it was really entertaining

I'm only giving it 4 stars 🌟 cause I HATE cliffhangers and thought it was a bit drawn out the story. I am going to wait for the next book release book 3 here please don't take too long to release it 🙏🏼 . Regardless I enjoyed it the main chick has a backbone but also has a soft spot for quin I sometimes wished she didn't forgive him to easily but I enjoy there relationship as toxic as it is. They have great sex and are afraid of being in love and I'm here for it!! 👏🏼🤣 but for this next book i want to see character growth as well they need need learn to communicate better cause that's there main issue.

Drop Dead Queen

Holy Hell!!!! What was that BOMB!💥💥💥💥 It was my brain exploding from that ending!!! I was not expecting that at all. Quinton is battling his feelings for Aspen. He is practically loosing his self control. Aspen is truly one of the strongest woman I have ever encountered. I would never survive a fourth of what she has endured. I am on the edge of my seat dying for the next book. Zara Eden and Connor Brown both did an incredible job narrating this book.

Dark intense

This story is intense and exciting, Aspen survived the helicopter crash,Her instincts kick in to save herself.
Quinton risk his life to save her. He really loves her, but has to be careful not to show his emotions.
Someone is still trying to kill her.
The cliffhanger is intense and wanting for more.
Zara Eden and Connor Brown tells this story with the intensity and emotion of the characters. They bring this dark story to life.

I love this series

King of Corium by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman is a dark enemies-to-lovers bully romance that I listened to audio narrated by Zara Eden and Connor Brown. This is the second book in the Corium University Series.

This is the second book of J.L. Beck and C. Hallman's that I have read, and it won't be my last. I was pulled in from the first chapter and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I am loving the messed-up relationship between Aspen and Quinton. I can't help but root for them. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of view throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Wow that ending!!! I can't wait to jump into the next book Broken Kingdom to get the rest of their story.

Zara and Connor did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like dark romances, enemies-to-lovers romances, bully romances, or romantic suspense.

Corium University Series!

Drop Dead Queen (Corium University, Book 2) is a all consuming fiction that no matter what's happening you cannot stop listening to it. This story is dark and twisted with a complex storyline. I love Aspen's character and well Quinton he is a enigma, dark and holds a lot of power his character envelopes into more likeable than book one. Their lovestory is complex as well as being passionate. The plot is gripping, as well as suffused with danger, secrecy and unexpected twists. With a colossal of a cliffhanger I'm looking forward to listening to the next audio.

Zara Eden, Connor Brown artistically perform this audio. Excellent narration. Zara's inflection is smooth and easy to listen. Connor's tone is also easy to listen. Both narrators inflections brought the characters and their story to reality.

Intense!

This is the second book in the Corium University series, a dark bully romance. Wow! I loved it! Aspen and Quinton's story continues where the first book left off. Aspen is such a wonderful character, strong, and determined. Quinton is enigmatic, dark, and powerful. Their story is intense, passionate, raw, and complex. The storyline is intriguing, filled with mystery, danger, and twists and turns. The story ends with a big cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to Broken Kingdom, the next book in the series. Zara Eden and Connor Brown did an outstanding job with the narration. If you like dark bully romance, this series is for you. #The Flock

My heart! 💔💔💔💔

I am totally invested in this series by C. Hallman and JL Beck. Completely riveted. It is painful to listen to the heartbreaking storyline. IT IS DARK. IT IS FULL OF TRIGGERS. The authors warned us. Take heed. If you thought the first book was too much.... It took all I had not to be physically sick. My heart and stomach twisted into painful knots! But still, I couldn’t pause the audiobook.

We learn more about Quinton, but he still has quite the way to go to make up for the beginning. I adore Aspen. She is so strong. Yes, stubborn as well. But she has my respect. I cannot get over that cliffhanger. I really need the ending! I need to see heads roll!!!

Zara Eden and Connor Brown are excellent narrators. Their emotional performance, along with the story itself, kept me riveted. Easy to listen to and captivating voices. It was perfection.

uhhhhgggggg 😳🥺😓

My heart aches so badly for Aspen. I know in the next book justice shall be served and that's just all I'm hoping for. Not sure if the next book will be released in audio version because of the triggers and typically dark books like this aren't released in audio form. But I already have it started and I know justice will come!! Aspen is so strong.

Good Listen

Aspen has Quincy to protect her but their "relationship" is dysfunctional. Quincy does not want anyone to bully her except himself and he gives her things to survive to get her time. But he can not be there to protect her when she needed him the most.

Dark and suspenseful!

Books you cringe at, but can't stop listening to because their is that glimmer of light. This series is exactly that. We pick up book 2 where we left off, and the suspense does not let up. Just when you think Quinton and Aspen have a chance, something happens. Sometimes it's Quinton, but sometimes it's not. The hate for Aspen's family is evident, and the school is not going to let her off...ever. It's dark. It's dangerous, It's abusive. It's loving. It has it all. Quinton is a very complex character. Conflicted does not even cover his emotions. Love Aspen? Hate Aspen? Depends on the moment and his actions reflect it. Aspen needs to get stronger, though it has to be hard with all that is coming at her. And JL Beck and C Hallman are not letting up. The cliffhanger leaves us wondering and need the last installment of their story! I cannot wait to see how this all plays out. It's going to be a wild ride.

Zara Eden and Connor Brown continue their narration of these character. There is a huge cast in this series, and these two are spot on with each one. Eden plays Aspen with care. She is emotionally drained, doesn't know who she can trust and just finds the solace she needs in Quinton. Eden finds her soul and gives us all of her pain. Brown has some crazy boys to play, but Quinton is the toughest. He pulls out all the stops, letting us feel his conflict, letting us hate and love him. This is a good casting of characters and a great listen.

Aspen and Quinton!

After narrowly escaping a threat against her life Aspen returns to Corium but the threat is far from over. As she recovers she begins to see another side of Quinton however through no fault of her own she is still the most hated person in the school and the bullying against her continues to escalate. What appears to be a reprieve turns into a traumatic experience she may never recover from.

Quinton is torn before the emotional feelings he has for Aspen and the rage over her family’s actions for which he holds her responsible. He is dealing with his own family drama as well which means he isn’t there when Aspen needs someone the most and the fallout from that is sure to be extreme.

The characters of Aspen and Quinton draw you in as they take us on steamy and suspenseful ride that accelerates into a cliffhanger which leaves us wondering how they will overcome the events that have happened. I enjoyed the performance of the narrators as they brought out the conflict that Quinton was feeling as well as the strength and resilience of Aspen. 🎧 Audiobook Obsession
