Story
Many Americans dream of financial freedom, but they're stuck in dead-end jobs and don't know how to get there. You don't need to be one of them. If you invested $35,000 in the stock market today, it could take 52 years for that investment to grow to $1 million. But if you invested that same amount into one single-family $140,000 rental property, it would only take 19 years. With just two rental properties, you could generate $417,000 in profit in just 10 years. Skeptical?

Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki are both concerned. Their concern is that the rich are getting richer, but America is getting poorer. The entitlement mentality is epidemic, creating people who expect their country, employer, or family to take care of them. And like the polar ice caps, the middle class is disappearing. America is becoming a two-class society, and soon you will be either rich or poor. Trump and Kiyosaki want you to be rich.

Many people have million dollar ideas. They're confident that their new product or service or innovation will make them rich and that all their dreams will come true. The problem is: Most people don't know how to turn their million-dollar idea into millions of dollars. According to many social scientists, the most important thing in life is a person's social and professional network. In other words, the people around us - our associates, our team, our friends. The people we surround ourselves with - and the people we go to for advice - can mean the difference between success and failure.

Maybe Good for a Novice

By: Brandon Turner
Publisher's Summary
Robert Kiyosaki - author of the #1 personal finance book of all time - has built a legacy around simplifying complex and often-confusing subjects like money and investing. He continues to challenge conventional wisdom and asks the questions that will help listeners sift through today's information overload to uncover ways to assess what's real... and what isn't. And use truth and facts as a foundation for taking control of their financial lives.
In this new book, Robert fights what’s "fake" and helps listeners differentiate between what’s real...and what isn’t.
Robert pulls no punches in his assessment of what is passed off as "fact" or conventional wisdom and believes that a strong foundation - for anything we want to build - needs to start with solid, true information. In today’s uncertain times, creating a secure financial future and the peace of mind that comes with it starts with taking action and taking control.
In FAKE: Fake Money, Fake Teachers, Fake Assets, Robert delivers insights and answers that help ordinary people - who probably haven’t had a lot of financial education - determine what’s "real" and relevant to their financial lives.
Every day we are bombarded with news reports and information and opinions... How do we decipher fact from fiction? How do we differentiate between truth and lies? And determine what’s real... from what isn’t? Kiyosaki believes that it starts with education, financial education designed to make us smarter with our money - and able to fight what’s fake and use what isn’t to secure our financial future.

Light on the Peanut Butter Heavy on the Crust!
Overall it constantly reminded me that it's purpose might have been to sell us on gold. A kitchen junk drawer of a read; IF your junk drawer was filled with old religious booklets, gold coin advertisement brochures and pamphlets from those multilevel marketing seminars you used to go to that were so heavy on the self-help quotes and jargon while never really being clear on what you'd be selling.
Listening to the book got most annoying when the narrator had to read aloud questions and answers to Robert. He'd have to say "Question:......." then "Answer:....." over and over like someone reading a script for their first part in a film forgetting that they don't have to keep saying their character's name before their lines.
That's not to say that I didn't find any useful information in this book, but most of the time it left the listener hanging as Robert moved away from personal finance and onto tangents about his spirituality. There were many mentions of Cryptocurrency, or "The People's Money" but he'd drop the subject just as randomly as he'd bring it up leaving you with a sense that he could have left any mention of it out of the book altogether without anyone missing it. Didn't leave the impression that Cryptocurrency was something he knew much about anyway. I will continue to check out other Rich Dad resources, but this book was far from my favorite.
I'll sum this book up for you all........."Gold.....blah blah.....Gold....Gold...blah blah....God....Gold.....God....Gold...Gold.... The End"

Disappointing - no new material
I’ve enjoyed many of Robert Kiyosaki’s previous books, but there is nothing new in this book, just rehashing material he’s already written. And he repeats it over and over again. It’s quite annoying.
I certainly recommend “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, “Cashflow Quadrant”, “Unfair Advantage”, and “Conspiracy of the Rich”, and definitely check out his lineup of “Rich Dad Advisors” books. If you’ve read those, there’s nothing more for you to learn in this book.

A far cry from Rich Dad Poor Dad
Oof - it is painful listening to this book after enjoying his original book Rich Dad Poor Dad. He went from the clear, logical advice that he gave there to this book where he answers the question of how much gold you should have in your portfolio with, "Well a guru once told me that however much gold you own is how much money you'll make in a month because gold attracts wealth and that's worked for me."
Makes me wonder if the reason he wrote it was simply to make the "infinite return" on investment he claims in here that writing a book will generate.

Unbelievably disappointing.
After enjoying his last books, I was stoked to try this one. Half the book is a cliff-notes version of the work of Stephen Brill, which you can buy yourself on audible. He freely quotes huge portions of Brill’s book and article, in place of original thought. The other half of this book is a multiple hour commercial for gold and silver. He repeats it over and over and over. “Gold was around in ancient times, it will be around when just roaches are left on earth.” Not his deepest thinking.

Heavy on conspiracy and "elites"
If you are all in on "elites" running everything, college doesn't teach you anything, when modern financial markets are crashing (and they will soon) chaos will rein and gold will save you, this book is for you. I was disappointed because I liked his early work and perspective on how to manage and earn money to live your life and retire. This was heavy, very heavy on the financial world is ending perspective with a ton of random stats and no explanation of potential solutions beyond protect yourself with gold. His disdain, mistrust of "elites" while there is probably something there, cause no one is perfect and anyone who works in financial markets will miss opportunities and not see crashes coming 100% of the time but he simply goes to far into conspiracy for my taste. And his belief that by owning gold will "attract" more gold or money to you was just to much for me. He is entitled to his point of view, but what happened to the guy with solid advice that is concrete and actionable. Cause this guy is totally out on the fringe without support.

Very repetitive
Some interesting perspectives were presented. However, if you have read Rich Dad Poor Dad, then this book repeats it for the most part. Many sections of this book are copied and pasted several times throughout and I feel that no attention has been paid in the editing, it is quite disapointing and I don't feel valued or respected as a reader.

Works for me.
So let me start with saying as the other reviews state the audiobook does repeat some things, the first half more than the second, but repetition is how we learn. Usually if I read or listen to audio I play it twice anyway. The content and value of this programme is brilliant I learnt a lot and have followed Roberts advice as best as my budget can. I can only assume the negative reviewers did not finish the audio and that is a shame as there are lots of golden nuggets in here that I can, have and will apply. Thanks Robert for more great story telling and information in such a fake time.

Very repetitive, no new content.
A new book from Kiyosaki with absolutely no new content, very repetitive. He makes a good point, but that point was made in previous books, if you've read any of his previous don't expect any new info in this book, like at all. Rehearsal of old material propped by upselling of Tom Wheelwrights book on Tax.
