perspective

It is quite fascinating to hear the perspective of several teachers of christianity from earlier times and to see how valid their words are today.

Good Selections

The authors & selections were great, but the narrator & the same music between every single entry was repetitive & not necessary. The best thing about this book, though, is the CONTENT once you look past the lackluster "production" value. The whole point of this book is GOD, not music or a voice you don't respond to. I LOVE the fact that someone even took the time to compile these great writings, though, because our sermons today are watered down and so subpar that we don't even learn anything from church anymore. This book encourages us to go back to the roots, internalize the scriptures & really use our brains to absorb and think about what they mean.

brilliant

This is an amazing devotional stylebook. Probably the best one I've ever read. I love the nod to all the reformed theologians I know stand on their shoulders.

Wonderful Truths for Meditation

I put this on while falling asleep and every time I woke up throughout the night I caught something wonderful from the Faith of Our Fathers. The separate readings are the perfect length for a daily devotional to coincide with Bible Study and prayer.

Doesn't work as an audiobook, but good content

The content of this audiobook is good, and taken individually there is a lot of useful food for thought in each of the individual sections, but I must admit I really struggled to get through this. I think I would have got a lot more from it in printed book format - because each section was only five(ish) minutes long, if I was distracted for a minute I'd missed a significant amount of the section.
