Shockingly hard to listen to

Oof, where to start. A few other reviews mentioned the lackluster performance of the narrator. This is not an exaggeration, it is not engaging at all, sped up at 1.6x it starts to sound. bit more like a conversation al tone and is tolerable.

Ok now for the content. I thought I was mishearing at first when sentences that are grammatically incorrect started popping up in the third chapter. I rewound and listened on 1x to be sure. Yes, there are a lot of them. It feels like this was translated poorly from another language. The author changes tenses constantly. We, then them, then you, in the span of 3 sentences. This makes the book unnecessarily hard to comprehend. Finally, the sentences are all over the place. Once sentence is about one thing, the next is an aside, then the third is off somewhere else, then eventually it returns to the original topic. Again, this makes the book unnecessarily hard to follow, almost as of there were lots of little call-out boxes in the original text that were just read directly as if they were part of the main text with no pause or intonation to clue you in as to what was happening. This might be a audiobook conversion fail or an editing fail but it doesn't matter, it's a total fail.

Ok information, unbearable reading style

I quit before the end after forcing through several more chapters. information is ok but overshadowed by a reading style that is robotic.
