Publisher's Summary

You’ve tried your best for years and never managed to please your demanding parents. You’ve fallen head over heels for someone who keeps ignoring you. You’ve hit rock bottom.

Tessa is close to giving up on her authoritative parents and their demands, on her studies, and on everything in her life, including Dylan. He is the one boy she has loved since she can remember, the one who dated her and promised her forever when they were 14 and then dumped her without an explanation, only to ignore her ever since. He is the one who shows up to save her from violence before the stroke of midnight, who kisses her and holds her close, only to tell her in the course of the same night that he doesn’t love her.

Tessa knows Dylan has gone through some tough times, and they’re only getting tougher. Is he telling the truth about his lack of feelings for her, or is he running from his own demons?

The way Tessa sees it, she has two options: run away and leave it all behind, or stay to fight against her controlling family and win back Dylan. She has a feeling he needs her. How can she leave when he's the only man who’s ever made her feel alive?

This is a stand-alone story without a cliff-hanger.

Cute loving story... HEA

The characters are well liked but their low self-esteem got to me at times. The story is quite sweet but they keep misinterpreting each other... I love him/her... but he/she doesn't care about me. Same thoughts... Talk already!! Open up. Too many unsaid thoughts. I guess that's what makes the story.

Glad to see Tess has "balls" to stand up for herself... but, she could have done better. Nonetheless, glad to see she wasn't a victim asking for pity. She did have a lot of hopeless thinking... but so did Dylan.

Early in the story, we find out that years ago Tess was forced to have sex by Shane... He was then referred to as her "Ex". Why? They never dated. And, not once, was the word "rape" used. I really didn't understand that. The emphasis on this was under developed.

Tad Branson is amazing. His expressions makes imagining so perfect. Abby is great too but at times speaks very slowly. A bit frustrating. Over all the narration is really great.

The hot scenes are really hot. :P

Enjoy!

good and slightly predictable

This was a good story. The fact that Tessa was a pushover got old quick, but it was nice that she found her backbone. Her father needed his ass whopped. Dylan was the definition of a sad story and was a great big brother. The twist at the end with his father was great. Wish there was more about his mother but maybe her absence was necessary.

Two sides

Wow! I truly loved how the author shared one message from two points of view. Life isn’t always sweet because a person has money. This was my favorite thus far. But I’m left with a few questions, and I'm praying I'm not left hanging.

GUT RENCHING

I have never wanted to fight for a character in a book before until Tessa. She found her back bone and strength, and so did Dylan. These two, I felt deep in my bones. It made my heart stop. I think this is my favorite book so far. All of them are great but i don't even have the words to say how well written this book is and how much I love it.

Dylan & Tessa

So far in this series Dylan had shown no real redeeming qualities. I hated his total dismissal of Tessa, she’s always been a sweetheart. This book changes everything. We finally find out what his deal is, and oh boy, this guy has alot going on. As does Tessa. Jo’s writing continues to amaze me, the depth of these characters and intensity of the plot is all encompassing. This story can stand alone but I encourage readers to start at the beginning of the series for the best , most intense experience. It will not disappoint.💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

The best yet!!

Oh I soooo loved this one!! I loved Dylan and his brothers and I love Tess.. I have been waiting to hear their story. And to think Dylan is just a 19yr old boy. He worries and strength are amazing. I love how strong and loving Tess is.. I can wait to hear more about them in future books.

heartbreaking beautiful

I adore this story. So heart felt and emotionally engaging. Male voice is enthralling. Tessa's voice could have been less pitchy which makes her sound wimpy. I feel like her voice should match her strength of character. Love this story and the whole series.

Love the story, female narrator, not so much!

I love this book, heck the whole series. Just have to ignore that theyre teens. Reads more like mid 20's so thats what i picture while reading.

Male narrator os awesome and sexy, females voice annoyed me so much i almost stopped listening several times. The voice of Tessa os fine. Its the impression of the other voices. Id give this a full 5* all the way down if not for her. But definitely worth listening to!

Absolutely unmissable series. Awesome narrators.

Having parents like Tessa and Dylan will damage any child. Sacrificing your child for monetary gain is unforgivable. Good for Tessa for finally standing up to her father and bravo to Dylan for taking responsibility for his brothers after being abandoned by both parents.
A fantastic story that evokes several emotions. It is totally intoxicating to me to read about two damaged lovers who breaks down each other's barriers, illuminate the darkest, loneliest recesses of each other's souls then become one whole together. An Absolutely amazing series that is unmissable. Awesome narrators

the least dramatic

the series has been steadily increasing in angst and brokenness but with Dylan, Ms Raven takes a side step to the lesser of the evils she portrays in her books.
these 2 have been a long time coming and I was thinking the situation was going to be more intense but although its a serious topic, it just delves below the surface and not into its core. the pace was a little slower and more like book 1 with the slow burn but not as hot due to the fact they've been dancing around each other for years. (although there are steamy scenes )
tad branson, I've listened to before and I had forgotten how good he is. Dylan's personality is written in such a way that he's rather sombre and troubled but still has the underlying quality of reason which is what tad brings to the table. Dylan is unlike the previous inked boys and Ms Raven depicts this nicely.
Abby is awesome as well, her ability to change her tone for the male voice is 1 in only a few female narrator's in my book.
Rafe sounds more troubled and I think falls into Zanes crisis category ...so I'll have to see.
