Publisher's Summary

Have you ever felt like there was something inside of you pushing your actions? A dormant beast, so to speak. I know it sounds crazy.

But, that’s the best way I could describe how I’ve felt for a long time. I thought it was normal, some animal part of the human brain that lingered from evolution. But, this is the story of how I learned I wasn’t exactly human, and there was a world underneath our own where all the things that go bump in the night live. And, that my beast was very real indeed.

Of course, my first steps into this new unknown world are full of problems. I didn’t know the rules, landing me on the wrong side of a werewolf pack and in a duel to the death with a smug elf.

But, at least, I have a few new friends in the form of a dark elf vampiress and a kitsune assassin as I try to figure out just what I am, and more importantly, learn to control it.

Worst Dragon Ever

I'm all for a story where the mc grows, but one that stays in denial just pisses me off.

Another Dragon book but this one is Great

A very solid book from this author and I greatly look forward to the next one. Instead of having Game mechanics built into it the author goes with a more natural build from poor little human to a fantastic being a great strength.

Like I said a very solid novel and I look forward to the next one in the series

Good but could of been better

Like most harems the mc is what makes this one tough to finish, real lame dragon tbh.

great start

I really liked the unique story. It is definitely a slow progression to the mc s full potential. the narration was awesome. all the characters were great. I saw no flaws in any part

Generic but still a good series

This follows the common trope of someone is secretly a part of a special society of the supernatural sort and turns out to be one of the more powerful entities of society although this is still very well done the narration is also very good and it clearly shows how well they all put in their work so great job even if the topic is really common in a good portion of books nowadays

Paranormal Urban Fantasy at its finest!

I loved this audiobook from start to finish. Sentar weaved an interesting story that kept my headphones on. The narration is extremely well done. Jessica Threet is the best in the business in my humble opinion. Hope to check out book 2 soon!

a great world, with fantastic narration

jack and jessica really bring this to life. our main character really finds himself as a fish out of water as a parallel society of paranormals is revealed to him, along with his own mysterious heritage.

the plot is paced well with great intruige and world building, while also leaving a few threads for the next book. the romance feels well done, with a slow build and some complications, but also the real wrestling of the morality of things.

that morality question isnt tossed aside elsewhere and is explored well as we hear how brutal and traditional the paranormal world is.

cant wait to listen to more in this series!

Pleasantly surprised, expected worse

I don't usually consume these kinds of books, and have had the experience to read some pretty bad ones. But this one was pleasantly surprisingly good. Keep up the good work.

S teir series

Great characters, great world building, great plot. I have issues with the ropey softmagic powers that seem to only work when the plot allows but I'm willing to over look that for the rest of it.

An enjoyable book

I enjoyed this book. The story was one that was simple to follow and easy to stay with. It was lite and comical, not too many characters to follow.

The best part for me was the narrators. They brought the story to life. They made the characters giving each a life.

I truly believe that this book deserves the rating of 5*****!

Lions and Tigers and Dragons, Oh my!

I've only recently started listening to books by this author and have to say that his choice of narrators helped bring this story to life. The continuity and concepts have enough of a twist to maintain a fresh perspective upon themes that have been written about many times before.
keep up the great work and I look forward to more from this author.
