Hold on for a Wild Ride!
Tigner has written another Kyle Achilles winner with Falling Stars. Ivan the ghost is back and he has his hands into something new. He's gotten involved with a company that manufactures drones. The difference between these and other drones is this one is capable of lifting about 200 lbs. it has a remote claw that wraps around a person's torso and a taser if they struggle. The idea is to "kidnap" wealthy people a hold them for ransom about a mile high for about 10 minutes while the spouse gets on the computer and does a quick and large money transfer. If they refuse the victim gets dropped. Ivan tests it out first on Kyle's former partner Jo but she was able to escape. After Kyle is set up for murder by yet another weaponized drone he and Jo join forces to find out who is responsible. Tigner writes a fast paced book with plenty of action. This book doesn't have a dull moment.
Dick Hill does an excellent job narrating.
This book is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

5 star espionage thriller!
The Kyle Achilles series is perfect for adrenaline junkies. Like The Lies of Spies before it Falling Stars has a very creative plot that includes extreme suspense. Author Tim Tigner has become a force in suspense novel world in a relatively brief period of time. The perfect narration of Dick Hill only adds to the quality of Tigner's novels. Very highly recommended, but start the series with thee Chasing Ivan novella.

A superb Tim Tigner novel read by Dick Hill
Since I am old school, the use of drones to me is fascinating. The entire story is about the weaponized use of drones and how easily it is accomplished. What an incredible adventure for Kyle and Jo. ( Katya, while briefly mentioned, play an important but very minor part this time.) I really enjoy the interaction between the characters. Ivan the Ghost, Kyle’s nemesis and “master planner and manipulator of all things,” reappears in this story (the bad guy in Book 1 - Chasing Ivan). I really enjoy these exciting chase stories. Due to the incredible capability of drones, this is a real nail-biter since you actually realize that law enforcement has only a minimal ability to counteract a situation when a drone is used for evil purposes. This story is again perfectly read by Dick Hill. As will all of the other Tim Tigner novels, Mr. Hill is able to perform the various character parts expertly. The variety of the accents and the cadence of the different character's speech patterns is fascinating when performed by one person. You feel you are actually with them in the story.

Outstanding! This series keeps getting better.
So many popular authors seem to be "phoning in" their books these days. Having captured us with crackling plots and compelling characters in their first few novels, they get by with very average followups.
Tigner, in stark contrast, just gets better and better.
Pushing Brilliance was Great! The Lies of Spies Greater still. And Falling Stars is the Greatest!
It's the innovations in his intricate plots and the way he weaves them into delightfully surprising stories that I find so impressive. I don't want to give those away here, but trust me, by the end of Falling Stars you'll be wondering why you didn't think of that, and when it's going to happen for real.

Achilles is my hero
I loved this book and think listening to this book means Tim Tigner might have a new fan, as my mum got hooked on the story as well. This is definitely a book you will be listening to again. The story has so much going on and is most definitely a very unusual plot. I often wonder where authors come up with their plot ideas but with this plot Tim is out of this world and I can't wait to start the next book. I found it fascinating the way the two main characters spend the whole book trying to out think each other with varying degrees of success.
Achilles is set up for murder, on the run he finds help in the form of a previous partner. One someone very recently tried to kill and there is only one person they both have in common, The ghost. This time the Ghost is using technology to milk millions out of his victims in a very public way. People afraid of who will be the next victim to the drone called the claw they are willing to pay big money to stay alive but in the process they are adding money to the ghosts personal bank account and he intends to put the money to good use. Can Achillies and Jo finally get one step ahead of the ghost and unmask the deadly Russian? Or will he and his henchmen have there perfect record of never being beaten stay in tack?
I like Dick Hill as a narrator his voice is so easily recognize that it is like having an old friend in your home.
This is a must listen to book for anyone that likes audio books.
