Shotgun, Texas didn’t come by its name accidentally. In this Wild West town, shootouts are commonplace. Trying to keep peace in this rough place is Liberty Drake, a sharpshooting female deputy who has no trouble holding her own—until she meets Slater Rawlings, a handsome ex-Texas Ranger. As their love grows, Slater wants Liberty as his wife. But he also wants her to give up her gun and badge. Caught between her heart and her job, Liberty asks God for guidance. Excellent book!

This is one of my favorite series from one of my favorite authors. The narrator does a superb job with the voices. I love that both of the main characters come from loving, supportive families yet have to recognize and deal with personal sin. This book is not just entertaining and extremely well written, but it also challenges the reader to examine their own trust in God. I highly recommend it and the other 2 in this series.

Very religious focused. Talks about church throughout

Clean, sweet story. Wasn’t crazy about the narrator, just didn’t do well with different voices. Otherwise ok

Great Book!

This is the first romance book I’ve heard read by a man, but it was much better than I expected! With the book set in Texas in the 1800’s, his voice was perfect for narrating this book.

The Love Story and THE Love Story

Liberty and Slater weave a wonderful story of chemistry and spiritual growth. The plot is believable, however the evangelism out weighs the journey and the love story. Lori Wick writes beautiful phrases and this narrator is one of the best. If the evangelism was more realistic it wold 5 stars across the board.

Lori Wick is the best! Loved it!!!

My experience with Christian romance has not been very impressive until I experienced Lori Wick. She keeps it fun, real and full of character, drawing the reader in and caring them to an awesome journey that will leave them wanting more. She delivers with tenderness, love and passion based on a sincerity of faithfulness that is encouraging and beautiful. Please bring more of her books on for your readers. She will always leave you smiling, crying, at peace in your heart.

Religious claptrap

Premise sounded good, but I seem to have missed where it said it was a religious book full of dogma and nonsense, which starts not very far into the story. SKIP THIS ONE
