Story
The life of Jesus offers each one of us a map to the direct realization of our eternal and divine nature. On Resurrecting Jesus, Adyashanti excavates the deep, mythic underpinnings of the Gospels to show how we can all find in the story of Jesus the spark for our own spiritual unfolding. Jesus crossed all of the boundary lines that separated the people of his time because he viewed the world from the perspective of what unites us, not what divides us.

"So many of us hold a deep belief that we were born unworthy," reflects Adyashanti, "inadequate, unlovable, and alone." But what if, in truth, we weren't put here to pay penance, change our karma, or "fix" ourselves? What if we chose to be here because we so loved the world that we poured ourselves into it - to make it whole again, to restore "the hidden divinity amid the disaster"? With Healing the Core Wound of Unworthiness, we're invited to entertain that possibility.

From the introduction, by Jesus, "What I have come to teach now is that you can embody love, as I did. You can become Christ within this human life and learn to embody all that is good within you. I came to show you the beauty of your own soul and what is possible as a human. I came to show you that it is possible to be both human and divine, to be love incarnate. You are equally both. Story
In this book of key spiritual teachings from unpublished discourses, the great Advaita Master, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, teaches us that we are not limited to the body. Because of our mistaken body identity, we feel separate from what we truly are. Our identification with the body and mind subjects us to endless cycles of pleasure and pain, desire and fear, which cause us to search beyond ourselves for that which we believe we lack.

Humanity now, perhaps more than in any previous time, has an opportunity to create a new, saner, more loving world. This will involve a radical inner leap from the current egoic consciousness to an entirely new one. In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

The great human quest is to discover who we really are-a discovery that changes our lives and the lives of those around us. With The Deep Heart, spiritual teacher and psychotherapist Dr. John J. Prendergast invites us on a pilgrimage within. The "deep heart" is Prendergast's term for our heart center-a subtle center of emotional and energetic sensitivity, relational intimacy, profound inner knowing, and unconditional love. "The heart area is where we feel most deeply touched by kindness, gratitude, and appreciation, yet it is also where we feel most emotionally wounded".

Publisher's Summary
Adyashanti asks us to let go of our struggles with life and open to the full promise of spiritual awakening: the end of delusion and the discovery and expression of our essential being. After 15 years as a spiritual teacher, Adyashanti has found that the simpler the teaching, the greater its power to initiate this awakening.
On Falling into Grace, he shares what he considers fundamental insights to "open ourselves to that mysterious element that enters in the hidden and quiet moments and sparks a revolution in the way that we perceive life." Wherever you may be on your own spiritual path, you will find in these sessions down-to-earth guidance on breaking the trance of ego, experiencing the raw energy of emotion, cultivating inner stability, transcending the world of opposites, and more.
In the same way that we fall into the arms of a loved one or drop our heads on the pillow at night, we can surrender into the beauty and truth of who and what we really are. Falling into Grace is a program that gets to the core of why we suffer, and allows us to explore Adyashanti's invitation "to be taken by a moment of grace and fall into a sense of life when it is not separate from you, when life is actually an expression of something indefinable, mysterious, and immense."
Highlights:
- The human dilemma - the concept of a separate self and the choice to stop believing the thoughts that perpetuate suffering
- “Taking the backward step” into the pure potential of the present moment
- Why spiritual awakening can be a disturbing process
- Intimacy and availability - feeling absolute union with every part of our experience
- True autonomy - the unique expression of our own sense of freedom

Very spiritual and helpful
This book really helped me with acceptance of "what is".. Even when "what is" seems unfair and horrible, it's part of reality and it helped me learn to be more accepting snd happy regardless of what may have happened in the past or whatever may happen in the future.

Soul Food
After reading one of Adyashanti's books, I immediately used an audible credit to listen to this book. Adyashanti has a soothing voice and comes across being quite genuine and vulnerable with his message. I'm new to this type of spiritual thought, but I sought it out after having a sudden, mind opening experience that I could only call "enlightenment". Adyashanti's work is among the very few that I could find touching on this subject. His work doesn't simply feed the ego some spiritual promise or fraudulent riff raff which is rampant in spiritual self help books, no. His works are quite grounding and tell you about his own accounts with enlightenment and losing one's ego. The process is very gradual and humbling. Listening to him is like having a personal guide or friend who can help you see some contentment in where you're at right now. I think the focus of this text was humbling experiences that lead to the conclusions of spiritual enlightenment, sort of letting go of expectations and wants and just embracing what is. Overall, I would suggest this to anyone who is interested in personal development on the spiritual side.

Such a sleeper
Would you try another book from Adyashanti and/or Adyashanti?
I've seen Adyashanti interviewed, and I really enjoyed his interviews. Him as a narrator just wasn't ideal. No enthusiasm, just really a sleeper. I just could NOT get into this--and I am very into the material itself, but the narration just didn't work for me. Perhaps I'll have to buy the book and read it instead.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I couldn't pay attention because his vocal inflection was just not there.

Listen to this before anything else
Would you listen to Falling into Grace again? Why?
Adyashanti has a wonderful way of describing things that can't be understood by the ego and logical mind. His voice is soothing and peaceful. This book covers everything. I gained more insights into my existence from listening to this than the hours reading or listening to other books on 'awakening' and spirituality.
What did you like best about this story?
All of it.
Any additional comments?
Listen. From a place of no-mind. Accept it. Let it be. Peace and love.

Peace
Adyashanti speaks with such honesty. His communication style is soft and transparent. My nervous system felt more balanced with each passing chapter...I truly felt I was hearing and feeling the truth. It's an incredible blessing to have found his teachings.

awakening, enlivening, releasing, space opening
this book was recommended to me by another author and i recommend to others, the path to enlightenment, the beauty within, peace and harmony through the practice and being and mentality of grace, forgiving loving & releasing the ego self (suffering) and renewing the spirit essence within, expanding presence. loved! will listen again
