What made the experience of listening to El Principito (The Little Prince): English - Spanish Dual Language Edition the most enjoyable?

The Little Prince is the perfect classic that it will help you to improve your English/ Spanish skills. It has been very easy for me to follow the story as the pronunciation is really clear and as it has the same chapter division is quite useful to listen to both so you will be able to compare them and catch some new words.
I have truly enjoyed this book, no matter how many times you have read it already, it will make you think and appreciate the little things once again. Strongly recommended.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character is definitely the fox which is the one who teaches us the value of love and friendship. The most famous frase from this book is his: " It is only with the heart that one can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eyes".

What does Shanna Stoker and Ximena Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

Both speakers and their voice acting makes you travel to the Little Prince's world.

If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

You cannot miss the bilingual audiobook version.

Would you consider the audio edition of El Principito (The Little Prince): English - Spanish Dual Language Edition to be better than the print version?

The Little Prince is a timeless French classical book that is usually included in those lists about books you must read before you. No matter you have read the written book, you cannot miss the bilingual audiobook version. It is a great tool when learning a new language. Apart from pausing and rewinding the story as many times as you want, you can also listen to it in both languages and compare and contrast the phrases.

What did you like best about this story?

In spite of being a short book, there is a variety of topics, so the listener acquires a diverse vocabulary. Moreover, there are many repetitions, which are very useful to retain what has been learnt.
It is a classic that is not out of fashion and is aimed at both children and adults. Due to being and audiobook, it can be enjoyed in family. The little ones will enjoy a funny and crazy fairy tale, while the adults, will discover a lot of metaphors and allegories used to deal with political, social issues, nature and life in general.

What does Shanna Stoker and Ximena Garcia bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

The two narrators speak at a good speed, clearly, and pausing when it is appropriate. When other characters appear, they modulate the voice and do a good performance exercise. As a result, the listening is dynamic and entertaining.

Incredible dual language book of an amazing story

This is for sure a well-done adaption of an incredible title. One of the things I enjoyed the most was how the story was narrated half in Spanish and half in French, rather than one language through the entire story. I used to study both French and Spanish but never had the opportunity to practice them both simultaneity. It is nice to see that this title provides such as great twist in its structure that encourages readers to learn more vocabulary in order to reach the end of this wonderful story. Furthermore, I found it really useful for this title to include a PDF version of both languages. This allowed me to understand the meaning of words and sentence structure in Spanish while confirming its applications in French and vice versa.

The sound quality is good and the narrators make a wonderful performance in which their repetitions of words allowed me to recall their definition and usage. The unforgettable quotes and phrases from this book will allow readers to learn the language because of the story, making it a more interactive and a fun experience. I highly recommend this book for those who want their kids to be bilingual and for those who are aiming at enhancing their vocabulary, listening and reading skills.

Perfect for young learners!

Definitely recommended for people practicing their language rather than new beginners but the story does makes it ideal for young learners and children. The order might be better if it was read chapter by chapter in both languages rather than the whole story in Spanish followed by the story in English. On the whole, it's a lovely little read with fun narrators and a really nice way of practicing new vocab and a new language whether it be English or Spanish!

I have greatly enjoyed El Principito - The Little Prince in audiobook format. Even though I usually read books in paper version, this was a new pleasant experience. While listening to it, I have been simultaneously reading the pdf version of the book. It was very easy to follow the narration as the narrator made smooth transitions, her voice was varied and changing the tone of voice where conversations occurred made it even more interesting to listen to.
El Principito - The Little Prince audiobook is a great tool for beginner learners of Spanish or for the ones with some knowledge, who want to develop their listening, reading and communication skills in Spanish. I have been studying Spanish for about two years at university, however, after a while of not using the language, most of my knowledge has faded. As I was listening to the book, I was able to understand some of the sentences, recognised some familiar words I once used to know, but I have also learnt a lot of new words and phrases. It also helped to remember how Spanish sentences are constructed and how the words are derived based on tense and gender.
In order to understand the story, I found it easier to listen to the audiobook while also following it on a pdf version, but just because I am more a visual learner. I truly believe it is a wonderful book that you can learn from, not only because two languages, but also because you can learn from the beautiful story of the little prince.
I have noticed only one minor discrepancy in chapter numbering. Chapter 6 on the audiobook was actually a chapter 4 on the pdf. Other than that, I would recommend it to all book lovers!

Clever and fun way of learning Spanish!

Such a great audiobook and such a clever way of learning Spanish for all age ranges! I listen to this with my 3 year old son and he loves the story, thanks to the clear pronunciation of both the Spanish and English parts of this book I have no doubt that this is the best way of teaching him foreign language at such a young age. Also for someone like me who speaks basic Spanish I find it very useful for putting longer sentences together and brushing up on pronunciation of certain words. This really is a great product for both old and young, very smartly done.

The Little Prince

I have never heard of this story before but I am extremely glad I have now listened to it! The story is extremely engaging especially the science fiction elements of the story and the message of unique love and acceptance make this book a wonderful listen. Along with this and the language is beautiful and whimsical in nature which I also thoroughly enjoyed. As well as this, the fact that the story is dual language I was able to identify and expand upon my Spanish knowledge as a result of listening t this book. The translation is clear and the voices are not too fast so I can understand the distinction between words a lot easier. Having studied Spanish in high school this is a lovely way to refresh my Spanish skills in a creative way as I also love reading as a way to expand my vocabulary in English. So the fact that this offers an enchanting story as well as help my Spanish knowledge, I can say that this book is perfect for all story lovers who want to learn another language.

Great book for learners

I have greatly enjoyed El Principito - The Little Prince in audiobook format. The audiobook was easy to follow with the use of the provided PDF. The story itself is very interesting. I've been learning Spanish in school for 3 years and I was able to recognize some of the vocabularies while listening to it. But, more importantly, I've learned new tenses and new phrases. Moreover, my pronunciation of Spanish improves significantly by just reading along with the two narrators. I would definitely recommend this audiobook to learners of Spanish and my friends as it is a very good resource for them to improve their reading, listening and communication skills.

Charming and Educational

A charming story about a little prince and a narrator who develop an admirable relationship throughout the book. Getting to listen to the book in spanish was a unique feature that I definitely enjoyed, as I have been learning Spanish for 2 years now, the book allowed me to add to my vocabulary, figure out when to use what tenses and has definitely improved my fluency in Spanish. I would confidently reccomend this book to anyone looking for a great story that improves your ability to understand spanish.

A great story for my level, told beautifully.

This method of passive learning suits my lifestyle and learning needs perfectly! I listened to this whilst performing day-to-day tasks or running errands whilst out of the house. The story was told entirely in Spanish for the first half and then again in English half way through, encouraging multiple listens to get an even better understanding of certain vocabulary and verb conjugations that I wasn't too sure of upon the first play-through. Muy útil para mi nivel de Español!
