Eve has seen this crime scene before: the artfully arranged body of a young brunette, arms spread, palms up, body marked by the signs of prolonged and painful torture. Carved into her torso is the time it took her to die - in hours, minutes, and seconds. And on the third finger of her left hand has been placed a silver ring.

A Good Mini "In Death"
While I disagree with the previous reviewer, one must remember that this is a Novella of the "In Death Series" and is not a true representation of the whole In Death Series. I suggest that a listener start at the beginning with "Naked in Death" and work one's way through the 27.5 book available, before passing judgement on a novella.

A Creepy Tale
Would you listen to Eternity in Death again? Why?
No, I didn't especially care for the story. I also felt that, like most of the novellas, the story was rushed
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
Made it a full length book on it's own. Didn't really belong in this series to do the story justice. To be in this series they should have played this story differently.
What does Susan Ericksen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
i like the way she performs the different characters.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Not really. No surprises I couldn't see coming. No laughs, no great sadness.
Any additional comments?
No.

Another Fantasy/Myth...
The "half" books tend to delve into the more "impractical" story lines, and this one is no different. In this one, Dallas is forced to investigate a "vampire." She, of course, doesn't believe for one second that the guy really IS a vampire, but those around her, Roarke, Peabody, Trueheart, etc., all get caught up in the hype of it all.

Good for a few vampire jokes
Short and predictable murder mystery that would fit in well as a TV episode of Castle or Rizzoli & Isles. The villain is known pretty much from the get go. What makes the novella fun is the humor as Eve and friends embrace the dark humor of a vampire killer. All the elements of the full length books makes a brief appearance, including a quickie and some language.

One of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Pride and Prejudice, is vividly brought to life by Academy Award nominee Rosamund Pike ( Gone Girl). In her bright and energetic performance of this British classic, she expertly captures Austen’s signature wit and tone.
