Dave Ramsey made his first million in his 20s - the wrong way - and then went bankrupt. That’s when he set out to learn what God had to say about managing money and building wealth. As a result, Dave developed the Ramsey Baby Steps and became a millionaire again - this time the right way. After three decades of guiding millions of others through the plan, the evidence is undeniable: the Baby Steps not only work for everyone, but they’re proven to work fast. Dave Ramsey shares Biblical wisdom on the legacy we build with our wealth. What does the Bible really say about money? About wealth? How much does God expect you to give to others? How does wealth affect your friendships, marriage, and children? How much is "enough"? There’s a lot of bad information in our culture today about wealth - and the wealthy. Worse, there’s a growing backlash in America against our most successful neighbors, but why?

Publisher's Summary
Everywhere we turn, we hear negative financial news - that the American Dream is dead or that the little man can’t get ahead. Our culture feeds us the lie that it’s impossible to become a millionaire in America today, but it’s time you heard the truth.
In his newest book, Everyday Millionaires: How Ordinary People Built Extraordinary Wealth - and How You Can Too, Chris Hogan destroys millionaire myths that are keeping everyday people from achieving financial independence. Chris and the Ramsey research team surveyed over 10,000 US millionaires, discovering how these high-net-worth people reached their financial status. And the formula might surprise you.
Millionaire status doesn’t require inheriting a bunch of money or having a high-paying job. No. The path to becoming a millionaire is paved with more-ordinary tools - tools that you either already have or that you can learn. If you thought you could never become a millionaire, think again. Listen and learn from over 10,000 everyday millionaires who have done it and believe it’s possible for you too.

Lacking substance
The book had very little data and instead was mostly a 6.5 hr pep talk on the basics of budgeting. If 10,000 millionaires were part of the sample there should have been a lot more substance in the book. Without that “research” being a consistent point of reference my expectations would have been more along the lines of a simple motivational book. Based on how the book was positioned I expected something closer to Millionaire Next Door which changed the paradigm of the everyday millionaire and how they live life. That book and the Stanley’s proceeding books was rich with content...pun intended. Overall, I feel like this book should have been a great podcast, but not a book. There are some great reviews so I know and hope this book will have a positive impact on many...just didn’t resonate with me.

Worste book I have listened to yet
This is my second Chris Hogan book thus far and neither have impressed me. Expecting this book to be as good as The Millionaire Next Door or Total Money Make Over, I was greatly disappointed. It seems like Chris and his staff wrote this book in portions and then jammed it together because the content is continually redundant and the data from the "10,000" people interviewed is repeated over and over. With all of that data, an opportunity was truly missed here. In the audio book taping, there are areas early in n the book where sentences were repeated twice. Seems to be very poor editing. The other annoyance is that some of the stories are directly repeated from How to Retire Inspired. Not sure I will buy from this author in n the future...

Too much Fluff
I came from Dave Ramsey's podcast and was excited to read this book. I enjoy hearing the stories of these people, how they overcame obstacles, and used different techniques to acquire wealth. Unfortunately, this book did not dive into these stories. It was mostly fluff about mindset and basic budgeting. If you are familiar with Dave Ramsey and even Chris Hogans work, this book is going to be a drag. If you are new to this stuff then it might help you.

Regurgitation of the show
Hyped as a scientific study of 10,000 millionaires...but reads as a pep talk. It is the same topics covered on the radio show with a random study result tucked into support the story. Was hoping to get a 2018 version of The Millionaire Next Door but it did not deliver.

Not what I expected...
I didn't find this information very valuable. If you already listen to Dave Ramsey or Chris Hogan then there is no point in reading this book. Chris does bring a positive outlook to retirement planning but this book just regurgitates information that we have all heard before.

Lack of statistical support but ok for someone with zero knowledge
Dave sold this book as being filled with hard statistics about how millionaires build wealth. The statistics in this book are few and far between. I read Millionaire next door and millionaire mind. Those books are chalked full of real statistics and unbiased analysis.
Chris Hogan’s Everyday Millionaire has a few cherrypicked numbers, heavily skewed analysis and way to much fluff. Each chapter consists of about 15% useful information followed by 85% conventional wisdom, and little “proverbs” repeated over and over and over.
There is some useful information for someone with zero investment knowledge though. The stories anecdotes are good and breath life into some of the useful bits of info. If you want to buy this for a teen or twenty something and make them read it in exchange for receiving some college money then this book may be a good place for them to start.
Still, i could not help but think; this relatively short book could have been 1/3 the length without losing any of its usefulness.

The book is inspirational but lacking in content. The message in this book is very good. Book started off a bit slow and a bit repetitive and the first part could have been condensed down a bit
