Publisher's Summary

I see dead people.
No, not like that movie.

I’m a coroner, and yes it's the kiss of death on my dating life. When men find out what I do, I'm lucky to hear, “It was nice meeting you”.

Until I almost accidentally kill Blake Hale with my car.
Instead of being freaked out by me, he’s intrigued.
No matter how much I try to scare him off, he keeps coming back for more.
And for a follow-the-rules guy, he’s breaking them all for me.

We couldn’t be more different.
He’s all goodness and light, with a brain that’s even sexier than his six pack.
I’m danger in a pretty package, and no amount of knocking on wood is going to make the happily ever after he’s promising come true. But....

With each word we exchange, my resolve weakens.
With each heated look, he gets further into my soul.
With every kiss, he consumes me by accepting me just as I am.

I deal in death all day. He sells life...insurance. What could possibly go wrong when I start believing in Mr. Right?

Drop Dead Gorgeous is a full-length meet-cute romance...with a twist! It is a stand-alone.

Funny & Romantic!

When I started this book, I thought what a cute premise! Zoey and Blake are in an accident together and fall in love. But there is just so much more to this story! Lauren Landish has written a funny romcom with an element of romantic suspense! Leave it to Lauren to put my two favorite tropes together!! So the two meet when then crash into each other, but the insurance agent and coroner team up to investigate a death. How will it turn out? Will the nerdy doctor believe the hot insurance agent is interested in her? Drop Dead Gorgeous is a must listen. It will have you loving the characters, enjoying the story and trying to figure out the mystery. It's one you will love and want to hear again!

Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are one of my favorite teams of narrators. These two have the chemistry that comes through the microphone. That being said, this story stretches their talents with a cast of many, giving them the chance to truly show their vocal abilities. Doctors, policemen, family members, directors, they bring them all to life with different voices creating that movie in the mind feel. And their comedic timing is spot on. Loved this book and their performance!

Weak Heroine

I liked Blake and had major issues with Zoey. First off she was ridiculous allowing the bullying from peers and neighbors. The fact that she ignored them made it obvious that she was a weak h. She had such a respectable occupation and one that deemed respect but she let others dictate her reticence to stand up for herself. Secondly, the language was excessive in my opinion. I wouldn’t recommend the book but I did read (listen) the entire book but I think that had to be because of the narrators. Tor Thom was delicious and growling. He’s a new favor, so thanks for introducing him to me.

Ridiculous--even for Romance novels

Now don't get me wrong...I live for a cornyromance novel. They are an escape from a very busy and stressful life. I love them. But this is trash. *very small spoiler in this next part* You mean to tell ME that giving a kiss to a boy who had an allergic reaction to the peanut butter sandwich she had for lunch (among other things that are stupid too) made her destined to a life alone??? And the way the townspeople treat her??? It's beyond implausible. I was going to return and stop listening but I stuck with it for the lil "mystery" that was going on. The twist is dumb and totally foreseeable. Should have just gotten my credit back. The one VERY good thing about this book??? The man reads the man dialogue and the woman reads the woman's dialogue even when they are in the others chapters. I really enjoyed that. It sucks when they put on a deep or high voice to read dialogue from another gender. The performers were really on point and I enjoyed them. I wish more audio books would adopt this.

Drop Dead Gorgeous

Drop Dead Gorgeous is a cute romantic comedy. This book is told from dual points of view from Blake and Zoey. Blake works at a life insurance firm, and Zoey works as a coroner.

They meet with Zoey accidently hits Blake. She doesn't get the paperwork filled out so Blake turns up at her work and finds her job fascinating. Most people are scared to be around Zoey thinking she is going to bring death amongst them.

The case she is working on when she hit him, turns up on his desk with the widow trying to get the claim right away. As they work together to figure out what really happened to the dead guy they start having feelings for each other with all the time spent together. They are into the same types of things like trivia.

Can they figure out the cause of death before something tragic happens? I really enjoyed this book. It was a great listen.

If you can’t suppress reality for fun, skip it

This was fun as hell ! You have to suspend belief as there are a lot of just plain ridiculous premises but it was so much fun if you can! The narration was some of my favorite yet! If you just want fun and don’t mind cheesy, morbid humor this is the read for you.

A drop dead fantastic story in more ways then one

What can I say about Lauren Landish. She always blows your mind with her stories. This one is another hit with her Rom Com .
This one will have you laughing out load with some of the scenes.
Hero is Blake. Heroine is Zoey.

Zoey and Blake meet when Zoey hit Blake’s car. Blake is taken with Zoeys beauty. Only thing is Zoey gives him no mind. He tries everything. Blake doesn’t give up easily. The whole town things that Zoey is weird that they think that proves it. Another reason is because she’s County's Coroner. After a few tries when Zoe sees that Blake won’t give up that totally throws her off . The story is Well written and leaves you wanting more! Narration was very well done, the story line flows smoothly and I love that
Both Characters are so different from each other which makes you wonder what’s next . This story has it all , a Rom com , Suspense, what more do you need .

The performance of Charley Ongel and Tor Thom was fantastic. They brought the story to life . The tone of each character was spot on . They work great together

Fabulous!

Lauren has written a wonderful story that kept my earbuds hot! It was so much fun! I keep a smile on my face and even bit my fingernails a time or two.
Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are master narrators! I could listen to them all day and night!! They have a special spark between them and it comes out in their voices.

Quirky and sweet, with a little drama

I love the narrators. Tor Thom and Charley Ongel work so well together.

She thinks she's cursed, he's gonna prove her wrong. Together they are quirky,a little nerdy and sweet.

Delightful!

I found this book delightful!! This was thoroughly enjoyable mash-up of cute, emotional, zany, funny and steamy. The story was clever, skillfully written and sucked me right in. The characters were immensely lovable and I thought that their stark differences added a heavy dose of adorable to an already impossible to resist duo. This book is a perfect choice for brightening your day and catching a major case of the feels. The dual narration was beautifully done and the performance was spot on. I found the narrator's voices very pleasing and easy to listen to.

More than a romance

Good characters and story and a combined performance by Tor Thom & Charley Ongel that really keeps the audio going.

Lauren Landish does not do so so stories.
