Road rage, school shootings, workplace violence, domestic abuse, drug addiction, and even the national obesity epidemic are manifestations of an overarching problem gripping our society: anger. Other books about anger are on the market, but this is the first and only "diet" from anger: a practical, step-by-step 30-day program designed to help listeners cleanse their lives of the toxic effects of anger. As Dr. Shoshanna points out, "It is one thing to have an intellectual understanding of what is harmful. It is something else to know how to actually get rid of anger in your life."

Radio drama makes a come back!
What made the experience of listening to FIRST THREE FREE CHAPTERS: Amok the most enjoyable?
I am usually a purist and love to add background via my own imagination; additional sound effects, 2nd & 3rd person voices and dramatic music. The sample really gave me flashbacks of the radio dramas I used to listen to while on long drives. "Amok" seems like a creation that will be entertaining and FUN!
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
As any good series keep you hanging; "Tune in next week when we hear Jan say 'I think I left the stove on' ". This sample hints at numerous story lines. It brings you to the brink of a climax and then steps back to watch you wither.
What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The depth of a an audible drama, as opposed to a single voice.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Having only the sample to go by, an effective tagline may be difficult:" Explosions of Love, Mystery and Buildings.. just when you thought it was safe to breathe!"
Any additional comments?
For fans of radio dramas, this story seems to promise a great ride. I look forward to seeing it through.

This did nothing to make me want to listen to the whole thing. So, glad it was free. We have a woman who is planning her suicide and a guy who is going explode a bomb in a busy area. It ends before we find if they succeed and why they are doing what they are doing. I am not big in to Mysteries, so I found I did not care enough to buy the book.

Over Blown Pathetic Clap Trap - Bad Writing
The pretentious writing is annoying pathetic clap trap.
This writer is trying far too hard, leading to failure. This is what I expect an amateur to produce, not a writer who is expecting his intelligent paying audience to read.
I listened to the 15 minutes of Free Claptrap which went on like 5 hours of gut wrenching torture, feeling very sorry for my grey cells which were
begging me to 'Switch Off'. But I wanted to persevere to find out what all of the Over Blown Advertising was all about, when suddenly the ever so serious excited narrator; STOPPED rambling !! and all went Dead - Thank God. All it left me feeling was - NOTHING. Just glad it was over.
Why are we being advertised to death to Listen to and buy this Dreadful work ???
Now I can get on with my life and stop wondering any longer.
What a luxury this feels and I am so happy no to have fallen into the Advertisers Trap - I will keep my valuable Credits and my precious money.
I escaped yet more Brain Washing to buy Bad Work.

Yawn!
Thought this sounded really interesting, but as it is a drama, things happen that are not explained! For instance, in the second chapter the main character was doing something in her apartment. All you could hear was banging and crashing as things were moved - BUT nothing was explained on the narration other than "well she decided to do something else instead" What she was doing is a mystery to me!! Pointless!! Needs MUCH better narration to actually tell you what is going on!!

Dont let the sample guide you
I downloaded the sample because I like Adrian Lester & Peter Firth
the sample of 3 chapters was interesting introduced the characters and gave you a taste of the story.
so based on this I downloaded the whole book - a mistake I felt
the story is a little complicated, but is made more complicated by some of the narration - some voices are very similar and its hard to follow who is speaking sometimes
I wouldn't recommend this as an audible book - might be a good read in it physical form ??

Not for me
I was pleased to be able to try the first few chapters of this dramatisation, however I didn't enjoy this introduction, I felt that the story was 'all over the place', I do understand that the first chapters of a book have to lay down the scenes - but I found it very disjointed.
I also found the background 'explanatory' noises most annoying - I know what a phone ring sounds like!
This doesn't seem to be my type of thing, but thank you Audible for the opportunity to try it!
