This was AWFUL!

Teagan McKenzie rushed through this 36 minutes with no inflection or drama. It's as if she got a bonus if she could read it.
She went from one line to the next and barely took a breath, not stopping for any length of time when there was clearly a broken or missing word.
Because of this, I couldn't keep track of the story because she ran everything together.
I'd love to hear this read by a professional, like George Guidall. It would make the experience so much more satisfying.

the clueless narrator

the narrator doesn't know how to pronounce any of the names, so it's impossible to understand or follow the story

not that great but not horrible either

the main problem with this is that the author is narrating what was originally a song. Combine that with parts of the texts that are just plain missing. Unfortunately this makes it a very difficult listen. Though you might want to listen to it if you can't slog through the text, which is what I did. It's not very long so if you can endure the lousy narration, you can finish it. it would be nice if somebody took the innumerable ish and translated it into a fantasy novel or something much more consumable.

Old english...

it would be much better to have a modern English translation . Why not just leave it in the original language since Elizabethian English needs to be translated for modern people

Narration sounds off

This sounds like it was narrated by a text to audio program. Very AI-ish

Narrator is like an old 'text to speech' robot

I could not bear to listen to even the short length of this book with this narrator. The performance was so straight and dry I had to stop. Without exaggeration, those newer text to speech AI give a better performance of the text. It's a shame because this tale of creation is actually pretty cool.

Monotone and unemotional...

I couldn't finish listening. The performance is absolutely terrible. it is read in the manner a child would count.

Tip For Listening

The narrator it's not very good. She does speak very clearly but is very monotone, without emotion, and fast.
However, I found that slowing the speed down to 80%, made it almost perfect. Great mythical story though.

Not the best reading of a classic text.

It's a great story, but the reading is a bit robotic. It's short though, so it's forgivable. Good for a short car ride.
