Story
After years of teaching intermediate students who never seemed to improve, I decided to find out what the problem was. Essentially, intermediate students get stuck because learning at this stage is a different type of learning than at the beginner stage. You have mastered the grammar and the basic vocabulary, but most textbooks just carry on like nothing has changed. However, what you need at the intermediate stage is not just more dry grammar and lists of vocabulary.

This book is not helpful at all.
Basic and Boring. Grammar itself is quite a boring subject to tackle, authors that write books about this topic should ensure they grab the reader's attention. This is by far the most boring and basic book that I have read about grammar. I did not learn anything useful at all.
P.S It's annoying how the author forces the listeners to rate this book.

non-standard, idiosyncratic
Just in the first 20 minutes this book made several grammar caims that are non-standard at best.
- it said that 'will' and 'am' are helping verbs
- it said that in the sentence "the dog is a chihuahua" the word "chihuahau" is the object
- it said that in the phrase "Jessica's cat" the word "Jessica's" is an adjective
In all cases it didn't even mention the more standard ways that these constructions are understood by people who study language.
I've already lost confidence in this book. I'm going to find something else.
