Publisher's Summary

There comes a point in your life where you have to say enough is enough. I wasted my college years on a guy who played with my head, played with my heart. I was blinded by the fairy tale, the one that didn't exist. The day I gave up on the idea of happily ever after, my focus became me. Moving forward and establishing my career. Until one day....

I didn't expect him. My new boss, a six foot two, inked rock god. I believed I was working for the record label - I was wrong. It's impossible for me to keep my distance; believe me, I've tried. He's not who I expected him to be. He's so much more...he's emphatic.

Logan maybe, Kacen yes

Loved Kacen, Logan not so much, at least not at the beginning. Kacen falls for her hard from the beginning and the sweet romance is slowly building but Logan is holding out till almost the end despite him showing her over and over that he is the one. It ends in a HEA with a surprise for Kacen on their wedding night that makes him very happy.
Enjoyed the voices of the narrators, Ms. Macie warm voice for Logan is fitting her character and Mr. Hobbs's Southern voice for Kacen is to die for.

Swoonworthy hero

I love Kaylee Ryan's books because she writes basically about men who know that a woman is right for them and they are focused on treating the women right. Kacen embodied this kind of man- since he met Logan, he loved her, even if he didn't know it. She was the "one" and he was unapologetic about it. I swooned a lot. I also loved the other band mates and I am looking forward to reading about the other guys getting their HEA. That said, I wasn't a big fan on Logan. She was written to be a bit weak, emotionally, holding out from Kacen but in such a way that seemed a bit silly. Now, the author has written about hesitant women and I totally get that her past made her hesitant. I just wish her hesitancy wasn't so drawn out to be a little aggravating. That said, overall, I think this is a solid read and I loved them achieving their HEA.

Ah, the audiobook. I haven't listened to many books by either Nelson Hobbs or Jillian Macie but they overall did good. Nelson Hobbs did a very good job playing both male and female characters and he has a beautifully smooth voice with a slight twang. It was a pleasure to listen to him. Jillian Mace has a sweet voice but her male voice falls apart a bit. It sounds forced with a fake raspiness. That said, I know that both are narrators for the other books and they are definitely books I'll be listening to!

LOVED IT!!!

Logan and Kacen were just perfect for each other. My heart broke for Logan in the beginning but it was absolutely the BEST thing to happen to her. I can’t wait for what’s next!

The narrators fit the character’s personality perfectly!

Love Nelson Hobbs for Kacen

I got about halfway through reading this book before I realized this book was also available with my Audible Escape membership. I have to say how perfect Nelson Hobbs was for Kacen with the perfect Tennessee twang. I love the story, love the characters and this audio was the perfect way to experience it.

predictable

A good story line, but very coincidental circumstances. Predictable the entire way through. wish the main characters had more fight in them.

NA Romance Rockstar

Casein and Logan had their time in paradise. Then they knew each other as Michael and Paige. Freshly out of college Logan has the world before her. She gets a job as the personal assistant to the band. Not knowing that her vacation fling would be her boss. They went through much to form their bond over the summer of her employment.

Nelson and Jillian brought the characters and their POVs to life. The audio was smooth and clear.

It’s a struggle

The story is good, but the female lead voice is tragic, especially when impersonating a male voice (cringe worthy). I couldn’t take much more once reaching chapter 5.
