Publisher's Summary

Are you struggling to get a handle on your emotions or find it difficult to read the emotional state of people you interact with every day and lack social calibration?

Keeping a clear head and thinking straight during intense emotional moments is not something many people can do. For decades, it had been assumed, falsely, that a higher IQ correlates to a greater probability of personal or professional success. But paper after countless papers - and more importantly, the real world - have proven time and time again that this isn't the case.

A groundbreaking study from Procedia Social and Behavioral Sciences published in 2012 has outlined why a higher emotional quotient (EQ) is a better predictor of success than it's the well-known sibling, the intelligence quotient (IQ).

And unlike the IQ, which is majorly determined by genetic factors, emotional intelligence can be drastically improved with a few techniques and changes to your behavior.

In this insightful guide, you're going to discover:

  • What emotional intelligence really is and why it absolutely matters in today's world
  • Six guaranteed ways to improve your self-awareness and get in touch with your intuition
  • 11 fail-safe techniques to help you skyrocket your emotional intelligence and get what you want out of other people
  • The ultimate 7-step technique to help you understand emotions and get yours under control
  • Three powerful case studies to help you better understand emotional intelligence and apply it with great effect in your day-to-day life
  • One of the most effective methods to deal with difficult people without losing your sanity
  • And tons more!

Even if have the social awareness of a child, or you're looking for ways to improve your gut instinct, this guide will help you develop a razor-sharp emotional intelligence, which, in more ways than one, is more important than IQ in today's world.

A good listen with practical advice

Definitely keep a audio notebook and pen handy as you listen this very well recording instruction manual for your life. I am ready to start practicing some of these already.

Robot voice. Awful

The inconsistent tones and choppy cadance were very robotic. It became literally unbearable for me to continue listening.

Terrible audiobook, obviously fake reviews

The content of the book is rather shallow, and the reader was downright amateurish. Many mistakes, often times it's not clear what this person was even reading. The dozens of similarly written glowing reviews should have tipped me off that they're undoubtedly fakes. Do not waste your time or money on this.

Terrible Narration

I could not finish this book due to the poor narration. It was so monotone that I often questioned if the Narrator was making words up and just throwing them in randomly because they didn't seem to make sense.

Terrible narration

WOW. This book's narrator is painful to listen to, to the point where I had to stop the book (which made me ANGRY ... lol).

As others have mentioned, he sounds vaguely robotic, but that's not the primary issue ... the primary issues are that he doesn't seem to understand punctuation. He doesn't consistently pause at commas and periods, yet DOES pause in the middle of sentences, making it really difficult for the listener to know what the heck is going on.

Second, he puts really strange emphasis choices on unexpected words, once again rendering the text difficult to understand.

Third, he sometimes seems to be reading the wrong word (either that or the author made some very strange word choices), as he'll add a suffix to the word where it doesn't make sense or doesn't include one where it should be.

Painful to listen to this book

So….I can’t give an honest review of this book because I could not tolerate listening to the narrator on the audiobook. I tried many times to give it a chance, but could only last about 5 minutes.

Life Changing Help for People With Anger Issues

I've struggled with anger most of my life but did not realize how serious the problem was until about a decade ago. I've listen multiple books on the topic and this one is the one that helped me the most. I've listen it and will likely listen it again. Life changing.

Disappointing

Lacks any real content and the narration is horrible. The narrator sounds like an automated voice. The writing is not very good either.

Disappointing

The narrator is a boring robot With no emotion in his reading which makes it hard to follow. This is ironic considering the title. Bounced around lots of topics without really diving into the content or solutions. Not recommended
