The sensational new crime novel from the best-selling author of Snap.
It was never supposed to be murder....
Pensioner Felix Pink is about to find out that it’s never too late...for life to go horribly wrong.
When Felix lets himself in to Number 3 Black Lane, he’s there to perform an act of kindness and charity: to keep a dying man company as he takes his final breath....
But just 15 minutes later Felix is on the run from the police - after making the biggest mistake of his life. Now his routine world is turned upside down as he tries to discover what went wrong, while staying one step ahead of the law.
Exit is the heart-pounding, heart-breaking and often hilarious new novel from Sunday Times best-selling author Belinda Bauer.

An unexpected delight
Following India Knight’s nudge to read this book in her Sunday Times column, I tried it. What a wonderful performance of this delightful book. Funny with dry humour, kind, caring, empathetic, and a mystery to unravel, what should be a sad subject was completely uplifting. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

Light Crime Storyline with Endearing characters
What an awesome book! I took a chance as this is not an author I have read before and have not regretted the purchase. I could not stop listening to this and am now bereft that it’s over.😀
The characters are endearing and and the narrator brought them to life. Excellent and absorbing storyline. I will certainly be looking out for other novels by this author. This is highly recommended and I will be buying hard copies of this to hand out to friends.

My favourite Bauer - against stiff competition
An absolute gem of a book - rounded, purposeful characters; twisty; kind; poignant and very very funny. I wholeheartedly recommend it. Tim McInnerny is a perfect, sometimes hilarious, narrator. Loved loved loved it.

hilarious & heartwarming
Was not expecting this, as its the first BB book I have listened to/read. It is beautifully written (and with proper grammar not 'was stood' etc) - and with really likeable characters. It is laugh-out-loud in plenty of places, even though not always an amusing subject. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic
I feel like I’ve waited a long time for another Belinda Bauer novel but this was definitely worth the wait. And such a treat to have Tim McInnerny reading! A bit of a twisty tale this one, with the usual array of nicely drawn characters- some familiar & some new.

It's a rare thing for me to write a review, however after just finishing Exit, I feel I must add my two penneth. What a joy this has been from start to finish. Belinda Bauer has created the most engaging of stories, and Tim McInnerny has breathed life into every character with superb voicing Charming, witty, twisty and sharp. Bravo Belinda. Bravo 👏

Too many plot holes for me
I know this is supposed to be a dark and humorous look at a serious subject but honestly it was so juvenile.
There were so many unbelievable and unrealistic plot lines that it became annoying in the end.
Also the narrator, who has a lovely voice but an awful patronising Cornish accent that was verging on the embarrassing. He actually sounded like he was mocking the Cornish. Anyway, it wasn’t for me.

Really enjoyable
I’ve read other books by this author and this was up there with the best.
An unusual subject told beautifully by the narrator. I liked his Devon accent. The characters were all believable, I liked Felix and was fully invested in his plight. Had me guessing till the end.

Belinda Bauer smashes it!
Best Belinda Bauer I've read so far!!! ( Blacklands and Snap were excellent but this is an A**).
She does great plot, characters you can believe in and whom you can empathise with, comedy, pathos, the lot!

Smart, humorous, thought provoking
This is my first Belinda Bauer book but it most definitely won't be my last. Very good story, well written, funny, touching, really got an understanding of the characters. Narration from Tim was spot on.

The most delightful listen I have had in a while
From the Guy Ritchie tie-in plot, the characters, the very English descriptions, the subtle humour & the beautiful voice of the narrator - this has had me chuckling throughout the novel. Needed this kind of book in my playlist - thank you Belinda

Charming and terrific plot
Really liked the warmth for the characters and the unexpected plot twists
Did I miss the time period it was set? I couldn’t really work out of it was the early 2000’s and for some reason this was a bit distracting.

Belinda Bauer never disappoints.
It's official. I'm a confirmed Belinda Bauer fan. I really enjoyed the Exmoor trilogy, but I liked Exit even more. What an unusual story and the old men were surprisingly intriguing characters.
While I think Tim Mcinerney is a wonderful film and TV actor, and he certainly has a beautiful voice, I was rather disappointed with his range of character voices. His women's voices were dreadful and the varied police officers, male and female, were made to sound like pantomime yokels. What a pity the chap who read two of the Exmoor books could not have read this.
I look forward to listening to every Belinda Bauer book I can find.
