Publisher's Summary

They have returned. Now the galaxy will burn.

An ancient foe lurks in the shadows...licking its wounds and assembling its forces.

Risen from the ashes and shrouded in darkness, these ancient beings are waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike back and set the universe on fire.

After their world is ambushed in a devastating onslaught, the Star Alliance is nearly wiped out in one fell swoop. Hotheaded pilot Chase Athanatos leads the barely surviving fleet to the far edge of space and a small backwater planet.

A little-known world called Earth.

In doing so, the Alliance unwittingly puts Earth in the crosshairs of an intergalactic, eons-old conflict between ancient foes and god-like creatures known as the Olympians.

Chase’s people must join forces with the citizens of modern-day Earth if they hope to survive the resurgence of an enemy once thought extinct.

When it becomes clear that his Fury powers are awakening, Chase must face his inner demons and learn to control them, or he could very well destroy the universe he has sworn to protect.

If he doesn’t succeed, then the galaxy will fall into darkness.

Forever.

Exciting with believable characters

Update: Finished, stunned and speechless. No fairy tale endings here. Great listen!

After Book One: I received a free audible code but I would have gladly forked over a credit for this enjoyable series.

Author enters his political agenda

Everyone has their own political beliefs. With that said reading /listening is my escape from the political rhetoric in our world.

The author just pushes the socialist and anti meat eating and anti farming agenda too much. I won't purposely purchase another Christian Kallias book again.

It starts I think it may get better, than it becomes bad in a funny way, and then just painfully stupid

One of the dumbest stories I’ve ever heard. Maybe because I’ve been in the military, or maybe because I can’t stand douchebags. The lead character is an irresponsible selfish pilot who is just soooooo naturally awesome his piers and superior officers let him do what ever he wants. Oh and he is part god that just showed up on earth fully grown in a space capsule and is adopted by random people who die in a car crash but no big deal. Government has zero intrest in alien man joining society and the military. Getting past the terrible story structure you also have the dialog. Listening to combat star fighter pilots converse back and forth with dude, and bro makes me want to punch the first person I see in a polo shirt. Absurd love story, and idiotic internal rage for vengeance “I will end you brother”. Just the dumbest thing I can remember ever listening to. I’ll listen and reed some exceptionally stupid stuff as my wife points out all the time. I just like story’s even bad one’s. I’ll cringe through most stuff just out of curiosity of how they wrap it up, but I gave up on this BS. It literally started to hurt to listen to. And I liked Moon Fall, granted probably not for the reasons the movie producers, and director intended. I saw Moon Fall commercials and said that’s going to suck but saw it anyway, and had fun. I can’t articulate how stupid this book is. You have my sympathy if you buy this book anyway. I really hope you don’t.

space commies

the author presents the age old scifi trops with their flawed premises. everyone works for the greater good becuase .... human nature aparently stops being human nature? the deities cite freedom as an important gift then ignore the facr that someone will always be incharge and making decisions.

Lots of stuff going on

So, the author took a bunch of elements from different movies and mashed them together. At first, I thought this might be rough to listen to, but he did a great job. It's got a little top gun, a little star trek, a little star wars, and some clash of thr titans. I loved the narrator as well. He does a voice that sounds EXACTLY like Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart). Finished the first 3 books, can't wait for the rest!

Buckle and get ready for his politics…

Author spends WAY too much time explaining his “man is evil to animals” platform. He does it over and over. Quite pathetic attempt to change hearts and minds IMHO.

Voice actor is awesome, but the edits done are intrusive to the overall experience.

Story could have been done much better, but overall not a horrible plot. But the politicking gets laborious and I couldn’t finish the book. The story just wasn’t engaging enough to bother to see how it ends.

First time in two hundred books that I made 20 hours into a 30 hour omnibus and called it quits.

Don’t recommend. If you are a member of PETA, you’ll love this book. If you like bacon or steak…you probably won’t….

Woke bullshit

Just write a story, don't care about your personal views, very disappointed in your attempt to preaching.

The hero is an idiot

Stupid decisions and poor logic. Trying to promote Vegans and Universal income. Struggled my way through the book waiting for the end—no mercy, more books to come.

Damn Good

This entire story was fantastic, I have enjoyed every part of all the combined stories. The powers of a Fury are awesome and the fights/battles are even better. The writing is done so well that I was feeling rage alongside the protagonist towards the antagonist. To me it felt like a Fury was in a way similar, to a Saiyan of DBZ, which I believe is really really cool. The technology and space combat is a definite highlight of this series. I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys space battles and superhuman characters with the power to destroy cities all fighting in epic battles.

Audio flicks between sound levels and what I assume to be different microphones very distracting. Good story though

Solid and interesting

The narrator gives too much emotion into the reading when it really didn’t need it, especially in the sensitive stuff. Must be a stage actor.
Unfortunately there are a lot of reread parts which are jarring where they are edited in, really poor form in production.

The story however is pretty good and quite interesting. The MC is unfortunately brilliant and stupid, but the antagonist is truely vile, very easy to hate.

Good as a box set but not a full credit per book.
