Fatphobic tone
This is a horrible book for anyone who struggles with eating disorders because it has an underlying fatphobic tone. If you are convinced your body is bad and needs to change, you'll always continue to struggle with eating disorders. Some of the content of this book touches on that, but nonetheless harps on the "obesity epidemic" and how bad fat accumulation caused by binge eating is. I also don't appreciate that Christianity was snuck into the content but not advertised as part of the book. Big thumbs down from me because it actually negatively impacted my mental health when I bought this as a self help book.
