Story
An achingly funny story from the author of the best-selling You Had Me at Hello. When Edie is caught in a compromising position at her colleagues' wedding, all the blame falls on her - turns out that personal popularity in the office is not that different from your school days. Shamed online and ostracised by everyone she knows, Edie's forced to take an extended sabbatical - ghostwriting an autobiography for hot new acting talent, Elliot Owen. Easy, right? Wrong.

Publisher's Summary
You always remember your first love. Don’t you?
It began with four words.
‘I love your laugh. x’
But that was twelve years ago. It really began the day Georgina was fired from The Worst Restaurant in Sheffield (© Tripadvisor) and found The Worst Boyfriend in the World (© Georgina’s best friends) in bed with someone else.
So when her new boss, Lucas McCarthy, turns out to be the boy who wrote those words to her all that time ago, it feels like the start of something.
The only problem? He doesn’t seem to remember Georgina – at all....
This irresistible new audiobook from Mhairi McFarlane is the perfect story to escape with. Compulsively readable, absolutely hilarious and deliciously romantic, you will not be able to stop.

Fantastic (Especially for Rom Com Fans)
Excellent performance and SUPERBLY written, this more than satisfied my Bridget-Jones-Four-Weddings-Golden-Era-Rom-Com itch. It has a backbone of real emotion, is very enjoyably witty, and has a genuinely likeable heroine. I can't wait to read/listen to more from this author.

Hilarious, Clever & Beautifully Written
I only ever have one predicament when it comes to Mhairi McFarlane's books; I inhale them!!
A rom-com story that deals with real issues, as well as second chance romance.
In Mhairi I have found an author who genuinely makes me laugh. No forced giggles, but ill-timed snorting on public transport, but she also has the ability to make me ugly cry!
The only thing I would have liked to have seen in this book was the point of view of Lucas.
Don't You Forget About Me, had me from the first page and has made an entry onto my favourite books of the year list. I can’t wait to read more from Mhairi McFarlane!

An enjoyable listen
Sometimes I can be put off of an audiobook by the reader, but Madeline Gould was amazing! Thoroughly enjoyed her accents and storytelling. A really enjoyable story - I found myself walking to uni instead of driving so that I could have more time with my headphones!

It may take years, but things do come full circle
Loved this book. The intro leaves you hanging and you don't find out what sparked all the subsequent events until the end, in one very drama and emotional scene. It's got a lovely ending, but the story and journey there are just as good, if not better.
I think I'd listen again to this one.

A bit disappointed
This book had promise, the storyline had promise too, but about halfway through I wanted the reader to hurry up and tell the story. Instead chapters that had little volume were dragged out to within an inch of their lives. Stuck with it hoping for a great ending but wish now that I'd not bothered.

A great 'feel good' book..
I really enjoyed this one, it was funny and warm without being too cheesy. Mhairi McFarlane has created characters that made me feel I knew them, and Madeline Gould's excellent narration just brought them all to life. A great feel good book.

Beautiful writing
This story had a perfect dose of charm in the way it’s written. Her descriptions were beautiful and made you feel part of the characters mind and story. The narrator was great too. I will be looking for more by this author.

A great read (well, audio read).
Mhairi McFarlane's "Don't You Forget About Me" was so good! I loved Georgina- a really well-rounded person with great character development. I really appreciated that Mhairi fleshed out a lot of the minor characters as well. Madeline Gould's narration was fabulous.
