Publisher's Summary

A renowned sleep expert and a SoulCycle founding instructor team up to present a revolutionary science-based program to give you the energy you need to achieve your dreams.

Are you desperately seeking more energy? Dr. Breus and Stacey heard it every day from their clients, so they decided to do something about it: Write a book, and jump-start a movement. In Energize!, Dr. Breus and Stacey Griffith have teamed up to teach you how to get your groove back. Using the scientifically proven core principles of chronobiology and your biological body type (remember that from high school?), they offer an easy-to-understand, personalized program of small daily movements, sleeping and fasting on schedule, and mood hacks that will give listeners incredible energy, promote happiness, and fight off fatigue for good. Sounds too good to be true? Their program boils down to living the way nature and your DNA programmed you to live. But don’t worry, it's really simple - and super fun.

With fascinating science, quizzes so that listeners can identify their chronotype (lion, wolf, bear, or dolphin) and their body type (fast, medium, or slow metabolism), and easily implemented advice, Energize! will have you feeling happier and more energetic in 30 days.

PLEASE NOTE: When you purchase this title, the accompanying PDF will be available in your Audible Library along with the audio.

Critic Reviews

Energize yourself with this book’s worthy insights so you can stop searching 'fatigue' on your browser." (Mehmet Oz, MD)

Energize! is the long-awaited answer for the legions of people who are basically tired of being tired. As it relates to fatigue, there are many roads that lead to Rome. And while we assume that, for example, dietary choices may be playing a role, this book reveals the importance of not just what we eat, but also, how and when. Looking at our lifestyle variables like sleep, exercise and even stress management through these multiple lenses, as is so eloquently accomplished in Energize!, offers up a program that will re-engage vitality, stamina, and  participation in life.” (Dr. Perlmutter, author of Brain Wash and Grain Brain)

"If you’re sick of feeling tired, burned out, and worn down, this is the book for you. Energize! gives you the tools you need to identify your unique chronotype and body type, and offers customizable advice for designing a lifestyle that fits your specific needs. It’s a book that will take you from exhausted to energized." (Arianna Huffington, founder and CEO, Thrive Global)

Disappointed

The change in narrator does not add to the book. Using the resources on the website will result in numerous opportunities to purchase things from the author. This book is written for someone with a lifestyle that does not reflect most people's experience, eg dealing with jet lag.

Great Book and Content!

I loved this book and I swear I feel a difference. I definitely have more notable energy and I am down 5 pounds (cannot confirm it was because of this book, I have been working out more as well). The only negative part of the book is sometimes the readers voice can get annoying.

Disappointed

Not very useful if your energy levels are already good and you are looking to optimise it. Probably useful if you don't do much or if you struggle with your energy levels. Stacey's voice and the ways she reads is annoying. I had to skip at parts just to not to listed to her way of reading. The other two readers were good. The book has some pieces of good advice but nothing really new if you have already read a little bit about sleep, health and nutrition.

Not the best for Audio book

The information in this book is great. Unfortunately you will need a hard copy of this book in order to properly follow. Unless your a transcriptionist. Will be buying a copy of the book.

Power of When plus Body Types

If you’ve read Power of When, then this is a bit of a waste of time.

Liked it over all

Though some things annoyed me .

Why the , its me again , i’m back ? I mean it’s not a podcast.

I went through all the chronotypes then things just got very repetitive. Though it’s a similar information , could be better if it was not a copy paste (as it is audio just a playback of the same sections)

Super insightful but hard to follow the exercise

I think this is a pretty cool book! The tone is more conversational and it’s very engaging with the audience.
My only thing is the exercises can be included in the pdf. I appreciate the schedule is in the pdf but sometimes it’s hard to follow without having to go back to the audio.

Overall I really enjoyed the book

Nothing New Here

I'm very disappointed with this book. Maybe there are some gems somewhere back in the book, but the beginning hours contain nothing new and Stacey Griffith's "cute" little inserts are distracting and demeaning. Not worth my time!

Okay

Didn't learn much new. Was alright though the announcing of female voice every time irritated me a bit.

Sleep + Movement = Energy

You need to read/listen to this to take charge of your health, well-being and happiness.

More great information on the power of sleep, how to sleep and how a new method of movement will get you in shape.

I was able to get my husband to listen to it and I'm following the regime.

Fingers crossed it pays off.

Enjoy the learning.
