Found great

Really great have i found. It is anything but a book that spotlights on all the significant digressions of the enneagram, for example, wings, sub types, and pathways for development. It's the best generally speaking book, that will give a reasonable but then proud comprehension of the trans developmental estimation of the Enneagram.

Good entry level book

Nice to have the Enneagram explained in non academic language. The book helpfully has it broken down into sections--Enneagram at play in different areas of your life--so you can look at dynamics in the workplace, relationships, family, etc. Also has handy "case studies" that show these variables at play in a real life scenario. Very useful!

Completely recommended.

The Enneagram is a hot fad right now and many people will never fully dive deep into the work of schluffing the mask of persona (or personality). Oftentimes we use knowing our number or MBTI as excuses for behavior. This book is transformational. It strips me of my "go to" excuses and excesses and challenges me to find presence. Ugh. Such good stuff.

Good information

I have many books on this topic and this one is one of the simplest and best places to start. Plus, the price is great. I wanted to share Enneagram with my friends so I gave this out as a party favor for my 40th birthday. Thanks!

Very useful read

I have read several enneagram books. This one goes deeper than most in conveying the core elements of the enneagram, explaining what is known about its history, and most of all, offering helpful practices for positive change and growth. The practices for growth are an identifying feature of this book. So many books stop at awareness and prompt readers to become aware and just try something different. This book urges the reader toward God and toward divine help in personal transformation.

Great enneagram book

This book is very detailed and dives deep into the wisdom of the Enneagram. I am finding it very helpful in my understanding of how "spot on" the Enneagram is regarding personalities--at least for my own self-awareness.

In depth and very insightful!

The content really helps you understand the various sub-types of the personalities and most importantly insightful themes to meditate on and explore to help you go beyond the coping mechanisms we have developed over time.

One of The Best

I've read most of the Enneagram books out there, and this is one of the best. It's probably a little too dense as an introduction to the Enneagram, but if you're familiar with it and want to dive in deeper, this is a great choice. The author does a particularly thorough job of discussing the three instinctual variants for each type, which I think is more useful than other books which only focus on wings.

Clear and detailed.

I appreciate that the headlines underneath each type provide a good outline of the different major points for each personality type. The only topic it doesn't cover is what each type looks like at various levels of high and low function.
