At the retreat, she's not allowed to use her real name or reveal any personal information. an entertaining village
Would you listen to Don't Want to Miss a Thing again? Why?
yes. I've already listened to it twice. I just love the characters and the different plots and subplots.
What did you like best about this story?
The story concentrated on the wide range of goodness one finds in humanity and the silly predicaments we find ourselves in.
What about Alison Larkin’s performance did you like?
For the most part, she did good vocalizations which set the characters apart as distinct.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I loved the part where Henry saved the day.
Any additional comments?
Alison Larkin's baby noises were annoying, but on the second listen I suppose I was ready for them.

Great Listen !
Well written. The story made me feel a lot of emotions. I cried, laughed and probably held a smile throughout the whole book. I enjoyed the way the narrator built all the characters in the book. However I did struggle with her baby character. The voice and sounds were not realistic.
This was my first Jill Manson book, and have become a fan.

Don't want to miss a thing
What did you like best about this story?
I liked how it was based in a small village and you followed a few different stories.
Any additional comments?
This is a lovely story. Once I started, I couldn't stop listening. There were a few twists and turns that I didn't see coming in the story. All in all, another fab Jill Mansell book

Enjoyable but why has it been Americanised?
I enjoyed both the performance and the story but what really spoiled this for me was the way in which the book has been Americanised. It's written by an English author and set in a very English town and read by an English narrator so why on earth do the characters talk about 'diapers', 'vacation' and 'highways'. Did this really need to be changed? It really spoiled my enjoyment of the story.

The story was sweet and somewhat predictable but enjoyable. It contains language that I was not expecting. Quite disappointed in that as it was totally unnecessary.
