Story
My mate lies in a rotting cage at the bottom of the sea, and I'll do anything to get him back. Maybe he's the devil himself, but he made the ultimate sacrifice for me. When my plan backfires, I'm left with a lethal hex surging in my veins. Now, I have only a few days to live. And Salem? He's wrestling with a dark curse of his own, one that he says makes him burn. He keeps saying this ends with one of us dead, that our story is a tragedy. But I'm determined to rewrite the tale fate has penned for us.

Story
My heart hasn't beat in a 1,000 years. I haven't uttered a word in prison, and the guards keep their distance. If they get too close, they die - until at last, my magic binds my soul to another. Unfortunately, the person destined to save me is a night elf - the enemy of my kind. And yet, when I see her in the cell across from mine, an ember starts to burn in my chest.

Story
A girls' night out means three things to me: drinking whiskey with my best friend, trying not to kill anyone, and keeping my magic hidden. A fae gladiator like me isn’t supposed to exist anymore. But my Friday night takes a bad turn when a lethally gorgeous fae - Ruadan - tries to assassinate me. He's known as the Wraith, and he's taken a vow of silence until he’s slaughtered the outlaws on his kill list. Outlaws like me. Ruadan lets me live on one condition: I have to earn my place at the Institute of the Shadow Fae.

Story
The angel of death locked me in one of his castle rooms, surrounded by books and delicious food. Not bad, right? Except for the loneliness, and the lust-fueled dreams that torment me every night - specifically dreams of Samael. And did I mention a psychotic ghost keeps trying to kill me? Because no one else believes me about that. Now, I’m desperate to get out of the castle and hunt down the murderous Free Men who led to my imprisonment. Samael wants to destroy them too. We have the same goal but don't trust each other.

Story
I thought this would be a simple profiling case. Just another Jack the Ripper wannabe, prowling London’s streets, searching for easy kills. I was wrong. This killer is fae, and he’s as elusive as smoke on the wind. But I’m an FBI profiler, and it’s my job to track him down. It doesn’t matter that one of the main suspects - a lethally alluring fae - is trying to seduce me...or kill me, I’m not sure which. I won’t be stopped, not even when panic roils through the streets of London or when the police start to suspect me.

Orphaned. Trained to fight. Raised to fear the power of Underhill. Secretly in love with a man who doesn’t want me. I’m still just Alli, a.k.a. the half-human orphan fae, but my life is looking up for the first time. It only took me my whole 24 years. But when Underhill - the ancestral home of the fae - shatters, making it impossible for any fae to enter, I’m the only one who knows who did it. A secret that will be the death of me if I do nothing.

It’s been 18 months since the angels of the apocalypse ripped our world apart. Before, I was a burlesque dancer, decked in sequins and feathers at the hippest clubs. Now, I live in an abandoned hospital in East London, scavenging for scraps. At least, until I get the chance to fight back against the disturbingly seductive angels. In fact, I’m going undercover as a spy in their castle. I have two goals: learn their weaknesses, and find my missing sister.

When Pestilence comes for Sara Burn’s town, one thing is certain: everyone she knows and loves is marked for death. Unless, of course, the angelic-looking horseman is stopped, which is exactly what Sara has in mind when she shoots the unholy beast off his steed. Too bad no one told her Pestilence can’t be killed. Now the horseman, very much alive and very pissed off, has taken her prisoner, and he’s eager to make her suffer. Only, the longer she’s with him, the more uncertain she is about his true feelings towards her, and hers towards him. And now, well, Sara might still be able to save the world, but in order to do so, she'll have to sacrifice her heart in the process.

I've been kidnapped by Zeus. Plucked from the streets of Manhattan and frightened half to death by a freaking Olympian god. And now I'm trapped in the Underworld, being forced to compete in a series of deadly trials for the position of Queen of the Underworld. Which would mean marrying Hades, the utterly terrifying Lord of the Dead. Who the hell wants a husband at all, let alone one made of smoke and riddled with death?

Story
Fae exist only in children’s stories, or so I thought. That was before a nightmarish creature of the Fae Realm dropped into my life. He claimed a seven-pointed mark on my skin signified my magical lineage, the bit of DNA my mother passed down. Days after I arrive in the Fae Realm, I’m thrown into a series of trials titled ‘The Devotion’. I must compete with demons, vampires, elves and more who want to claim their place at the future King’s side. I have no interest in this guy, but it doesn’t help that the King-to-be is a gorgeous, brooding fae.

Torin, the leader’s son, drags me back before my first shift...a shift that will reveal my true mate. I never could have predicted who mine would be, but the moment my wolf looks upon him, I’m filled with hope for a brighter future.

Publisher's Summary
Life in a fae castle should be pretty sweet - except my lover wants to take my magic from me and I made a deal with the devil...literally.
Salem is the light-bringer, gorgeous as sin and just as evil. Some call him Lucifer. What do I call him? Whatever he tells me to, because he's cast a mind-control spell over me. He hates me, but I have a plan. I'll lead him to a sorcerer who can kill him.
But as I journey with the fallen god, I see him watching me, wanting me. And it's mutual. Turns out fate has a sick sense of humor because my destiny ties me to Salem. Still, I have to stop him before he gets what he wants. Because if I fail, he will unleash hell on earth.

WOW
I really really enjoyed this audiobook from beginning to the end and yes you are left with a cliffhanger. Anyways, the story and characters are very well written. I love the world the author created. This is a must get and I can’t wait until the next and book of the trilogy is available. Narrator did a great job as well.

So Salem isn't ALL bad . . . And Lyr is ANNOYING!

So Salem is Aenor's mate! Lyr is determined to make her life miserable in the name of saving the world and they both want her, despite what they tell themselves or her. Aenor sure as hell got her work cut out for her.
I liked this better than book 1. I just hope book 3 isn't a disappointment.

Even Better than Book 1
Great writing! I love the bad guy-SPOILER-Lucifer aka Salom. I love Anor. I am disliking Lyr and believe that dislike will grow in the book 3; last book because this is a trilogy. Which I like since it won't drag out story thru books 4, 5....etc.
This book moves a bit faster than book 1. The love between the main characters was a little sudden (unbelievable) at the end. Though the author kept pulling them together, to me it felt forced because SPOILER-of the mating bond. Its definitely one sided love-until the end.
Narrator is so good. This book is divided into points of view chapters and she did a wonderful job of switching voices. Lyr and Salom are very hard to tell apart because voice tone is so similar, but they are never in a scene together so it wasn't confusing (and that could just be my old ears; not the narrator).
Starting book 3 without haste. This is a series you will enjoy if you like Maria V Synder's Poison Study series or Sarah Maas' series. Stories of YAs that is well written!

Yuuuup
Female protagonist needs more understanding or depth. Hoping that’s revealed and expanded upon more in the 3rd book. Lyr is interesting, so is Eanor, but Salem did it for me. Awesome character expansion on that end. Hope it goes deeper. P.S. Lyr is an a**...

Confused???
What the hell was that epilogue I’m totally and completely confused it makes the protagonist come off as unlikeable if she is plotting against her mate. What actually happened
