Publisher's Summary

Karol Truman provides a comprehensive and enlightening resource for getting in touch with unresolved feelings which, she explains, can distort not only happiness but also health and well-being. Leaving no emotion unnamed, and in fact listing around 750 labels for feelings, Truman helps identify problem areas, and offers a "script" to help process the feelings, replacing the negative feeling with a new, positive outlook. A chapter on the possible emotions below the surface in various physical ailments gives the listener plenty to work with on a deep healing level. Feelings Buried Alive Never Die combines a supportive, common-sense, results-oriented approach to a problem that is widespread and that can stop people from living fully.

Great book. Painful to listen to.

I almost always listen to the sample before I buy audio books. Now I am woefully sad that I didn't this time. I refused to listen past the 2nd chapter. I tried changing the speed, and although regular speed was better, Paul's inflections were on all the wrong words. It literally sounds like I highlighted the book and let my laptop read it. I found our that I could get a copy from the library read by the author. Thank you! So much better!

Abysmal Narration

I have been trying to persevere through this book because it’s a good message. HOWEVER, the computerized voice is something I can’t get used to. I really don’t understand how this narration was accepted. I hope audible and the author recognize this.

Book content exceptional, but narrater difficult to follow

This is an outstanding book with incredible insight into the mind and body. Unfortunately, the narration leaves much to be desired. Narrator has a habit of pausing in the middle of sentences, thus making it hard to comprehend what is meant. Also, several words mispronounced. Not trying to be nit picky, but it is distracting from the book’s content.

Returned after Chapter 1

I could hardly make it through chapter 1 STRICTLY DUE TO THE NARRATOR... I went to a local book store and got a hard copy.

Wonderful information! Everyone should know this!

It is a great book and I recommend it to Everyone! The narrator was really hard to listen to. Very choppy sounding. The only reason I kept listening was because the information is so good. It is also weird listening to a book read by a man that has a woman author.

The cadence is distractingly off

I really like the content and I love the readers creamy voice.... however the rhythm in which he reads is so mechanical and you lose the meaning. For example:

“Angry feelings are not in agreement with the body “

Is read like
“ANGRy. FEELINGS are NOT. In AGREEMENT With. The BODY...”

Or the sentence

“He does well faced with the adversity. “
Is read
He DOES well FACED. . WITH the ADVERSITY

It’s maddening!! It’s like someone is reading disjointed foreign words, but doesn’t realize what they mean.

Great book, poor narration

I’ve heard nothing but good things about this book and decided to give it a listen. I’ve been unable to get past the narration (which I don’t expect to be wildly exciting in a book like this) and am returning it in favor of a paper copy. The pauses and intonations were distracting, and I found myself having difficulty following the content because of it.

Great book; poor narrator

This book really helps you get to the root of an issue or negative experience you may be having. I really think “The Script” is an extremely useful tool. I’ve been exposed to other healing modalities (tapping, Reiki, The Emotion Code, etc.), but I have found that “The Script” is able to better access both hemispheres of the brain (the analytical mind & the emotional mind) where other healing modalities don’t as much. You get to be the Master Healer of yourself and not become dependent on another healer. With the app on my phone, I can easily access “the script” no matter where I am or what I am doing & can say the words discretely in my mind.

With the above said, the only negative was the narrator. He made many pronunciation errors of certain words or put emphasis on the incorrect syllables. It was a bit distracting at first, but you get used to it. I’d love for Audible to get the author to narrate her own book herself. I would have MUCH preferred that because she would know exactly where to put the emphasis in her words.

I have a paperback copy of the book & sometimes read the text along with the narrator. I found that particularly helpful because you can underline or highlight places you feel are very important or that apply to your situation directly.

Also, get the “Healing Feelings” app from your App Store & download it onto your phone. You almost always have your phone with you so you can access it anytime anywhere. It has “The Script” on it as well as a list of hundreds of physical ailments that have typically been linked to certain emotions that are buried down deep inside you that may be causing your physical manifestations of illness.

Good

I liked the information, but the narration was unnatural, so, as long as you can look past the mispronunciation of some words, and just focus on the meaning and application of those words, you’ll have a good experience. I like how the author was trying to make the world a better place by helping people to address their feelings, and turn negative feelings into positive feelings, and thus gain more control over their lives.

The book is fab but the reading is terrible🙈

Really love the book but had to buy a copy to read as the robotic voice was too much to deal with 🙈
