth out of competition or jealousy...that part I normally give a bored sigh to, but it was done well here and I found myself anxious to know the end result! The two male characters were each strongly developed and kept me guessing easily. A very nice mystery and thriller. I will look at other books by this author :-)

The start of this book opens up in a graveyard with a male friend who I thought was going to rape Leo from the start. It was quite unsettling and the fact she remained friends with him and put me at a bit of unease. This introduction ruined the book a little for me but nevertheless I continued listening. And then there was casual references to alcohol and drugs throughout which put a further dampener on the book - what did they contribute to the story?
Despite these flaws, the characters in the book were well developed and believable. The narration was 10/10, and the story line itself was interesting, with basically everyone as a suspect, i just had to know who the killer was.
