He expected nuclear war, a computer virus, or even climate change burning everyone to a crisp to bring about the downfall of civilization. But cruel and arbitrary gods from another world? Who would have guessed that? When these cruel gods shuffled Earth like a deck of cards, nothing was in the same place anymore. Monsters, dungeons, and magical items appear scattered across the globe. Zach grew in power and thrived in the post-Framework world. He became a respected leader, a shining example of what it meant to be good. But as the world ended, he had only one thought: to punish the monster that had killed the world long before the Framework ended it. Yet not even with his incredible power was he able to stand against the World Ender. His arrival in the new realty, the Infinite Realm, gives him the chance to grow stronger, to find the monster again-and make it pay.

Story
Milton Frederick never had the chance to live out his life as a professional gamer on Earth, mainly because he was abducted by aliens. Unfortunately, he wasn’t returned home after the typical probing associated with such things to tell an unbelievable story to his friends. Instead, he was summarily killed and his consciousness was inserted into a Station Core, a giant, metal, egg-shaped object that could use technology to create traps, Combat Units, and other defenses to protect not just himself, but those he cared about.

Accidentally murdered by a cleric in another universe during a botched resurrection, Arnold, a semi-pro gamer, wakes upon an altar to find himself incarnated into the overweight body of a farmer who could have been his fatter twin. He’s not the hero. He’s not the villain. He’s certainly not the chosen one who is there to save the world. He’s a clerical error. It could be a bad joke, but apparently, it happens so often that they have a standard procedure for returning you.

Publisher's Summary
The entire best-selling Dungeon World series is now together in one volume!
This Dungeon World Series Box Set includes:
Dungeon World, Books 1-5
Bonus short story
In a world five times larger than Earth, dungeons and their Dungeon Cores have become the top of the food chain.
Millions of dungeons inhabit the planet, utilizing the Human people as a source of much-needed Mana to facilitate their own growth; in turn, the humans delve into the dungeons to acquire their own power in the form of Essence, which allows them to develop and enhance themselves in a multitude of different ways. It is a symbiotic relationship that has lasted thousands of years and has brought about a measure of peace.
Far in the northern wilds where no Humans (and therefore - no dungeons) regularly frequent, a young man is left alone when his parents are suddenly murdered. Now, without friends, family, supplies, or even much knowledge of the wider world, Fredwynklemossering embarks on a journey to discover who - or what - killed his parents. Along the way, however, he learns more than he bargained for, including his seemingly impossible status as a Dungeon Core/Human hybrid. With that knowledge comes a shift in his objective; revenge against those who wronged him turns out to pale in comparison to the dangers the Humans will face in the future.
Will Fred be able to successfully straddle the line between the Human and Dungeon Core worlds? Unfortunately, he’ll have to, or else the entire Dungeon World may be doomed....
Contains 564,000 words, LitRPG/GameLit elements such as statistics and leveling, as well as dungeon construction and defense. No harems and no profanity.

Let me save you the time Trash
So, I am into Litrpg and I really enjoy them but this was just trash. No one dies and no one stays dead lol let me say that from the start.
This is one of those feel good books that makes everything works out, so if you are looking for some blood and death this is not for you and its not worth the credit I say because I could imagine a story where everyone and everything works out just great lol. I say this entire series isn't worth 1 credit, I always wonder why these books at times have such low reviews and this is why they're trash.
Finally, I would tell anyone looking for a litrpg to skip this one because it's straight up garbage.

Garbage
I’m not usually cynical but this was not worth it. The story is trash and the set up and character development is nonexistent. The only thing going for it is the fact that it’s a lot of listing for only one credit. But you should really buy something else.

Fred
Jonathan Brooks is an amazing author, one of my personal favorite in fact. His unique spins on Dungeon building and the engaging characters and story line that comes along with them are wonderful.
In this case, Fred's story is unique, exciting, and engaging the whole time with some interesting twists thrown in. You get a little bit of everything you can want from dungeon building to, to rpg character progression, to the unique combination of the two that is Fred. I absolutely love it!
Highly recommend.

Always solid Author - Decent Narration
Not my most favorite narrator in the genre, but a solid dungeon core story raises it to an easy 4-5 star.
Added bonus, if you ever have questions, Jonathan is available and responsive via social media. Just an all around great guy with a great value for your credit.

For the most part loved it
Majority of the story and the concept i actually had me drawn completely in however alot of the time you made the mc seem very forgettable during crucial times and repeatedly made him say I need to pay more attention next for him to do the thing over and over. Actually during most of the story and in every book even though he can hear and see everything in his territory he still failed to pay attention during key moments almost Everytime. Then he doesn't actually play the cards he actually have sometimes I don't know if it's for plot or you just forgot but some of the times where he was in a bad situation some of his abilities could of got him out simply but he acts air headed to the fact. If you can fix these minor issues your stories could go a long way but readers like progess and he barely shows any besides in power

a solid dungeon Core series, that ending though.
overall it's a pretty good series, I enjoyed it till right about the end. The ending isn't very good because it's essentially, I suddenly became a God and snapped everything better solution and it's pretty lame, I also find the way that nobody ever seem to get truly angry at the main character for being insanely Reckless pretty unrealistic. Over all its good just those gripes.

In Serious Need of Editing
This review is for the whole series.
The story is not bad. The idea of a dungeon being the MC and developing its power and abilities is interesting and novel. However, the writing is so bloated with extraneous verbiage that, unfortunately, I stopped listening about halfway through book 4. It seemed like the text was padded to ensure there were 5 books, each book covering one stage of the MC's journey. This resulted in a story with far too much exposition (possibly to up the word count to fill five books,) which a good editor would have trimmed to help the author "show" more and "tell" less.
An example of excess verbiage would be "He turned to look at her with a smile showing on his face." which could be replaced with "He turned to her and smiled." a reduction of word count of more than 50% You could also remove all instances of "appeared to be," "seemed to be," "somehow," "some sort of," and "actually," and other qualifying words and phrases and reduce the length by about 10%.
Miles Meili's narration is OK, if a little monotonous in places, although this could be due to the amount of emotionless exposition in the story.

a great place to start in the dungeoncore genre
tbh, dungeoncore is not my favourite subgenre of lit-rpg at all (ranks above harem and ultra violence, but still) although this is a great place to start your dungeoncore adventures. that defenders are attackers is confusing, but besides that. good!

found wanting
This is my 4th litrpg book/audio and I enjoy this different style of story. So I am really happy I didn't start the genre with this set. The writing would perhaps be interesting for a younger audience, for myself I would like some type of world building, more description of a dungeon, more description of the MC. all i know is that mc has a name of Fred and is a teenager. This whole story is like reading Cliff's Notes. I could have handled all this but the worst thing of all here is the reader. Is it really necessary to pause all the time. Voice is similar to listening to Google voice. robotic.
Skip this book/audio and go to Dungeon Crawler Carl or He Who Fights Monsters.
