Publisher's Summary

Peace is possible. Peace is our power. Peace is the New Success®.

Constantly striving to achieve one goal after another and investing more in our careers than in our actual lives have left many of us feeling overwhelmed, overworked, and disconnected from who we are - anything but happy.

Take Sheri Riley. She rose to the top of her field and was miserable. Sure, she was successful, but she couldn't buy peace, and material possessions didn't bring her clarity.

Now an empowerment speaker and life strategist, Sheri Riley shares the secret that helped her regain her sense of self and purpose. In Exponential Living, she offers nine principles to help the busiest goal-oriented people integrate their professional success with whole-life success:

  • Live in Your P.O.W.E.R. (Perspective, Ownership, Wisdom, Engagement, Reward)
  • Healthy Living Is More than Just a Diet
  • Pursue Peace and a Positive Mind
  • Have a Servant's Heart and a Giving Spirit
  • Stop Working, Start Maximizing
  • Happy Is a Choice, Joy Is a Lifestyle
  • Build Lasting Confidence
  • The Courage to Be Faithful
  • Exponential Living

Sheri's plan will help you to stop spending 100% of your time on 10% of who you are.

Features interviews with:

  • Actor/rapper Chris "Ludacris" Bridges

I did not like this book. At all!

This book was recommended by a podcaster. I was so excited about it, that I recommended it to a girlfriend and we decided to read and analyze it together. And we both had the same reactions.

1. We hated the author’s diction. She over-enunciated every word, every syllable as if she took some type of speaking class which told her to “round her words”. It didn’t sound natural, or comfortable. If felt so odd listening to a person who sounded like a robot unaware of the casualness of langauge.

2. Same can be said about her “exponential conversations”. These were supposed to be conversations with people who exemplify the thesis of her book. But none of those persons sounded real. They all sounded like Thespians auditioning for the role of their lives. It also sounded like they had been fed the answers, and we’re reading off a cue card. If this is supposed to be a “conversation“, then why did it feel and sound so forced?

3. The author has some good nuggets, but she has 1,000,001 of them. By the time you get to the end of the book, there are 35 to-do lists, 75 acronyms, and 101 questions, all leaving you without a real roadmap. There was just way too much stuff. If felt as if this was supposed to replace a life coach. So all of the advice that she’s given to persons over several years of coaching was crammed into this one book, and it was too much to digest.

4. Very lengthy. The same information could’ve been delivered more concisely, in a way that people could actually apply to their lives immediately.

Great Principles to live by but...

I had the most difficult time listening consistently to this production. The authors reading was so stilted and broken at times I just could not bear to listen any further. However....if you can get past that (which I did to completion) Ms. Riley speaks the truth! I now have the tools to live exponentially and will be using them daily.

Principles for peace

This book provides great principles attaining peace with yourself and your life. There is some discussion of Christian ideals, but nothing likely to be controversial to non-Christians.

BEAUTIFUL Picture

I really love the fact that she didn't hide the fact that she had a beautiful relationship with God I think if more leaders did this we wouldn't be so lost because you wouldn't focus on each other we would put God where he belongs in the front of our life and the rest is history as we make it everyday.
thank you so much peace and blessings

Wow! Excellent book, just listen at 1.5x

Don’t let the narration and over enunciation of the words scare you away from getting the audiobook. Kudos to Sheri for writing a book with excellent content and for narrating her own book. The narration wasn’t the best but I listened at 1.5x and survived. I also bought the kindle version to follow along!

If you are an over achiever and your own worst critic, this book will provide you many tools for getting your mindset right so you can get out of your own way. There are many golden nuggets of wisdom to highlight and several passages I listened to multiple times because I was like “boom”! Mic drop…This book is very powerful to me and I greatly appreciate Sheri pouring all she could into this book! This book came into my life with impeccable timing during a time where I got a new job as CFO and felt like I was moving away from my purpose. My plan! You will learn from this book that, although YOU have a plan, God, Buddha, the Universe, or whatever you believe in has a higher one for you and you need to accept and trust the plan.

I’m a firm believer in things happening for a reason and this book affirmed it for me. I’m on my path to exponential living and you can be too by getting this book!!

Don’t sleep on it. Buy the book or the audiobook or all of the above. You will not regret it!

Powerful!!!

I didn't know what to expect when I began my journey through this book. I not only received loving. authentic, spiritual wisdom via the life testimonies of the people highlighted in the book, but it gave me clarity of what I needed to do moving forward in order to experience exponential living not only for my benefit but for the people I encounter now and in the future. Thank you Sheri for sharing your heart in obedience to your calling in Christ.
