I'm not "damaged". No horrible childhood or demons in my past I'm trying to outrun. In fact, my family is ideal - funny, supportive, and filled with couples that all follow "our" golden rule: Find her. Protect her. Love only her, with everything you are, every day, for the rest of your life. So why is it the mere thought of a monogamous relationship, more than one night with the same woman, sends me bolting in the other direction? Because I hadn't met Bellamy Morgan yet.

Hockey star Max Yearwood was everything I needed at the time - fun, sexy, up for anything, and only around for a few months, since he’d signed with a new team 3,000 miles away. Max proposed we spend the summer helping me forget my ex. It sounded like a good plan. Things couldn’t get too serious when we had an expiration date. Right? Though, you know what they say about the best-laid plans.

Story
It’s natural to want the one you can’t have. And for as long as I could remember, I’d secretly wanted my brother’s best friend, Jace. He was six years older and always treated me like the sister he never had. Fast forward a decade. We were all in our 20s now. Jace had moved in with my brother, Nathan, and me to help us make ends meet after our parents died. It was just the three of us - an odd family dynamic. Living under our roof, Jace was as bossy and protective as ever. But he certainly didn’t look at me like a sister anymore. That was what made things so complicated.

I fell in love with my best friend but he didn't love me back. Sounds like a cheesy line from a country song, right? Too bad it's the story of my life. I thought that I'd moved on, swore he was the one. But that facade began to fade in the flash of a half-carat diamond ring. Now years later, here I am, running back to the boy who broke my adolescent heart, hoping that just maybe, he'll be the one to piece it back together.

Story
Confusing and overall disappointing.
There was so much story left out between the covers of this book. It left me feeling over all disappointed.
*****Spoiler Alert*****
Audible Plus review. Multiple POV (Dane, Laney, Bennett, & Zach; it shows narrated by 5 narrators but I have no clue where the 5th narrator spoke). All of the narrators did a good job. Book 4 (but really book 6) of 12 in the Evolve/Full Circle series. The reasons I rated this a 1 star read are: #1 the author blindsided me with a bizarre timeline (it seemed to be written by a completely different author than the previous books in the series); #2 I didn't realize this would be 25 years after 'Embrace' even though I couldn't figure out where Presley was until the middle of the book; #3 I had no idea who was getting married for almost half of the book (maybe I missed it?); #4 "Part I" wasn't read so I was surprised when "Part II" started (I actually checked the preview of the ebook and its definitely an author error because it wasn't marked there either); #5 I was actually irate with the author when Zach forces Bennett to admit that after Tate's death she had only ever slept with him after what I assume was a minimum of 20 years (because the author NEVER specified) and Zach had been with lots of women. This double standard is ridiculous. Why do women have to stay in perpetual isolation and loneliness waiting for the man they love to wake up and realize that he wants her? Why was it ok for Zach to flaunt all of his relationships in front of Bennett? That's not romantic that's CRAP!!!! #6 I have no idea what the cover of the audible book is supposed to be. I'm going to try to translate what actually happened in my review below. Trigger warnings: Tate died in a car accident, Dane punches Zach three times.
Prolgue starts with the "I Do" moment at a wedding. The book never did specify which wedding.
25 years after 'Embrace'. Part I is Dane & Laney POV and Part II is Zach & Bennett's POV). "The crew" (Dane, Laney, Sawyer, Emmett, Evan, Whitley, Zach & Benett) fly to Jamaica for a destination wedding (Skylar & Judd's), Whitley drives everyone crazy planning it even though Dane purchased a wedding package, they all spend a few days shopping, golfing, snorkeling, Zach & Bennett are acting weird, and then all of the crew's kids plus Macy, Blaze & Ryder show up early. Dane & Laney (aka Caveman & Disney/Gidget) are now married with 3 children (Skylar 22; Jefferson Tate aka JT 20; & Bren 18). Laney made him wait until she'd graduated and started coaching before she finally accepted his 16th proposal. Laney is now coaching the college team she played for and Bren is one of her pitchers. Jefferson Walker (aka Jeff) & Trish, Laney's parents, are now close friends. Evan & Whitley are married, they built a house with the help of the crew on the land Parker gifed them, and although they had fertility issues have a son named Judd. Judd & Skylar are getting married (which is bizarre since originally this series started with Evan & Laney when Evan was deeply in love with Laney and now their children are getting married). Judd is JT's best friend. JT sleeps with Macy, one of Skylar's bride's maids. Bren is attracted to and eventually starts to date Ryder. Sawyer & Emmett (aka Saw & Emmy/Em) are married, Presley is their only child because Sawyer never wanted her to feel different because she wasn't his biologically. Presley is 25, living on her own and dating Blaze (an older, tattooed, Harley riding man Sawyer doesn't approve of). Zach Taylor Reece coaches junior high football, teaches Algebra, refuses to commit and is quite the player after being burned 3 times by women. Bennett Rose Cole is single after Tate was killed in a car accident (ironically his second car accident in the series) the day he was going to look at a house he planned to buy for them; they were never married. She runs the gym Dane had given Tate, Dane bought her the house Tate was going to look at the day he died, while she dates she hasn't been in a serious relationship since Tate, Zach is her best friend now. Parker & Hayden Jones are mentioned but only briefly and again there are no details about their triplets. Andy (Dane's former best friend/sky diving accident victim) & Samantha are mentioned briefly but no details. It's revealed that it's been "years" since Tate died and that other than sleeping with Zach over time a few weeks after Tate died Bennett hasn't been physical without anyone else. Zach and Bennett finally get together, Zach forces Bennett to say he's been the only one she's been with since Tate and he'll be the only one going forward. Judd and Skylar get married and then leave for their honeymoon in Montana. Zach and Bennett decide to continue their vacation and plan to go from Jamaica to New Orleans.
The epilogue finds Laney reflecting on her children growing up, Skylar leaving the house, and then (while dancing with Evan) how Evan and her are with who they were meant to be with. JP

Beautiful story and full circle conclusion
I laughed ,I cried, I cried while laughing. The narrators did an amazing job of bringing this story to life. Getting to hear the ful circle story for Cooper and Todd aka Laney and Evan was great. So thanks to the author, and narrators for bringing to life for the rest of us.

A Wonderful End To A Must Listen Series
This series is my introduction to S.E.Hall and I love her storytelling. This is an absolutely perfect end to a very well written series. I love that we don't know how far into the future this story is in the beginning and we just get to enjoy "the crew" and all their idiosyncrasies regardless of the passage of time. It was beautiful to see how they have all grown and matured, mostly, and yet the still remain the same. Life wasn't always fun and games for them but they endured and friendships became even stronger. I really liked that their biggest losses and heartaches were told about after the fact which alleviated some of our heartache. And Sawyer, well his actions just made me love him even more ... awhhh ...
Really good narrators, I was completely enthralled for the entire listen.
Absolutely worth the credit. Just sad to see this series end.

Doesn't do the series justice!
Narration was fine, but the story line and the age group for the crew made no sense. These characters are suppose to be in their late forties, early fifties, but their dialogue and actions remain the same as they were in late teens early twenties. It's was harder to finish this one, but figured I had to, to just move on.

Hmm
As I liked the first couple of books I was disappointed in this one. So much was left out. Really didn’t need the extra book on the wedding, I thought would be Danes and Laney’s in this one.
Book 2 I loved so much with the banter of the men omg I need me a Sawyer.

I was happy with the crew and the way this story came to an end. It had a few surprises that I had missed or skipped but it was a great way to end things. Everyone in the crew got there happily ever after in the best way.

Did I miss a book?
While I enjoyed this book and the entire series….I feel like what was meant to be clever timing was kind of off and didn’t match up. Why didn’t we as readers get to experience Laney and Dane’s engagement and wedding? Why didn’t the author just write this one next? Also wasn’t Laney holding a baby on the plane? Whose baby was it. Plot 🕳 !

This is 10 book in 1
I love the other book but this is so confusing. The narrators are great, that why I finish the book. But one chapter you think one thing then next chapter is like something else. Did S.E. Hall write this. You could made so much more money by breaking this book up talking about Kids, life, marriage and death in the book. You could wrote easy 10 book out of this one book. Please fix. Love the Previous book.

The stereotypes soured the good parts...
I listened and mostly enjoyed the other books in this series. There were parts where they were just a little too saccharine for me but I know that's a personal taste thing, not to mention par for the course with many romance novels. This last book though...
Let's start with the good bits.
- All the gang is here. Whoop! Whoop!
- Meeting the next generation. And they are a riot!
- Seeing how things develop in the 'missing' love story and learning why it took so long to resolve
- All the sexy times... steam!
- Male Narrator's voice, though I did chuckle at his female impersonation during sex scenes. I must confess, there are loads of narrator's listed. I could only really detect one... sorry...
So all this is going on and I was happily enjoying the story line and really looking forward to seeing everyone in a whole new setting.... and then they get to Jamaica.
Don't get me wrong, I was born and raised in the Caribbean to the ripe 'old' age of 26 when I moved to the UK and I've been here for over a decade now. So I've seen life in both the 'developed' and 'developing' worlds and the way S.E. Hall represents Jamaica and Jamaicans in this book comes across as if she's saying "Lovely island, shame about the natives".
I kept waiting to see at least one Jamaican / island based character represented in a positive light. I've finished the book. I'm still waiting. For example:
- The cabbie is a stereotypical pot-smoker and crazy driver.
- The hotel housekeeper is a loose woman apparently looking to latch on to the first ride off the island to the USA (even at the cost of public indecency).
- Even the hotel Events Coordinator is portrayed as a waste of space that they wasted money paying for.
While I'm fully aware that Caribbean people have their flaws, this portrayal was hard to stomach, and I'm not even Jamaican! So my advice to S.E. Hall is the next time she takes her characters off to a place she doesn't know, please do more research. Talk to people from that location. All sorts of people from different walks of life so you can work with more than the stereotypes when setting the scene.

Good Read and Listen
I was a little lost at first still thing there could be special Bennett and Zack there story isn't finished, there is a big jump in time and the next generation ad a squad which I think is just like the Crew. Didn't want this book to finish as there's no more now so a little gutted.
