Publisher's Summary
Marlowe is a pickpocket, a housebreaker - and a better actress than any professional on the stage. She runs with the Covent Garden Cubs, a gang of thieves living in the slums of London's Seven Dials. It's a fierce life, and Marlowe has a hard outer shell. But when she's alone, she allows herself to think of a time before - a dimly remembered life when she was called Elizabeth.
Maxwell, Lord Dane, is intrigued when his brother, a hired investigator, ropes him into his investigation of the fiercely beautiful hellion. He teaches her to navigate the social morass of the ton, but Marlowe will not escape so easily. Instead Dane is drawn into her dangerous world, where the student becomes the teacher and love is the greatest risk of all.

Love love love this!
Oh my, I loved this! I fell in love with Elizabeth as a 5-year old. She loved pink, she loved being 5, she loved it when her mother put her to bed instead of nanny. What a sweet little girl. Then her life is changed dramatically.
I did not want this book to end. I truly loved it. The characters were wonderful There were laugh-out-loud funny lines and then tearful emotional points. Marlowe was a fish out of water at the Earl's townhouse after living most of her life in the rookeries. Her relationship with Dane develops over (little) time and, of course, he helps to end her life of crime.
The end is touching. The narrator of the audiobook did a fabulous job with this.
My favorite Shana Galen book yet.

Great Adventure
Not your usual story - a young child is abducted and raised in the Rookery. She survived by her wits. Then she was discovered by the Earl’s brother. Max, the Earl, was appalled at this dirty, ill mannered hellion. It was war from the start with Marlowe, our beautiful heroine, creating some really funny set downs for the Earl. I mean what was an Earl to do but fall deeply in love. The narrator was spot on and brought the story to life. Great accents and each character had their own voice. A perfect love story with a few moments of intrigue. Perfect ending ready for the next book in the series.

Amazing, Excellent, Fun Story! Great Narration.
OMG this book was so much fun to read\listen to. I enjoyed every minute of it. It was so different than I expected and the narrator made it even better.
I laughed so many times during this book. It wasn't a regency romp type it was just so well written that the funny moments were just that, funny not silly.
I absolutely loved the heroine Marlowe. She was just great, beautiful, funny, witty, street smart since she was raised in St. Giles as a pickpocket. She was clever. But so very naive at certain things. And her slang was hilarious, like bubbies, and cockchafer. So many LOL moments with her.
I really enjoyed the hero, Dane as well. He was handsome, smart, witty and a touch picky. LOL which was funny. The chemistry between the to was great, it felt real and genuine and not forced at all. There are a couple of very very well written hot and steamy romantic sex scenes. Not erotica not BDSM.
The story line and plot was great. The entire story flowed so well and was so well written. I just loved it. There is so much fantastic dialogue throughout the entire book it really was hard to put down. I would have listened to this in one day if I could have. This was such a pleasant surprise.
As for the narration. I have to say that Beverly Crick did a very good job and made this book come to life with her narration of this story. It was perfect and possibly made the entire thing more enjoyable. The accent she used for Marlowe was just perfect!
I do wish she the hero's voice was a bit deeper but at least she tried and you could tell the differences. Her reading voice was very nice. Everyone had a distinct voice and she read with emotion including whispering, yelling, and singing. It was great! Love a narrator that give a performance instead of just reading to you.
If you have not read or listened to this book you are truly missing out. I highly recommend this book as a read but especially as a listen.
I loved it! I am going to get the next one in the series and I hope it is just as good. Thank you Shana Galen for a fantastic story. Thank you Beverly Crick for a fantastic listen.

Fast moving story
Great narration. Fast-moving story with an interesting plot and interesting characters. Once the main plot line was resolved the book wrapped up really quickly. It may be that some of their story is followed up in book 2 or book 3, but an epilogue or final chapter for closure would have been nice. I was really engaged for the entire story. The writing was good. The interaction between the hero and heroine was fun. The brevity of the ending left me feeling shorted. So, overall 3.5 stars on story.

Awesome story best narration
I very rarely write reviews unless I feel a book is good and given lower reviews than it should. This book was really cute but it was the narrator that brought it to life. It was given a 4.2 on a 5 scale. Tisk tisk to those who didn't give it what it deserved. I know of another book/narrator:Elizabeth Hoyt s book "Duke of pleasure " very similar but the narrators make the story come alive. This book along with the other mentioned is the best two books I listen to over and over. Give them a try. You'll never regret it I promise!!!

Creepy start
What could Shana Galen have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?
Why does the love story start with a kidnapping? The heroine is afraid for her life but wants to sleep with her kidnapper? The main male character decides to lock her up in his room and tie her up, and she still has the hots for him? How did he even think that was appropriate, especially if he thought she might be a lady? Unrealistic and gross. Totally turned off from the whole story because of this.

Any additional comments?
I downloaded Earls Just Want To Have Fun because of the narrator Elizabeth A. Crick, she is one of the best narrators I have ever listen too on audible book. I was looking for other stories she narrated and came across Earls Just Want To Have Fun.
Lady Elizabeth Grafton was abducted at age 5 while playing in Hyde Park. She was tricked into playing kick ball and taken to live with a Flash Gang of thieves. 15 years later Sir Brook Derring who is know as the hero of Bow Street has been hired to find her and he does. He re kidnaps Elizabeth, AKA now know as Marlowe and throws her in a carriage with his brother Maxwell Derring the Earl of Dane. Maxwell is asked to take Marlowe to there home and keep her there until his brother Brook can notify the Marquess of Lyndon and Lady Lyndon that he has found there long lost missing daughter. This begins a Madcap adventure of Marlowe upsetting the refined dignified household of the Earl of Dane. It's the beginning of a snob falling in love with his lesser or a person he believes is far below his own station in life.
I loved Elizabeth/Marlowe and I just wished the author had spent more time on letting the reader see the relationship develop between Marlowe and her Long lost Parents. This doesn't happen until the very end of the story. The ending is rushed and the next thing you read after she meets her parents is she is married to the Earl. There is no real thought given to what could have been a great ending. Thus 4 stars instead of 5.
