Story
I’m in love with my best friend. Lie. I’m in love with my enemy. Truth. But they’re the same. They. Are. The. Same. Lines in my world are blurry between fantasy and reality. Truth and lies. Love and hate. Copeland Justice is my enemy. My once best friend. The sadist in my heart plucking and pulling at every thread of who I am until I’m unraveled at his feet. His mouth says he hates me. His eyes burn with animosity for me. His heart beats for someone else. But Copeland Justice is the best liar of us all.

Story
As a pro athlete, I’ve spent my life playing by rules, on and off the field. Especially this one - don’t date another baseball player. Following that ironclad rule has been as easy for me as hitting a lazy pop fly on a summer afternoon. Especially since I’ve got far too much trouble in my past to want to bring any into my present. Until the day a hotshot rookie walks into my locker room.

In my defense, I was left alone with a bottle of single-malt and a lifelong penchant for protecting my baby sister. Still, that's no excuse to send 10 drunk-texts on why her hasty marriage would be a mistake. If only I had just texted my sister. But nope. I accidentally sent the message to her, her groom, and his super hot wingman. I also used the phrase “super hot wingman”, so I’d like to die now.

Story
When you’re the sheriff of Brigs Ferry Bay, certain things are expected of you. Marry a local girl, settle down, have a few kids. You know, the small-town dream. But I’ve got a secret I’m terrified will get out. I’m gay. Not bi. Not curious. Not confused. Just gay. So, settling for that dream won’t be happening. If this secret gets out, the people I serve and protect, especially my father, won’t be accepting.

Story
When I left that night, I had every intention of coming back to you. To us. But no matter how hard I wish for what I want, there are some things in life that aren't meant to be. I don't expect you to understand. You've already moved on, living your life. But mine ended that night, nine years ago, and I still can't let you go. Not sure I ever will. I regret so many things, but hurting you, I'll never forgive myself. I'm sorry for...everything.

Story
I've been in love with my best friend since forever. Okay, fine. Like, kindergarten. It started out platonic, obviously, but then became.... Nope. Still platonic. The problem is that Parker Ellis has been straight since forever. And that makes it difficult to convince him that the two of us are meant to be together. And now, there's no point. All is lost. He's gone and gotten engaged to his high-school sweetheart - which means I have to grin and bear it, while pretending to be the happy, supportive best man, while he prepares to commit his life to a woman.

My new stepbrother is insufferable. You'd think it wouldn't matter since I won't be here for long, but this guy gets under my skin like no one ever has. All-American, baby-faced, blue-eyed band dork and star soccer player. Everything about him is the picture of perfection—unlike me. I don't think Do Gooder knows I'm starting senior year late. And he definitely doesn't know why. I've got secrets I'm taking with me to the grave.

It started out as a little fun. When there was a man in my building on a hookup app, why not message him? Only we didn’t meet. We just texted - one night after the other, after the other. GoodWithHisHands was the perfect escape from my life, where pressure was always on my shoulders: my father’s expectations, the worry about my sister, Maddy, getting sick again, and her ex-husband, Ryder Lynwood, suddenly back and volunteering at the same hospital as me. I like talking to him, the same way I enjoy chatting with GoodWithHisHands. They weren’t supposed to be the same person.

I couldn’t tell you when I fell in love with Gael Herrera, but I wish I knew how to make it stop. Falling in love with a straight man is a rookie mistake. But falling in love with my soon-to-be-married-to-a-woman best friend is nothing but heartache. Through all the years, and all the men I’ve fooled around with, he’s always been at the back of my mind. An unrequited crush I wish I could shake. A dream that was never going to come true. When I whisk him off to a surprise bachelor party weekend in Vegas, I surrender to the idea that this is an opportunity for me to finally let go.

When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game. I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids. My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all. He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known. We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens. That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

"Look out for Zach, and don't hit on him." My brother's request sounds easy enough. Keep an eye out for his best friend on campus and keep my hands to myself. Easy. Even if Zach is a quintessential nerd, who I've always thought was cute, I don't have the time to think with my...stick. There's only one stick I should be focused on this year, and that's my hockey stick. My goal once I graduate is to get an NHL contract. The last thing I need is a distraction. On or off the ice. Sometimes love is where you least expect it, and sometimes it's right where you left it in this witty, slow burn-to-steamy friends-to-lovers MM romance. Widower, Max Hartwell, is barely keeping it together, being a single dad, managing his law firm, and navigating life's chaos. Life after loss is too difficult for surprises, which is why Max would be lost without his reliable best friend and neighbor, Jack.

Publisher's Summary
From USA Today best-selling author K Webster comes an angsty and emotional enemies-to-lovers gay romance stand-alone!
The hatred began when my father proposed to another man in a shocking moment that rocked my family to its core….
Now I’m on a quest for revenge against my father.
That means hitting him where it hurts - the new fiancé and the son he thinks so much of.
Alister Sommers.
Alis is a bleached-blond perfectionist thorn in my side, who’s used to everything going his way. Grades, money, track - he dominates it all despite his short, insignificant frame.
Was one dad not good enough that Alis had to take mine, too?
Soon, we’ll be stepbrothers.
Until then, I vow to make his life a living hell.
Maybe Dad will regret his terrible mistakes.
Maybe he won’t.
I know I won’t regret wrecking their lives like they did mine.
I’ll give up everything, even my girlfriend and football, if it means I get a chance for retribution.
It’s reckless and risky, but I don’t have much to lose.
The havoc I wreak might ease some of the pain Dad caused my mother.
I’m willing to give it a shot.
What starts as a family feud will become a war…one I plan on winning no matter the cost.
There’s only one small problem.
I may have underestimated my opponent.

Step Brother Romance with some Triggers
Since this title seemed to require it, my review is longer than is usual. I’ve divided it into sections. Please feel free to skip over any sections that you care to.
Trigger Warning: One of the main characters suffered traumatic levels of neglect and abuse as a child. Even after years of living in a loving adoptive home, he’s still damaged, with frequent bouts of zero self-esteem and abandonment issues. The tale also depicts several nightmarishly harrowing flashbacks.
M/M Romance: Watching sworn enemies Canyon and Alister fencing for position and seeing both of them come to better understand facets of each other’s character makes this a mesmerizing tale. As Canyon starts to recognize homoerotic feelings amidst his flood of resentment for his soon-to- be step-brother, the story becomes even more fascinating. Both boys are nearing adulthood. They are pretty much equal as to the power dynamic in the relationship. For me, those two factors pretty much eliminate any “ick” factor regarding the fact that these boys are romantically involved despite being destined to be step-brothers.
Audiobook Presentation: As to the audiobook factors here, both voice actors are great. Teddy Hamilton has cocky young voice that perfectly fits the athletic and hot-headed Canyon. Meanwhile Greg Boudreaux’s voice has a more overly-cerebral quality as though he’s continually analyzing everything and just barely keeping it together. Also, Boudreaux’s interpretation of the panic stricken pre-teen Alis that we hear whenever Alis has a severe panic attacks is truly heartbreaking.
Flashbacks: Though the flashback/panic attack episodes in this tale are incredibly powerful, part of me wishes that they could have been left out, or toned down in some way. Experiencing them, and understanding the horrifying recollections that plague Alister’s dreams, explains his inability to trust even his own adoptive father. At the same time, its some of the saddest writing I’ve ever encountered. The back-seat author in me wants to believe that the friends to enemies story arc and these boys’ chemistry might well have been enough to carry this tale. Perhaps even a post adoption flashback scene showing Alis somehow getting a wrong-headed impression about just how much his adoptive father loves him.
Plausibility Issues: At several points in this tale I was pulled out the story by developments that I just found hard to swallow. Reader’s should give an author some latitude to tell that they wish to tell but some plot developments (both minor and major) can make that difficult.
Perhaps the easiest such gaff to dismiss was the boys’ Florida school team the silly name, Blood Gators. I’ve lived in Florida on and off since ’79 and have never heard anything called that. While it’s trivial, every time I heard the term I was momentarily pulled out of the story.
Less trivial was Alis’s inability to talk to his father about his concerns. Early on, we never see enough to understand his fears. I ended up having to “chalk it up” to his early pre-adoption parental abuse. Even with that excuse, I almost ran out of chalk (and patience).
Next there was the over-reliance on the teen-male libido. If the boys were as fearful of discovery as they both repeatedly say that they are, then there would have been fewer sex scenes. I’m not against sex, and I enjoyed the frequent encounters here, but after a while it seemed ridiculous for the boys to be engaging in risky behaviors after just telling us how fearful they were of discovery.
Finally, there’s the whole scenario toward the end where Alis is sort of re-absorbed into his bio-dad’s business. That level of immersion without any overt suspicions or carefulness seemed laughably naive. If I hadn’t already been so emotionally invested in the main tale by that point, I would have dismissed this book for that alone.
Final Opinion: Overall, this was a sweet enjoyable romance, and an erotically satisfying story. Once one gets past the plausibility issues (maybe just hum to yourself while listening to those parts) the rest of the audiobook is very enjoyable. I enjoyed spending time with the charming boys in the tale, and for the most part, their friends and family. Sometimes people (even fictional ones) are worth the frustration they put you through.
*** Note: This is a fair and unbiased review but in the spirit of full disclosure I received a free copy of this title ***

Good story. Great narration.
This story was actually an enemies to lovers trope that I believed. Too many times authors create characters that are slightly antagonistic, and then label them enemies. Canyon and Alister have good reasons to be enemies and equally believable reasons for that to change.
I enjoyed most of the story until the characters started to act out of character. Alister has survived some very difficult moments in his life, and I can understand his insecurities, but... The author sacrificed his strength of character to further a convoluted plot.
Aside from a collection of really bad parenting moments and Alister's out of character moment, I enjoyed the story. I had to force my suspension if disbelief for certain plot points, but I enjoyed reading about Alister and Canyon getting to know one another. The story wrapped up nicely so I am inclined to recommend this story for anyone looking for an enemies to lovers romance that has a good bit of angst.
The narrators gave a wonderful performance, and I hope these two team up again.

5 Reckless Stars!!!
YA books aren't exactly my go-to read, however, I've been loving K Webster's MM books lately and I was very drawn to the blurb for Feuds and Reckless Fury, so I decided to give it a try and I'm very happy I did.
I really liked Alis, my heart broke by how difficult it was for him to accept that he had a place in his adoptive father's home, which all things considered, was understandable. His panic attacks and his fear of mice (totally there with him, btw) were so poignant and relatable, I just wanted to give him a huge hug and make things better for him. Much as I liked Alis, my favorite was Canyon, though. His character's growth throughout the book was outstanding and I fell for him and how protective and caring he was with those he loved. I adored them together, they had insane chemistry, but it was the cuddling and the being there for each other that made me love them even more.
At first, I thought this book was going to be darker than it was, but I was pleasantly surprised that while it was angsty and there were so many things happening, there was always that glimmer of hope that things would turn out okay, which is what I look forward when I read books like this one. K Webster managed to make me care for Alis and Canyon, for their parents, for Carrie and Naomi, even for Canyon's mother, who I was on the fence about during most of the book. I even found myself crying during certain scenes, so keep that in mind. It was an emotional, sweet, steamy, angsty read, with lots of twists and turns and a lot of heart that I can't recommend enough.
Also, while I got an ARC of the book, I bought the audio version since it was out already and I couldn't resist Teddy Hamilton and Greg Boudreaux narrating together. They did a fantastic job bringing Canyon and Alis to life for me, ramping up the angst, the animosity, and later the emotional connection these two boys found in each other.

I primarily bought this book because I enjoy Teddy Hamilton’s work…thank God for him…I hung on to the bitter end because of him. I usually will stay with a book even if I have some issues with it. There were so many things that made my eyes roll. In general some of the issues I had with repetition/overuse of things. The issue with the mice…I know people have triggers and they’re real…here though it felt a boi of overkill to me. The criminal “pops” sounded so incredulous to me…especially at the end when it sounded as if no one had a problem treating him as an equivalent to a traveling salesman…he’s a major drug dealer for God’s sake…eyeroll

Loved it!
I absolutely loved this story by K. Webster. I've enjoyed many of her MM romance books, with my favorite being Wicked Lies Boys Tell, so learning that Teddy Hamilton would be playing one of the characters, I couldn't wait for release day.
I knew from the minute narrator Teddy Hamilton began speaking that I would love his character, Canyon. Canyon is broody, bitter, and conniving. Hell-bent on making his father's new fiance pay for the destruction of the family he left behind. Narrator Greg Boudreaux was new to me, and he did an excellent job portraying Alister. Alister is an intelligent straight-A student determined to make his father proud. When Canyon and Alister are around each other, their banter, though meant to hurt, is witty with an undertone of attraction that you know when they get together, it's going to be intense.

I LOVED Canyon and his wonderland
This was one of my FAVORITES by this author!!!! From the first chapter to the epilogue, I was OBSESSED. Alis & Canyon were MADE to be written. So so so good. I love stepbrothers romances. And the fact that it was enemies to lovers also. I listened to the audio and the narrators were picked PERFECTLY!!!!!!! I cannot wait to read, listen, buy the next book by K Webster! 5 stars!!

Wow!
I really enjoyed this book, it was full of twists and turns, angst and love. A very wild ride. If you’re looking for something to read that isn’t your typical MM romance, look no further. The author has a way of drawing you in from the very beginning. And the narrators do an excellent job.

Chips off the Old Block
This is a tale of kids being kids, but then following in the footsteps of their fathers. It is angst ridden, full of fumbling and fondling, which without a good backing to nail the actions to, is just that. Therefore there is no substance or true meat to get your teeth into and keep you hooked into the story to take you to a hopeful and satisfying HEA. Being kids there can be no HEA, just a HFN.
All the MCs are unlikable, so I had no interest in finding the hero or a meaning to it all which made it trite. It seems the more ridiculous the MC's name, the more ridiculous the book.
Chose this book due to the excellent narrators and the good reviews. The narrators delivered, the reviews didn't. My expectations were not met; I was not entertained, just bored by it. I stopped half way through, not wishing to waste another minute of my life on it. DISAPPOINTING

Another amazing love story from great author
Having read few MM romance by K Webster, this book was one click buy for me and it did not disappoint.
Having listened to "Wicked Lies boys tell" at list twice in half a year, I know for sure this will be another one of re-read/re-listen book for me.
I just loved how both MCs were sure of themself but had a vulnerable at the same time, something I everyone can relate to. We are not all perfect and have our own insecurities, it's nice to see their way towards being happy.
And of course any book by there narrators are a good buy in my books.
