Publisher's Summary

A Wall Street Journal bestseller.

All it takes is a little friction to turn up the heat in the third Accidental Billionaires novel by New York Times bestselling author J.S. Scott.

Like his brothers and sisters, Seth Sinclair went from blue-collar to billionaire overnight, and he’s decided to invest in what he knows best: construction. There’s only one thing in his way - the endangered birds nesting on a piece of prime beachfront real estate. And fighting for the birds is Riley Montgomery, a stubborn, pain-in-the-ass, drop-dead-gorgeous environmental lawyer. The worst part? Seth will do anything to keep her around - even if it means hiring her to be his fake girlfriend.

With a cause to fight for, Riley agrees to Seth’s scheme. If she keeps the superficial women away from Seth, then he’ll leave the wildlife sanctuary alone. But pretending to be his girlfriend comes with ground rules: No ass grabbing. And absolutely no sex. Ever. The problem? The sexual tension sizzles when they’re together.

Seth isn’t so keen on Riley’s rules, but he’ll keep his word, at least until she decides otherwise. But bringing Riley into his circle has brought her past back to haunt her in ways that neither of them expected. Now it’s less about broken rules and more about broken hearts, and Seth will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he loves.

Good Story

How much of the story? 10%
Anything beyond M/F? No
If yes, explained

Heat Rating... 7/10
Clean or Fade to Black - 1 or 2
Normal to Descriptive 3-5
Detailed Descriptive Sex - 6-7
Um, Wow, Beyond Descriptive Sex - 8 or above

Was there so much sex or unrealistic sex that you rolled your eyes and/or skipped forward? Almost

The back story... The h is an angry tree hugging attorney 🌲😜 and is trying to stop the H from building on a beach front piece of land after some endangered birds decided to make it their home for the first time ever! 🙄

The Romance... The H gets the h to be his pretend girlfriend for a couple of months, then he will give her the land.

The drama explosion... The h freaks out and jackrabbits.

Did it feel Real, OK or contrived? Contrived
Was it OTT? Yes
Separation involved? Yes
Was it resolved properly or rushed? Ok

Final Notes... The premise of the birds stopping there to nest for the first time ever requiring building there to stop forever was way over the top.

The love scenes were a bit too flowery but I know that going in with this author. I like her stories enough to know when I can skip forward a bit.

Not that Enamored...

The story was okay, but it bothered me that both main characters kept saying "female" instead of woman. It changes what could've been a romantic sentiment into something that sounds clinical.

J.S. Scott has written another winner!

I loved Enamored as much as the two previous books in the series. Seth and Riley’s story is intense, passionate, emotional, hot, sexy and sweetly charming. These two are amazing together. The way they complement each other, support each other, make each other laugh and overall interact makes this book a feel good romance! J.S. Scott gets it right every time. Emotional, page-turning reads and characters that stay with you long after you close the book. I listened to the audio version performed by Elizabeth Powers and really enjoyed her narrative. She reads with just the right amount of emotion and gives the characters distinct voices. Can’t wait to read Noah’s story. Overall rating : 4.5 stars!

Characters are Indistinct

There is a quirk to Scott's writing that I have come to find bothersome. She will solely refer to women and men as females or males. Not gals or guys, ladies or lads, men or women, dudes, gentlemen but once she did use chicks to describe women. It would be of little matter except the characters she writes come from diverse economic and geographic backgrounds. This makes every character flat and indistinct from their counterparts in a way that makes zero sense. Seriously, who only addresses people as males or females?

Added to this most every character falls into two categories per gender. For women they are survivors of abuse or tragedy, or they are down on their luck but try to stay positive. These females, as the author too often puts it, will quibble about the two traits the men always seem to posess as a push/pull of why she should leave and why she needs to stay to heal him. The men will always be possessive to the point of deception or overreacting to situations they often misinterpret whilst having a difficult childhood that they can't seem to overcome and use as a ready excuse for their deception and mistreatment of the women they invariably forced into their life.

Sure, these are essentially drawn out book porn, and that is fine, but maintaining the pretense that the emphasis is on book would be nice. These two things are so glaring that it really pulls you our of the book to shake your head and wonder why the author didn't just copy/paste her previous books into a different cover and change the names.

The narrator did a good job, especially trying to differentiate many voices from different genders, often in quick succession.

I'm hooked.

I really think this series just gets better and better as it goes. I love all of the characters, and I think even the narration got better (not that it was ever bad).

This book was the most emotional for me so far. Riley's tragic backstory was heartbreaking, but it made me love her even more for the strength she showed, and made me love Seth even more for the support he gave.

The narration was great. In book one, I was wishing it had been duet or dual, but Elizabeth Powers brought a great performance that left me completely satisfied.

love conquers all

I really enjoyed listening to Elizabeth Powers. Perfect.

Seth and Riley, make a deal, she pretends to be his girlfriend, and promises not to destroy a rare birds nest.

The rules are no touching, both find this rule is not easy.
There is a mention of abuse , but is dealt with compasion.

Loved it

This book had it all. Light and funny. Real and raw. Serious and emotional. Intimate and friendly. Seth and Riley had great rivalry and witty banter. Another great addition to the Sinclair family series of books.
