Publisher's Summary

He’s the last client she wants to protect….

Elite Guardians bodyguard/former sniper Christina Sherman has protected uncooperative clients before—but this time, well, her client is bossy, headstrong, and occasionally eats off the floor. Yes, he’s a highly trained military working dog, but certainly her skills could be put to better use, right?

Not according to former Special Forces Air Commando Grey Parker. He needs her help to protect his dog while he undergoes an experimental surgery that could restore his ability to walk. He just needs someone to keep his canine partner safe. Most of all, Grey wants back on his feet so he can track down find a mad scientist known as The Scavenger who unleashed a nerve agent that left Grey sidelined in a wheelchair.

When an attempt is made on Grey’s life, and dead bodies begin piling up—with evidence the same toxin is responsible—suddenly Christina is tasked with keeping both dog and soldier alive…and with them, the secrets that could stop a terrorist attack.

But this time, even Christina might be in over her head.

Dive into the exciting ignition to the Elite Guardians Collection.

Loved it!

I loved the fast-paced action and suspense paired with unique characters I loved and their sweet, believable romance. Love the themes woven in, too. And can’t forget Boss! 😍❤️ Totally impressed and will be continuing this series!

Also- great narrator!

A. Ice addition to the Elite Guardian legacy

Pretty much nonstop action in the tradition of the Elite Guardian agency. Love the story, just as much as I loved the original series. Well done.

A new narrator for me and I thought she did a fine job.

Pretty Good Crime Drama

I liked the spiritual lessons the author included. The reader did a great job with the voices. The storyline was good, the writing just seemed weak and unimaginative. I probably won’t read the second one.

Driving Force

A great story of courage of many kinds, trust, hope and forgiveness. The characters were well thought out and it all tied in very smoothly. Will probably listen to again

kept me wanting more

If you listen to the sample they provide, you may think like I did "that narrator is not good". I am so glad I gave it a chance. The narrator did a fantastic job, keeping characters separate and making the story sound not-read-to-you but actual conversations. The story is good and not predictable and love Boss!

Excellent!!!

This book is sooooo good!! While I love ALL of Mrs. Eason's books, I especially love the ones that include military and dogs. This one has both. She keeps the drama and suspense flowing at a fast pace. And Boss rules!!! Can't wait for the next one!!!

Great story! Just a few things….

Narrator, great job! I love the laughter in her voice at the right times. However, and this is personal opinion only, when events in the story speeded up, shots fired, etc…the amount of excitement and drama in the narration was a bit over the top. Otherwise fab dab!
Two problems in the story:
I sincerely liked all the characters. Only thing, Christina is not only lovely and gorgeous and self denied (6 miles a day, seriously? Lol) which we are used to the heroines of these books being the epitome of physical perfection- however adding the hour of devotional time that often we as mere mortals struggle with finding even a few minutes a lot of days, sort of elevated Christina into a completely unattainable zone. Perfect Christianity as well. Wow. Along with the comment that she found she needed to “arm herself more for spiritual battles daily than the physical ones,” which, although very true, just created a persona that was again miles above us ordinary Christians trying to live for God😇
Problem #2- I found the rationalization of Christina towards her job as a “Christian sniper” a bit much. Since a sniper does such direct killing- I found it interesting that the author chose that profession for her very Christian heroine. I think the authors should have left the rationalizing out of the book and left that job to the reader. (Which hopefully we are independent enough as readers to think on our own anyway😏) I appreciate Christian based novels as they are a clean, and an excellent read, but I really appreciate most the ones that leave “spiritual direction” out of it. So far Lynette Eason has been great with that.

Great story

I really liked this story. Fast paced, twists and turns! Most importantly, God is at the center. I can hardly wait for the next in the series to come out!!!
