Story
Maddy, dressed in white, stands at the back of the church. At the end of the aisle is Rob - the man she's about to marry. Next to Rob is Ben - best man and the best friend any two people ever had. And that's the problem. Because if it wasn't Rob waiting for her at the altar, there's a strong chance it would be Ben. Loyal and sensitive Ben has always kept his feelings to himself, but if he turned round and told Maddy she was making a mistake, would she listen? And would he be right?

Story
On the first day, no one really noticed. All those babies wrapped in blue blankets - not a pink one in sight. On the third day, people were scared - a statistic-defying abundance of blue. Not just entire hospitals, not only entire countries, but the entire world. Boys. Only boys. Until Eve. The only girl born in 50 years. The savior of mankind. Kept protected, towering above a ruined world under a glass dome of safety until she is ready to renew the human race. But when the time comes to find a suitor...Eve doesn't only want safety and protection. She wants freedom.

She's also keeping a big secret: facing a medically necessary procedure that will make it impossible for her to have children. Planning her best friend's wedding is bittersweet for Kristen - especially when she meets the best man, Josh Copeland. Publisher's Summary
Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable audiobook edition of Dream a Little Dream by Giovanna Fletcher, read by Jessie Cave.
Sarah is doing just fine. Sure, she's been single for the last five years and has to spend an uncomfortable amount of time around her ex-boyfriend and their mutual friends and the rest at her tediously mundane job, but it's fine. She's happy(ish).
But it's not surprising that when Sarah starts dreaming about a handsome stranger, she begins looking forward to falling asleep at night. Reality isn't nearly as exciting. That is until her dream stranger makes an unexpected real-life appearance, leaving Sarah questioning everything she thought she wanted.
Because people never really find the person of their dreams...do they?

Fun
What made the experience of listening to Dream a Little Dream the most enjoyable?
I enjoyed listening to this. It was fun and entertaining.
Have you listened to any of Jessie Cave’s other performances? How does this one compare?
She is great at the voices, but I could do without the "echoing" dream sequences.

I nearly gave up
This book just felt slow. The initial dream sequences were annoying and filled with unnecessary celebrity name drops or tv show mentions. I feel this makes the book one that won’t age well as in ten years time is anyone going to remember these things? Also the name drop off Tom of McFly made me laugh out loud, completely unnecessary.
I nearly gave up with the book but once “Real Bret” made an appearance and the dreams subsided the book felt more real. The story was a little thin and predictable and drawn out but passed a few hours.
Not the best book I have read in a while. Which is a shame as I read this book after reading The Eve of Man series and I had such high hopes as I loved those books.
