Story
Lord of the Rings + Breaking Bad + The Sopranos = Skulduggery. It’s a world ruled by elves, and they have decided that alcohol and magic is illegal for all the other races. But I know how to make whiskey. In fact, that’s the easy part. Selling it under their noses and not getting caught and hung will be the hard part. I’ll need to build a crew, I’ll need to slit some throats, and I’ll need to be five steps ahead of our overlords. Wanna join me in building a criminal empire?

Craft your own world. Trade with neighboring empires. Become a god. Garrett thought Terra Forma was just a game, but in reality, it was a test created by a devastatingly beautiful ancient goddess to find the most creative man in the universe. Now, in order to help her defeat an ancient primordial deity, Garrett will have to take a dirt rock and transform it into the heart of the most powerful empire the universe has ever seen. And to do that, he'll have to unlock portals to other worlds, harvest their resources, and bring back settlers to his world.

Story
Cole is the most powerful witch to ever be born. Except, he’s a man, and there has never been a male witch. Now, Cole is stuck in the Devil’s Academy full of evil women who want to destroy him. To survive, he’ll have to perform a dark ritual that enslaves the beautiful witches to him. They’ll hate serving a man, of course, but that just makes the conquest over their bodies, minds, and souls that much sweeter.

Story
Have you ever felt like there was something inside of you pushing your actions? A dormant beast, so to speak. I know it sounds crazy. But, that’s the best way I could describe how I’ve felt for a long time. I thought it was normal, some animal part of the human brain that lingered from evolution. But, this is the story of how I learned I wasn’t exactly human, and there was a world underneath our own where all the things that go bump in the night live. And, that my beast was very real indeed.

From book one: Being able to rip the soul out of a creature, store it in a precious gem, and use it to cast spells might make me the most powerful student at the Astra Argent Magical Academy. Only I can’t tell anybody about it. Because it's illegal, and they’ll kill me if they find out. But they need me whether they know it yet or not, so I’m going to capture a lot of souls and cast a lot of spells. This is gonna be a crazy semester. When fate brought me to the fantasy world of Aurilon, I thought I'd seen everything. If I only knew how wrong I was. Now, I’ve discovered monsters are real, they’re stunningly beautiful, and they need my help. In this world, men’s cores are cursed, preventing them from cultivating and achieving incredible power. Fortunately, I’m not from this world. With several amazing monster girls at my side, I'll forge a new destiny and ascend to heights I’d only ever dreamed of. But first, I must create a safe haven in the wilds to protect those who have been hunted for far too long.

Warner spent his days like almost anyone else. He got up, went to work, answered phone calls in a call center, went home, spent time with his daughter, and went to sleep. Only to repeat the pattern over and over and over. Life was as mundane as anyone could ever fear it to be. Today was the day that all that would change. On this day, his daughter Maya would be nearly fatally injured, plunging Warner into a world of paranormal creatures, monsters, and magic he’d never known existed. The only consolation is that he discovers he’s not quite human, either.

Death isn’t always the end. I was a soldier, fighting for the lives of the whole world, when I went and got myself obliterated by this magic alien monster. I figured that was it. Game over, done. But, then I woke up in a different body, in a strange world full of dust and ruins, with awesome martial arts skills I’d never had before. Not to mention a chi gift thing that seemed to work a lot like magic. And, there were these words seared into my brain like a motivational quote: You can save them. You can save all of them.

Now he’s been given a second chance to fight his way out of the corner he put himself into. In a world of brawls, dirty fights, and hard-hitting cultivators, he must win. After fighting a troll in a back alley, I found out the supernatural was real. Then I discovered I'm a dragon shifter. Soon after, I learned I'm also a mage. Turns out this combination is incredibly rare, and now everyone wants a piece of me. Being a dragon, there's only one thing I want to do: gather my hoard. Power. Magic. Women. Riches. It's all going to be mine.

Publisher's Summary
My name is Volrath, and I am an Aesir of Asgard.
I have no family name to speak of, but then I discovered I could tame, train, and breed the great dragons that are feared throughout Asgard. Now that I have this incredible power, it is my mission to scour the nine realms in search of more dragons to add to my menagerie.
I am joined by a beautiful Light Elf and a powerful half-Valkyrie sorceress, and these women want to bind themselves to me and bear my children.
This is the start of my legacy, and my journey to sit beside Odin and Freya as the greatest warrior mage Asgard has ever seen.

I dislike reviewers who b**ch with“INCORRECT”facts
This comment is in response to the Anonymous Reviewer, who complained that Logan Jacobs should do more research on Norse Mythology if he's going to use it in his stories. The Anonymous Reviewer said this because Logan Jacobs wrote that Odin's wife is Freya, which the Anonymous Reviewer said was incorrect, he then said that Freya wasn't Odin's wife, that Frigg is.
Well I wish there was a way for people to reply directly to a review, that way I'd know for sure most people who read the Anonymous Reviewer's post, would read my reply. Hopefully the 17 people who said the Anonymous Reviewer's post was helpful, didn't decide to not listen to this book based on his review cuz he is partially incorrect.
The Anonymous Reviewer is right that Frigg is Odin's wife in some versions of Norse Myths, but in a majority of the later Myths, that a time when the rivalry between the Aesir Pantheon and the Vanir Pantheon was getting to the point where full out war might erupt, in order to keep that from occuring Odin, as the leader of the Aesir, offered the leader of the Vanir, who was Freya, a way of keeping the two pantheons from going to war. That offer was to combine the two pantheons as one, but Freya's pride wouldn't let herself be subordinate to Odin. So instead Odin offered to marry Freya which would make them equals as well as merge the pantheons more completely. So Logan Jacobs was not wrong in writing Freya as Odin's wife & not Frigg cuz Odin Tossed the old hag aside for the younger & more beautiful goddess Freya. So maybe that Anonymous Reviewer should do better research before spouting incomplete facts.
P.S. Also in some versions of Norse Mythology, Frigg & Freya aren't two seperate goddesses, but two different incarnations of the same goddess.
P.P.S. At this time I haven't listened to this Audiobook yet. After I have listened to it I'll edit this sentence out & replace it with my review of the Audiobook instead.

The voice acting is great
Voice is fantastic if a bit bombastic, almost sounds like some of the adults from how to train your dragon. The love screens although hot are fairly repetitive and quickly become unimaginative.

Meh.
The writer didn’t really seem to know how to set the tone of the book. It read a bit predictable and juvenile like a child or young adult novel. But then it would drop F-bombs and go into graphic detail on sex and violence. I couldn’t figure out who the target audience was.
Not to mention the characterization of the protagonist was contrived and forced.
A handsome Asgardian warrior that is a better fighter then his entire team, and every woman has the hots for, but he has a tragic back story that makes him an ostracized target. Can you get any more cliche?
There also wasn’t nearly enough conflict. Almost every obstacle was easily overcame, and was barely an inconvenience. I never really felt like there were any stakes at play.
As well as an infant dragon that required no training and instantly understood every command given.
I don’t know, I just feel like it could have been better written with a more in depth and compelling story.
The Norse Mythology and Fantasy elements were admittedly fun though. And it did have its interesting moments.
If you’re considering buying this book, I’d wait until it’s on sale for $5 or less.

Expensive by Comparison
It makes no sense to me why this book is nearly twice the price of other Kindle books by LJ, especially when you consider how many folks are currently unemployed due to COVID19. As always, the book is well written, the cover art is top shelf, and the storyline and character development are better than many of the author's current titles. If you enjoy Nordic mythology, you will thoroughly enjoy the tale. If you are considering the audio version, you will not be disappointed. The reader combination of Boucher and Threat is the best there is. Price aside, this viking world is a favorite - no anti-hero and nothing satanic! Two themes I'm pretty tired of to be honest. Just a good guy trying to unravel his past and face his future, with the help of some incredible women and several extremely interesting - um - "pets".

Mc
I guess the story is okay I'm just wondering was it necessary for the MC to be portrait as viking? Could be not be a villager that happen to stumble on to eggs. It just feel the name viking was use to draw the reader in because the writer felt there wasn't enough pull there. heck even the narrator felt the need to butch up MC voice because the word viking was used. I'm sorry the main character is not a viking I never felt not believed he was viking just some water down white knight character that said please and thank you. This made be weird request but can we have a flawed character that we the reader can related to and not some Gary Stu have some fun don't do the rinse and repeat mechanics that in every harem series (looking at you Eric val!)

Teenage boy sex fantasy with very poor story and Chris Hemsworth sound alike narrator.
I’m a male and I found the plot very sexist. The characters are shallow, too nice and very naive. There is very little story. I feel like I just wasted 20 hours of my life and the cost of the book.
