Malachi Keogh finds himself in a job he neither wanted nor asked for when his father, boss of Sydney’s postal service, sends him to the end of the business line, a.k.a. the Dead Letter Office. Malachi expects it to be tedious and boring, but instead discovers a warehouse with a quirky bunch of misfit co-workers, including a stoic and nerdy boss, Julian Pollard. Where Julian is calm and ordered, Malachi is chaos personified, but despite their outward differences, there’s an immediate chemistry between them that sends Malachi’s head - and heart - into a spin.

You think you know me. That's the way I want it. Making you feel like we know each other - like we could go grab a beer sometime - is part of my job. Maybe the most vital part. It doesn't hurt that I'm easy on the eyes, single at 35, and born richer than sin. My aesthetic matters much more than it should, but all the better for my worthy cause. And it's a worthy cause. I've made an art out of making you feel good, and my influence makes you want to be good. Good like me. You think you know me, but you don't. Everyone has secrets. Mine could cost me everything.

Publisher's Summary
Needing a change of scene, Griffin Burke moves from Brisbane to Coolum Beach to start a new job. The beautiful white sand, aqua-colored ocean, blue skies, and summer breezes are everything he longs for. What he finds is a mud-covered dog, lost and hungry, with a name tag and a phone number.
Dane Hughes is stuck in Surfers Paradise at a week-long work conference when he gets a phone call from his distraught mother. His dog, his fur baby, Wicket, has run away. Unable to leave and feeling helpless and miserable, he gets a text from a guy. "I think I found your dog..."
Griffin and Dane start talking, and Griffin agrees to look after Wicket until Dane can collect him. With a few days left before his new job starts, Griffin takes Wicket on some coastal adventures and sends Dane photos of their fun, and so the start of something new and kind of wonderful begins.
Griffin might have moved to Coolum in search of a new life, but what he finds is so much more. What he gets to keep just might take some four-legged help.

Adorable, sweet and perfect!
Finders Keepers is the epitome of a cutesy and fluffy book. Though It doesn’t feel shallow or simple. It’s straightforward without any added drama. It’s also really perfect from beginning to end.
Finders Keepers is a love story through and through. The love between a man and his dog. The love between two men and the love they have for the new shared dog. The friendship with Griffin’s seventy-something landlady and her lover K, and I have to say I’m a huge fan of those two, hilarious doesn’t begin to cover it.
If there is a better (or at least cuter) meet cute than the one between Dane and Griffin you have to look pretty hard. I mean the perfect man finds and rescues your perfect runaway furbaby, and spoils said furbaby rotten. Things don’t get better than that. Ever since that first phone call where Griffin tells Dane he found Wicket safe and sound, well dirty and tired but safe, there was this instant connection between them, the men and their dog. Because let’s face it Wicket just found himself another human to wrap around his little paw. And I dare any listener not to become equally huge fans of his. Dane ad Griffin made sense, they had this innate understanding of each other. They were inevitable. I think that’s one of the reasons why their relationship didn’t have this insta-love vibe, because it wasn’t. They were just meant to be.
Just like Joel Leslie was meant to narrate this wonderful book. As always he did a fantastic job bringing this story and these characters to life. He does a wonderful Aussie accent and is able to keep it up though out. I love a good Aussie accent so it’s always a treat listening to his narrations.
Leslie is a great voice actor. I genuinely felt Danes distress when Wicket was missing, his desperation to go out searching for his furbaby and best friend. I wanted to be out there looking, and I’m not only across the world, but feeling the need to look for a missing dog – a fictional missing dog. But that’s the draw of Wicket – among other things
I loved how Leslie portrayed Bernice and K. It was spot on. These two surfer hippies that loved their special brownies were just awesome. I could see them sitting there in the backyard, smoking pot and asking our two guys some fairly intimate questions. They were a wonderful addition to the story. I loved every single moment spent with them. They were colorful and fun – and Leslie gave them voices, life and sass.
Finders Keepers is a cutesy story about two men falling in love over a runaway dog, some special brownies and surfer hipsters. It’s a must read for all dog lovers and anyone looking for a fun summer read. It’s a book that will warmth your heart and soul.

Found it and keeping it
A delightfully sweet story with a wonderful narrator, whose acting is spot on, and a little ball of fluff that ends up helping to bring love to everyone he encounters. I loved all the characters in this story, especially Berniece and Kay, they were such a hoot. The romance is sweet and steamy. It’s a great read if you’re looking for something light and fun.

Nr Walker does it again.
some authors have so many books that the characters start to blend into each other, but not this author. Nr Walker delivers with a beautiful hea that makes you feel great, makes you laugh and can bring the heat in the most delicious way. Joel Leslie took the story from great to another level with his narration. I love when he adds his voice. he doesn't just read the book but puts himself into the characters and gives them more dimensions. Nr Walker, thank you for Dane and Griffins story. and of course the real star Wicket!

Meet Cute with a Happy Ending
Dual POV, low angst, super sexy, meet cute romance with some humor, unforgettable characters, and a very happy ending.
Joel Leslie proves once again how versatile and talented he is with numerous character voices ranging from their 20's to 80's. I don't know how he does it without breaking his voice, but it's incredible and worth the listen just for Leslie, and the bonus is the book's really good too.
Really, Finders Keepers is just a super sweet, super cute, low angst romance with the bonus of a cute dog.
I loved Bernice and K, I loved how Dane and Griffin try to go slow, but really can’t help wanting to be with each other, but mostly I love how N.R. Walker writes about normal people and situations, and how she takes every day living and shows how romance and love can be found in anything.
Finders Keepers is a cute story with some pretty hot sex and terrific narration. Recommended!

Fun, happy story
Simply put, Finders Keepers made me incredibly happy. I loved the characters, found the meet cute absolutely charming, and the romance was simple and sweet. Griffin and Dane are utterly adorable, and I loved their easy connection from the very start. I thought the way the book centered around a lost dog was absolutely the perfect story to highlight finding your match in the most unexpected way. On top of that, the cast of secondary characters in Finders Keepers proved to only enhance the story and my mood.
Joel Leslie's upbeat tempo and vibe was the perfect match for Finders Keepers and ensured I enjoyed the story from beginning to end. I highly recommend this listen for anyone in need of a mood lift or looking for a romance featuring a charming, furry sidekick.

A sweet romance.
This is my second book that I have read by N.R Walker. The first being Galaxies And Oceans.
I enjoyed the first one more because there was more drama involved that this one, which was a little too straight forward, with no tension or drama for the characters to grow through. Which, while not pleasant to read, it pulls me further into the story. This was still a nice story, and I grew to like the characters.

Not bad
I was half way through the second chapter when I realised I had already read this book, but as with a lot of N. R. Walker's books, it is good enough to hold my attention on a reread. I love this story, it is a real romance from start to finish, there are no outside events conspiring to keep them apart, it is just a tale of how they meet, get to know each other and figure out what they mean to each other.
Great side characters in Bernice and K, to provide light relief and be a sounding board for the guys and of course Wickett the star.
I don't mind Joel Leslie, some favourite audiobooks are narrated by him so his voices are very familiar but I think he struggled with this one. I recognized Griffin and Dane's voices as ones from previous books however they were not as consistent, varying between one or two of his other character accents. I think however, contrary to other reviews, it is the writing which makes it hard to distinguish between who is talking sometimes, as I remember it happened in the book. I am also not a fan of his female voices in general. Apart from those niggles, he did an excellent job and I was fully immersed in the story and his characters and enjoyed it very much.

Fluffy and sweet
As fluffy as Wicket after his bath and just as sweet. Lovely when you’re in the mood for something heartwarming. The chemistry between the two MCs was hot but didn’t overpower the romance.
Joel Leslie knocked it out of the park with his narration, as always.

shame about the voice
narrator sounded like a news reader...constantly brought me out of the story.
great voice but not conveying the truth of the moment in the story.

This is the sweetest story by N r Walker and brought to life by the amazing Joel Leslie. Together these two bring such happiness to their grateful audience, I highly recommend this story.
