No Justice

While some of dialogue was amusing, the basic plot of Due Justice did not work for me. When federal judge Willa (mid 40s) was told by a family friend that she has information about a murder, she doesn't immediately inform the police.

Instead of a legal drama, this book was basically an amateur detective story starring a really smart lawyer who just wanted to play Columbo. Willa didn't appear to have any respect for our justice system, which seemed strange for a sitting judge.

Since I couldn't relate to the main character, I had a difficult time concentrating. When the murderer was finally revealed, I was unimpressed and relieved that it was over.

Unfortunate

I tried so hard to like this book. But you have obvious issues with characters that and a lack luster plot. The entire story was flawed. And things don't improve. I would not recommend this book to anyone.

Loved it

My first Willa Carson book and I LOVED IT. Diane Capri is a first rate storyteller. It has all the necessary ingredients of a page turner. Mystery, suspense, tension, well crafted plot, good use of a and entertaining characters! I gave the narrator performance a five because I enjoyed the story so much.

Struggled to finish

unlike her Hunt for Reacher series, the twists and turns through Tampa's high society were good for bringing on sleep, but not much else for the plot.
There's simply too much boring detail and not enough informative detail.

Good book BUT

While I enjoyed the book & performance the day, date, time to the second as well as the location, at the start of each chapter, drove me nuts and made me doubt if I would listen to another book by this author
