Logical Keto

Being 84 years old and a Type 2 diabetic, I've tried every diet ever created. Recently, my diet of choice was Keto and it helped with my glucose levels but my weight wasn't changing. Net Carbs just didn't work for me. Dr. Westman has great credentials and his plan is very simple--trust gross carbs and eat proteins and non-starchy vegetables. Don't worry about the fat and, most of all, stay off of sugar and other carbs that affect your blood sugar. In addition, I'd like to thank Dr. Westman for having a professional reader, since so many authors think they can read their own books. Those of us who listen to a lot of audio books know that reading is an art and the reader of this book is very good. Including the pdf containing the checklist is a nice perk. I've been on this for a week and feel great. Best of all, my glucose has stabilized. Thank you, Dr. Westman.

Fabulous and useful information

Totally worth your time. I had been frustrated with keto not working for me. I assumed it was my age. It turns out I was not doing it correctly.

Easy to understand Keto

I loved the simplicity of explaining keto without all of the Mumbo Jumbo most books use in explaining keto. Good format and narration. I am now ready to start losing weight.

Easy to understand and follow

This Book is giving me the knowledge and tools to change my health for the better. It’s disappointing to see how many medical professionals are completely in the dark about LCHF Keto living. In spite of all my markers for Metabolic syndrome being reversed my doctor seemed to discount those test results because my LDL had gone up and was suggesting I go on a statin at 73 yrs of age. I am now looking for a new and enlightening physician.

Great low carb lifestyle info!

I highly recommend this book for its content! It has lots of helpful information for following a low carbohydrate eating plan along with a quiz, BMI chart and food lists. Mispronounced words and misplaced pauses by the narrator were rather distracting.

Get this!’ Listen!! You will NOT regret it. There is no secret pill and
miracle cure for obesity, diabetes and heart disease! Hippocrates said “Let your food be your medicine”! Dr Westman is the best authority on this particular subject that I have heard…ever! I am 60 years old, I follow phase 1 and am doing great. No pills or potions, just eat real food…lose weight, lower A1C, blood pressure and trigycerides! PlEASE listen and LIVE!! I watch Dr Wesam’s vids on utube as well. Has changed my life…no exaggeration!

Great book, AWFUL NARRATOR

Such amazing content, but it’s almost impossible to listen to because the narrator sounds he reads the book like an “As Seen On TV” informercial.

Well worth reading

Although I am a vegetarian I appreciate idoctor westman's approach which is no nonsense total carbs intake that makes everything a lot easier to apply, also he doesn't worry about protein in the sense that every other current diet does

It is written like a sales pitch and repeats. There is for scientific references to areas regarding insulin impacts. Waste of money!!

Purchase you will find a new life.

I've listened too many of the great current presenter's on diet and nutrition: Campbell, Poppard, Esselstyn, Fuhrman, Mason, Berry etc and they all put across a convincing point on nutrition and diet and what you need to do to beat being overweight, reverse diabetes and to heal a fatty liver. Dr Eric Wiseman is one of the few espousing the same message but with the added advantage of over 20 years clinical and university experience on how to manage/lose weight and keep it off. No need to count calories, weigh food, start fasting, exercising, buy special foods or equipment!
With this book he will hold your hand and walk you through a very simple tick test to establish which level you need to start at 20, 80 or 150g of carbohydrate (maximum) a day of allowed carbs to eat. Most will start I guess at the lowest level of 20g which I have not found a challenge and easier than fasting. You also get a very easy guide for your fridge for you to see at a glance all of the great choices of everyday meats and vegetables you can enjoy. This is not some long dry list of a 1000 items that will send you too sleep but items that anyone will find at a supermarket etc. I also use an app called "keto diet" which gives you the number of grams of carbs at a glance before you start cooking what I can only refer to as scrummy food and not dreary salads. My whole family are now eating a keto menu and they have not noticed a change in meals. I thoroughly recommend this book to you.
