Publisher's Summary

Detective Erika Foster is back in Fatal Witness–with a chilling new serial-killer case in Robert Bryndza's multimillion best-selling crime-thriller series!

How do you find a killer who has destroyed all the evidence?

Detective Erika Foster is on a late-night walk near her new house in Blackheath when she stumbles upon the brutal murder of Vicky Clarke, a true-crime podcaster.

Erika is assigned to the case and discovers that Vicky had been working on a new podcast episode about a sexual predator who preys on young female students around South London, staking out his victims in their halls of residence before breaking in at the dead of night.

When Erika discovers that Vicky's notes and sound recordings were stolen from her flat at the time of her murder, it leads her to believe that Vicky was close to unmasking the attacker, and she was killed to guarantee her silence.

The case takes on a disturbing twist when the body of a young Bulgarian student doctor is discovered in the same building, and this makes Erika question everything she thought she knew about Vicky. With very little evidence, the clock is ticking to find the killer before he strikes again.

Love this latest Erika Foster installment!

Bryndza delivered yet another banger with Fatal Witness. It's paced a little more slowly than others in this series, but I think it fits the mood of the events happening in the characters' personal lives. Jan Cramer's performance is, of course, as terrific as always. I'm going to go right back in and listen to it again!

Erika should be fired

That Erika can be taken in so often it appears she is pretty stupid. Why for once would she go to see people involved in a serious crime alone is proof she should be fired for incompetence

Erika Foster is Back

Missed Erika Foster and crew ,good to have them back and nice for something or someone good to happen to Erika. But I don't believe for one minute that a smart and savvy detective like Erika would confront a known murderer with such reckless abandon in front of a civilian with absolutely no way of protecting herself or the civilian. I think Erika is smarter than that.

Love Shot and George

I get a lot of.KINDLE UNLIMITED .and add Audible I listen so much I'm hard to please and often disappointed. This is one series I can count on being good.. It has interesting plots and characters. Just enough about personal lives to add an emotional touch without too much. Kindle unlimited. is a great service .Some times books aren't any good bug often better than ones you pay a fortune for only to disappointed Hope to see more of Shot and George in the future.

Good series but not the best installment.

If you can get over the narration, this is a pretty good series. Cramer is just not a good pick for these in my opinion. Her accents are strange, although they do allow you to differentiate between characters. But sometimes she just sounds hysterical, which can be unintentionally funny. Sometimes her bad narration overshadows the action.

Another Winner

I thoroughly enjoy this series with Erica Foster. I like the interaction with her team and trying to help figure out the real killer! This case is very intriguing and the whole experience is made even more enjoyable by the incredible awesome Jan Cramer! Definitely the best narrator of all times.. I’m excited that there may be a new person now in Erica‘s life! Cannot wait for the next chapter in this series! Thank you Robert Bryndza🥰. From a happy fan in Tennessee.

A little disappointing

I don’t know why, but I found the narrator more irritating that the previous books in this series. The Scottish accent in particular, was very strange!

The story was a little long winded and parts of it / some characters just came to an end without adequate explanation. In general this made the book a bit difficult to listen to and made the ending feel quite abrupt. As per other reviews, the story was fairly easy to guess, so it wasn’t particularly captivating from that perspective either.

Love the series and the author. However I did not feel this book stood up to the previous books. That said I would not be put off reading the next in the series.

Excellent addition to series

This is an excellent series with plausible plot lines, well drawn characters, some likeable, some not. If you like character driven police procedurals, this is a good series to follow. I’m looking forward to the next episode already.

Loved this one

This was one hell of story, it starts out with a massive confusion and just goes from there, Very convoluted and the only hint of the killer is near the end, Very good, loved it. Jan Cramer's narration was enjoyable as always.

Disappointed

I have loved all of Robert’s previous books and was really excited to start this one. However, it is nowhere near the class of the other books. It’s long winded and boring and by the end I really couldn’t care less who did it, although it didn’t take a genius to work it out
Need to up your game next book I’m afraid

Erika Forster’s return is welcomed

It was good after a four years absence to have this character back . I enjoyed the storyline and everything would have had five stars apart from the narrator having the worst Scottish accent ever for one of the characters it was truly awful! A cross between the Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and the over accented use of the word murder as if from an episode of Taggart made me cringe beware other Scottish listeners .

Great series of books

This is a great series of books, excellently written, and brilliantly narrated. I advise starting with 'The Girl in the Ice' , and enjoying getting to know the characters, and their backgrounds. Love this author, and look forward to the next chapter in the Erika Foster series.

Another winner!!

I couldn’t wait to start this book as I’ve read/listened to all of Bryndza’s books and throughly enjoyed each one.

This was a brilliant comeback for DCI Erika Foster and the team. It had everything, drama, suspense, a little comedy and of course another tough case to crack.

I finished this in one day, I couldn’t stop once I had started. Robert Bryndza is such an amazing crime writer and I adore all of his work. I highly recommend this book to everyone!!
