Story
Nathaniel Garro and the Knights-Errant offer a tantalising answer to a question many fans of Warhammer 40,000 and the Horus Heresy have asked themselves - did every member of the traitor Legions turn against the Imperium? This collection of stories follows some few Astartes who turned on their Legion rather than their emperor or else became blackshields - renegades in that grey space somewhere between loyalty and betrayal.

When the vital forge world of Orestes comes under attack by a legion of Chaos Titans, the planet is forced to appeal for help. The Night Lords were once among the most potent forces of the Imperium, Space Marines who used fear itself as their weapon. Now, cast adrift from the Emperor's light and hunted as heretics after their monstrous betrayal, the Night Lords clad themselves in symbols of death and fight the Long War, bringing pain and terror to all who worship the corpse-god of Terra. A summons from Warmaster Abaddon sends these rebels on a dangerous journey that leads inexorably to a conflict with the Emperor's chosen warriors, the Blood Angels.

It is said that all who live belong ultimately to the Undying King. In the shadowy lands of Shyish, Nagash, God of Death, calls forth his soulless legions to reassert his dominion. His dread advance begins with the free city of Glymmsforge, bastion of Azyr in the Realm of Death. Standing between Nagash and his prize are the brooding Anvils of the Heldenhammer, an ancient host of Stormcast Eternals, and Lord-Castellant Pharus Thaum, guardian of the Ten Thousand Tombs. As battles between the living and the dead rage throughout the Mortal Realms, the War of Heaven and Death begins anew.

A fun listen
Does it give expansive stories that answer burning questions about the lore? Mmmm not really, but then that isn’t what most of 40k is about anyway.
Does it give stories that provide disjointed snippets of lore, and do a better job at conveying a mood? Yup.
Voice acting is great, stories are a fun listen to immerse you in the grimdark.

A combination of The Horus Heresy Audio Collection 1-4 Volumes. However, what makes 'Endless War' great and stand out is the selected audios. It gives a much clearer and better picture of the larger decisions.
Also, the majority of the audios are already favorites, so it's awesome to listen to them back-to-back without going through all four volumes.

brilliant but loud audio
The story, voice acting and sound effects are amazing, really enjoyed listening too this audio book, my only complaint would the audi is a but up and down in terms of volume, sometimes I'd have to turn it up because its hard to hear and other time it's far too loud,
but other then that, I dint think it takes away from the experience and is a really brilliant set of stories, great to hear sound effects to help bring it to fine and the voice acting is brilliant.

Shameless re-hash
Don’t get this if you already have the Horus Heresy Audio Collections. This entire collection is just randomly selected stories already sold in the HH audio collections. They do this a lot but usually there are a few new ones thrown in, but not here. All pre-existing titles just slapped together under a new title.
Very disappointing, waste of money. Big thumbs down.
