Saddle Up for a Wildly Fun Ride in Mary Connealy's Latest

Bailey Wilde is one of the best new ranchers in the West. She's been living disguised as a man for a while, but when Gage Coulter comes to drive her off her homestead, he quickly realizes he's dealing with a woman - a very tough, very intriguing woman at that.

Gage is an honest man, but he didn't make his fortune being weak. He won't break the law, but he'll push as hard as he can within it. Five thousand acres of his best range land is lost to him because Bailey's homestead is located right across the only suitable entrance to a canyon full of lush grass. Gage has to regain access to his land - and he's got to go through Bailey to do it.

Spending a winter alone has a way of making a person crave some human contact. In a moment of weakness, Bailey agrees to a wild plan Gage concocts. Can these two independent, life-toughened homesteaders loosen up enough to earn each other's respect - and maybe find love in the process?

Great Series - Excellent Narrator

I found myself searching for this narrator in other books, she was so great. She changes the voices so subtlety that you just sank into the book—and this was consistent for the whole series. I loved the concept of three women disguised as men to serve in the Civil War and then homestead out West. Romantic, yet inspiring. Great author!!!

This is the adventure of the eldest Wilde sister and of her nesmis

The eldest of the Wilde sisters is left to face Winter alone in this harsh Oregon area. She refuses to accompany either one of her sisters along with each ones husband. Kylie is pregnant with their first child. As Shannon gives her a package before her and Tucker leaves, she whispers she, too, is pregnant, Bailey is happy for both of them but she doesn’t mind being alone with her ranch and animals .. That is until she experiences a very harsh, blizzard ridden. Winter.
She remembers the package her sister gave her last fall, still unopened. The contents changes the way she views herself from that time on.
The man who has been her main irritant shocks her with a new proposition.
The two of them, plus her ornery father, share further situations changing all of their lives forever.
Although slightly predictable, the feelings, events and adventures are totally captivating and compels the reader/listener to relish each page.
Barbara Mc Culloh does an excellent job in the use of various “ voices “, projecting emphasis in all the right places .
This is a story emphasizing Godly attitudes and values and making compromises in order to make peace.
It is also a tale about the distinctive forces of revenge, greed, and lack of work ethics.
I totally recommend this series t to both YA and Adults.
I give this recorded novel Four and a Half Stars rating.

I struggle to finish

this book is so drawn out and slow I last interest I think the writer wanted to make Bailey a strong home stead woman but to me I find her irritating and selfish
Gage is like a teenager not a strong character
the narrator with her slow whiny voice give me a headache the story line was not excited at all
