Publisher's Summary

Alisa Marchenko has reunited with her daughter, and even though she hasn't figured out how to get Jelena to accept Leonidas yet, she dreams of the three of them starting a new life together. They can return the Star Nomad to its original purpose of running freight and staying out of trouble (mostly).

Before that can happen, Alisa must fulfill the promise she made to Jelena: that she and her crew will retrieve young Prince Thorian, the boy who has become Jelena's best friend. But Thorian was kidnapped by the rogue Starseer Tymoteusz, the man who wants to use the Staff of Lore to take over the entire system - and the man who may have the power to do it. Alisa doesn't know why he kidnapped Thorian, but Tymoteusz once promised to kill the prince, so she fears they don't have much time.

Unfortunately, Tymoteusz hasn't left a trail of breadcrumbs. Finding him will be difficult, and even if they're successful, facing him could be suicidal. To have a chance of surviving, Alisa will have to come up with her greatest scheme yet.

Sex sex snd still more sex... Enough already!

Absolutely awfull! Enough sex more story. The sex was used as filler in my opinion. This book was boring! Sandwiched between sex and more sex! Tired of reading my description.... Well imagine listening to it I only held on to hear the end and what a waste of time and $$.

Love, love, love

Recommend starting with the first book in the series. Total escapism, with good character development and lots of action. It's part space opera and part fantasy and has so many great characters.

While not necessarily sophisticated prose, the books are well written. I love escapist fiction but hate when it is poorly written - the author writes very well.

Love the humorous dialog and actually laughed out loud a few times. There is even a little romance thrown in. Highly recommend the entire series!

Pretty good

The stories are kind of silly but fun. Without Kate Reading they would be rather boring; her narration is wonderful; I would enjoy listening to her reading a shopping list. I will look for other books she has narrated.

Lost interest

Lindsay Buroker has just given up science fiction and switch to cyborg erotica. The last two books have spent more time on the love/sex story then anything else. I’ve completely lost interest in these books.

Kate Reading is as always a dream. She’s wonderful. Even when reading a bad book.

Aw×, I hate to see it end!

"End Game" by Lindsay Buroker and performed by Kate Reading is an absolute joy and a very fitting end to a superlative series! Packed full of action, adventure, humor, and heart the entire series is wonderful. I simply wish it didn't have to end. *brava*

Great adventure series!

The reader is excellent and kept me interested through 8 books of space adventures. If you like dry wit and a good heroine, this one’s for you!

Excellent Conclusion

All the characters are awsum and have filled out personalities. the banter between them was enjoyable.
I really appreciate the woman touch, I don't think a male author could pull off the motherly vibe.
The series got a little repetitive, with being captured and escaping.
The cross genre writing was entertaining, but I wanted more... The power of the seers was like starwars force, I was waiting for more poof... The friendly android could of got a heart of gold, like Wizard of 0z... and the void rift could of led to somewhere special...
Lindsay ßuroker, made these thoughts possible... and that is what an awsum writer does... create possibilities.
I really liked the ending.

Great sci-fi/romance/action

I listen to a lot of space sci-fi and fit in a romance or action/intrigue novel here and there to mix things up. Buroker’s Fallen Empire was satisfying on all three levels. The suspense and the relationships kept me engaged throughout and I appreciated the unpredictability of the plot over the course of the series.

The lead character’s angsty moments got tiresome at times, but felt authentic (unfortunately). I liked the way End Game wrapped up the series in a way that provides a good amount of closure but hints that future stories about the “family” may be forthcoming one day.

Action pact!

Very exciting!
I didn’t want it to end. I want to travel around their universe and share in the adventures too.
Even though these books are expensive to by and there are so many of them, I got some with my credits and the rest I bought wit my Amazon gift card but if there is another book, which it looks like there might be; I will have to buy that one too.

A great end to a captivating series

I can't quite say why, but the narrator and the story went well together. The eccentricities of the main characters endeared them to me.

Not bad at all.

Great story, happy ending. Good listen. Would recommend, not a huge fan of the voice actor.. But story more than makes up for it.

An amazing series - loved it!

I’m sorry that it’s ended. I loved how the characters all grew together. Marchenko is a great fully realised character that I absolutely loved from the start, her dry humour was an absolute joy. A very satisfying story and the epilogue left me smiling at the very end.

stubborn captain

The storyline was somewhat predictable, however I found the main character had the intelligence of an obnoxious teen with all her decisions making and in the real world would not survive as she showed too much naivety. that being said the books were a good listen.

Quirky Sci Fi series

I loved the whole series. Great character development with a quirky freighter captain, intrepid crew, evil villains and exciting space adventures.
